Dark Wizard: Rise! My undead army!

Chapter 295 "Squeezing In" into the World

Lynn accepted the quest.

The communication slab immediately vibrated and a message popped up:

"You have accepted the 'Investigation of Minor World X-882' mission. Mission Leader: War Affairs Department of the Bone Spire. Note: There is no direct teleportation array to this world; you must traverse the void yourself. Please proceed to world X-779 for transit. Coordinates have been provided. Good luck."

Lynn stood up and began packing her things.

All main undead units were collected into the Phase Lamp and the Undead Space.

Take inventory of the medicines, materials, and spare magical artifacts.

Half an hour later, he pushed open the laboratory door and walked towards the teleportation area.

...

When the light from the teleportation array faded, Lynn was already standing in another world.

The air was much hotter than the bone-strewn spire, with a faint smell of sulfur.

The sky was grayish-yellow, the sun was nowhere to be seen, only a thick layer of clouds.

There are mountains in the distance, their bodies a dark red color, the color of volcanic rock.

The teleportation hall was even more rudimentary than that of Beiming City; it was just a stone shed without even walls.

An apprentice in a short-sleeved shirt sat next to the control panel, fanning himself and muttering something to himself.

Upon seeing the teleportation array light up, the apprentice quickly stood up and ran over to bow.

"Sir! Welcome to X-779! Are you here for a transfer or to rest?"

Lynn stepped out of the teleportation array: "Transfer. To X-882."

The apprentice paused for a moment, then scratched his head: "X-882? That newly discovered one? Are you going to investigate, sir?"

Lynn didn't say anything.

The apprentice realized he had asked too many questions, so he quickly shut up, turned around and ran to the control panel, where he brought up a void star map.

Several bright spots are marked on the star chart. The largest one is X-779, and next to it is a smaller spot of light marked "X-882 (to be explored)".

"Sir, X-882 isn't far from here, about 30 million miles away as the crow flies."

The apprentice pointed to two points of light on the star chart.

"The void path is relatively stable, and no large energy storms have been detected recently. However, as you know, in places like the endless starry sky, you never know what might happen..."

He paused, then added, "We suggest you follow this route."

He drew an arc on the star chart with his finger.

"Going around this asteroid belt is a bit more of a journey, but it's still relatively safe. A few groups of people tried to take a shortcut and went straight through, only to encounter a swarm of void insects."

Lynn nodded and memorized the route.

He took a magic stone from his ring and tossed it to his apprentice.

The apprentice caught it, beaming with joy: "Thank you, sir! Have a safe journey!"

Lynn stepped out of the teleportation hall into a vast, open plain, presumably reserved for wizards to summon mounts.

He raised his hand and summoned a bone dragon that flew out of the undead realm and landed in front of him.

The dragon flipped itself onto its body, and the bone dragon flapped its wings and soared into the sky.

An endless starry sky.

Lynn gazed at the starry sky countless times.

I also briefly traveled through space on my last trip to the world of Aila, but that time the distance wasn't very far.

This was my first time truly venturing into the heart of the endless starry sky.

The bone dragon carried him higher and higher, and the world barrier of X-779 receded further and further behind, finally becoming a small dot and disappearing into the darkness.

It was completely dark around us.

Up, down, left, right, front, and back—it was all nothingness. There was no direction, no reference point, only a few stars in the distance, emitting a faint light.

Lynn sat on the dragon's back, taking in everything around him.

The power of the stars.

This place is perfect for absorbing the power of the stars.

In the main world, the power of the stars is filtered through layers of world barriers, and very little of it can reach the surface.

But in the endless starry sky, that energy is like the ocean, boundless and within reach.

Lynn closed his eyes and began meditating on the bone dragon's back.

The power of the surrounding stars slowly flowed into his body, more than ten times faster than in the main world.

There is also the power of space.

The void itself is the place where the laws of space are most active.

Those unseen spatial folds, faint cracks, and occasional ripples were all conveying information about the nature of space to him.

His spatial affinity is exceptionally keen here, allowing him to perceive many things that are imperceptible in the main world.

No wonder wizards who specialize in stars and space all like to go to the void.

This place is indeed more suitable for cultivation than the main world.

The bone dragon glided through the void at an astonishing speed.

With no air resistance, each flap of its wings increases its speed significantly.

The surrounding stars were slowly receding, but the point of light marked X-882 was still just a faint, indistinct bright spot.

We encountered a meteorite belt along the way.

Stones of all sizes floated in the air; some were only the size of a fist, while others were larger than mountains.

Lynn slowed the bone dragon down and carefully maneuvered around the large rocks.

After passing through the meteorite belt, the view ahead suddenly opened up.

The spot of light got bigger.

It was a pale blue planet, smaller than the world of Ella, with its surface covered by clouds and oceans.

It floats silently in the void, surrounded by a thin membrane—the World Barrier.

Lynn stopped the bone dragon and observed the planet from a distance.

【Analysis】Start.

The distance was too far, so he could only get a rough idea. The strength of the world barrier was roughly between the mid-level and peak of the third ring, which was about what he had estimated.

There are signs of life on the planet's surface, but strangely, the energy level of life is not high, and the life inside seems... unexpectedly weak.

Hmm...very weak.

The world's barriers are thinner than he anticipated.

Lynn hovered in the void, about a hundred miles away from the pale blue planet, his right hand pressed against the transparent membrane.

[Analysis] At full capacity, all one hundred workstations simultaneously analyze the barrier's structure, energy fluctuations, and regular frequencies.

With the experience from the last world, this time it went much more smoothly.

He soon discovered that the barrier's structure was extremely similar to that of the Ayra world, but with a different frequency.

It's like the same lock, just with a different combination.

As long as one can adjust their own rule frequency to make the barrier mistake them for an "indigenous creature," they can slip in silently.

Lynn closed his eyes, and the thirty chains of rules within his body began to slowly adjust.

Increase the frequency of the soil-related rules slightly, decrease the frequency of the water-related rules slightly, and adjust the temperature to match the internal temperature monitored by the barrier...

Like a tuner, he subtly adjusted the fluctuations of the body's internal rhythms.

Two hourglasses later, he opened his eyes.

It's adjusted.

Lynn released her hand from the barrier and leaned forward.

When his body touched the barrier, the thin film slightly dented, then parted like water, enveloping him and allowing him to slide inside.

The entire process was without any resistance, energy fluctuations, or even any reaction from the barrier.

Successful.

Lynn's lips curled slightly upward as he prepared to continue flying towards the planet's surface—

A shadow entered his senses, slowly flying past him from his side and behind.

He turned his head abruptly.

That was a... spaceship?
