Dark Wizard: Rise! My undead army!

Chapter 301 The Supreme God

"I am the High God, N'Zoth."

The man spoke, his voice not loud, yet it struck the old emperor's heart like the sound of a bell.

"I descended upon this world intending to protect you, but you have shown no respect for the gods and have become obsessed with machines. Now, a cataclysmic calamity is imminent, are you aware of this?"

The old emperor was stunned.

god?

What the hell is that?!

In this materialistic world, does such a thing really exist?

He has lived for over a hundred years and has seen countless people who claim to be gods, but they are all liars, madmen, and cultists.

But the person in front of him gave him a completely different feeling.

First and foremost is appearance.

The goblin world does not have a race called "humans"; apart from goblins, there are only ordinary beasts and the like.

If this so-called "god" is not in disguise, it is clearly not a being of this world.

Then there was the imposing presence; the man's mere presence alone instilled boundless fear in him.

It was a fear that rose from the depths of one's soul.

Moreover... to be able to quietly take oneself away from the heavily guarded imperial palace and come to this "alternate dimension" is indeed not something an ordinary person can do.

Even the most powerful "gene warriors" cannot do that.

Could I have been hypnotized? In a dream?

But... all of this feels so real.

The old emperor secretly pinched himself.

Hmm... I feel pain.

"You..." The old emperor's voice trembled, "You're really a god?"

The man raised his right hand.

A dim star suddenly became dozens of times brighter, and a silver beam of light condensed in his palm.

The light spun, contracted, and solidified, eventually becoming a miniature planet the size of a fist.

The pale blue planet has flowing clouds on its surface, and the outlines of continents are faintly visible.

Gruel.

The old emperor's pupils suddenly contracted.

The man waved his hand again, and another beam of light fell, condensing into a crimson sphere in his palm.

The sphere, trailing a long flame, was flying towards the blue planet.

A meteorite codenamed "Destroyer"!

"Five years from now." The man's voice was as calm as if he were stating the weather.

"This meteorite will strike this world, at which time all things will perish and all souls will vanish."

He withdrew his hand, and the two miniature planets floated in mid-air, slowly rotating.

The old emperor opened his mouth, but could not make a sound.

Although it's unknown whether this person is a god, his two hands alone demonstrate his extraordinary abilities.

This is beyond the capabilities of an old goblin like myself.

Let's try to calm him down first, see what he's up to, and get him out of danger first.

The man continued talking to himself.

"An apocalyptic catastrophe is imminent, and with your current level of technology, you have no chance of escaping unscathed."

"Don't expect to build an interstellar spaceship to escape your home planet. There is a barrier outside the world that is both a protection and a constraint."

"Your ship has no chance of getting out of the barrier, and you... will eventually be destroyed on your home planet."

The man looked at him calmly.

"But I can give you a way out—believe in me, and I will protect you."

The old emperor looked excited, seemingly truly moved by Lynn's words.

He climbed off the bed, knelt on the floor, and touched the ground with his forehead.

"By the Most High God...we wish to believe...we wish to believe..."

The man's voice came from above: "In three days, I will perform a miracle. At that time, you must call upon all people to believe in me."

The old emperor raised his head, as if to say something.

But there was no one in front of him.

Only the two miniature planets remained suspended in mid-air, slowly rotating before dissipating into specks of light.

The surrounding darkness gradually faded, and the old emperor could clearly feel that he had left the alternate dimension and returned to the palace.

He collapsed to the ground, panting heavily.

I survived at least.

After a long while, he finally got up and pressed another button by the bedside—not to summon the guards, but to summon the core ministers.

...

A quarter of an hour later, in a secret chamber of the palace.

It was the middle of the night when the five ministers received the king's urgent summons and rushed to the palace as quickly as possible.

They sat around a round table, each with a different expression.

The Minister of Science and Technology yawned, the Minister of Genetics looked puzzled, the Minister of Industry was expressionless, and the Minister of Astronomy was the most alert, but he was also rubbing his temples.

The chubby Minister of Resources straightened his robes while stuffing a donut into his mouth.

The emperor sat in the main seat, his face pale.

"Your Majesty, what has happened that summoned us so late?" the Minister of Science and Technology asked.

The emperor was silent for a few seconds before speaking: "Just now... I saw a god."

The five ministers were stunned at the same time.

"God?" The Minister of Science and Technology's yawn vanished instantly.

"Your Majesty, do you know what you're saying?"

"A mysterious being who calls himself N'Zoth, the supreme god."

The emperor recounted what had just happened, from the person appearing out of thin air, to tearing open space, to condensing a planet, to finally disappearing.

After he finished speaking, the secret room fell into a deathly silence.

The five ministers looked at each other in bewilderment.

The Minister of Science and Technology was the first to speak: "Your Majesty, are you sure you're not dreaming?"

"I am perfectly sober."

"Then..." the Minister of Genetics hesitated, "Could it be that someone has cast an illusion spell? Some drugs can create hallucinations, making people believe they've seen God..."

The emperor frowned: "Do you think I would be drugged?"

"No, that's not what I meant..." The Minister of Genetics quickly waved his hand.

The Minister of Industry coughed and said, "Your Majesty, I have a suggestion."

"explain."

"May Your Majesty conduct a mental and identity verification?"

The emperor was taken aback: "What do you mean?"

The Minister of Industry explained, "We need to confirm that His Majesty is mentally sound, not being controlled, and has not been replaced."

"After all... this is too bizarre. What if His Majesty has been bewitched, or impersonated by someone? Our subsequent decisions will be in jeopardy."

The Minister of Science and Technology nodded: "I second that. Let's set aside internal issues first, and then discuss external matters."

The emperor was silent for a moment, then nodded: "Good."

Over the next half hour, the five ministers took turns speaking.

First comes the spiritual verification.

The Minister of Genetics took out a helmet-like device and put it on the emperor's head.

The instrument comprehensively examines the emperor's mental state through electroencephalogram (EEG) scanning, hormone testing, and neurological response testing.

The data on the display screen popped up one by one.

"Normal." The Minister of Genetics looked at the results. "Perfectly normal. There are no signs of drug influence or any indication of mental illness."

Then comes authentication.

The Minister of Science and Technology took out a miniature scanner and compared the emperor's eyes, fingerprints, voiceprints, and even DNA.

The data popped up again.

"The fit is 99.999%." The Minister of Science and Technology looked up. "This is His Majesty's original body; it has not been replaced."

The Minister of Industry breathed a sigh of relief: "That's good. At least we can be sure now that His Majesty is still His Majesty."

The emperor removed his helmet and looked at them: "Now do you believe me?"

The five ministers remained silent.

Do I believe it? I can't say for sure.

The emperor was fine, and that person certainly existed, but whether that person was a god remained a question.
