Dark Wizard: Rise! My undead army!

Chapter 363 Fierce Battle Against the Holy Light Legion

Upon hearing that hundreds of thousands of dead souls were blocking their path, the leader of the six-winged angels spoke up.

Its sound was not loud, but very clear, like the echo of a bell in the air.

"What kind of undead is it? What is its level?"

The Paladin Commander closed his eyes briefly, as if recalling the images transmitted by the Bird of Paradise.

"Most of them are low-level undead, such as skeletons, zombies, and ghouls, but there are some big ones in the middle."

"I saw a skeletal dragon, a lava colossus, a giant tree, and a huge eye. They are all of a high level, at least Cataclysmic."

The six-winged angel paused for a moment.

This infiltration of the third defense zone was on a mission, and if we get entangled with these undead, it might affect our subsequent mission.

His wings were fluttering gently, and flames danced along the edges of his feathers.

"Is it possible to go around it?"

The Paladin Commander shook his head.

"There's no way around it. They're spread out too wide, stretching from east to west as far as the eye can see. We're in the middle, so no matter which way we go, we'll bump into them."

Another six-winged angel spoke, his voice even colder.

"Then attack, break through their formation, tear a gap in the middle, and charge out."

The leading six-winged angel did not respond immediately; he was assessing and weighing his options.

Hundreds of thousands of undead, most of whom are low-level, are not a major concern.

But those cataclysmic behemoths are not easy to deal with.

Skeletal dragons, lava colossi, giant trees, and enormous eyeballs, along with shadowy figures whose ranks were indistinguishable.

If they get entangled, the entire team could get stuck.

But what else can we do if we don't fight?

Back off?

Behind them is the second line of defense; their mission is infiltration and sabotage, not retreat.

Taking a detour?

Taking a detour will take time, and if we can't get back before dawn, we'll be discovered.

The leading six-winged angel made a decision.

"Break through!"

"Paladin in front, priest in the middle, angel in the rear, everyone maintain formation, do not scatter, activate Holy Light Shield at full power, do not conserve energy."

The Paladin Commander raised his lance above his head, and a golden light shone from the tip.

"Attention all personnel—Charge formation! Holy Light Shield! Prepare—"

The paladins behind him simultaneously raised their spears, the golden light at the tips of the spears forming a continuous golden wall.

The warhorse began to accelerate, its four hooves pounding the ground, the hoofprints growing brighter and brighter.

The priests began to chant, their voices low and deep, as if they were coming from underground.

The Holy Light emblem on their chests grew brighter and brighter, the light emanating from the emblem and converging on the paladins, forming a golden shield around their bodies.

The two-winged and four-winged angels flew lower, folded their wings, lit up their lightsabers, and followed behind the paladin.

Two six-winged angels flew at the forefront, their spears pointing towards the undead army.

The Grand Master loosened the reins, gripped the lance with both hands, and pointed the tip forward.

He saw the black tide, the skeletal Tyrannosaurus Rex at the very front of it, and the dense swarms of skeletons and zombies behind it.

His heart was beating slightly faster, but it wasn't out of fear, just the anticipation of a major battle.

He had fought battles for over a hundred years and had seen far more terrifying scenes than this.

The Paladin Commander took a deep breath and then roared.

"charge--!"

Hundreds of holy warhorses accelerated simultaneously, their hooves thundering and the ground trembling.

Golden light burst forth from the center of the knights, like a sun falling on the wasteland.

The paladins' lances formed a continuous line, the priests' chants merged into one, and the angels' lightsabers intertwined into a single mass.

The entire team was enveloped in holy light, like a giant cone of light, piercing towards the undead army!

Low-ranking undead are as fragile as paper.

Megatron sensed the danger and nimbly avoided the head-on collision with the cone. Seeing the cone of light rushing towards it, it opened its mouth and spewed a stream of destructive molten liquid at it.

The dark golden flames collided with the light cone, exploded, and scattered countless sparks.

The light cone trembled, but did not shatter, and continued to surge forward.

Megatron spat out another breath, but the light cone remained firmly in place.

The Decepticon pounced from the side, its Thousand Soul Chains wrapping around the edge of the light cone, trying to pull it off course.

The chains were burned through by the holy light, and the fire demon rushed out from the right, with magma gushing out from its feet, trying to block the path of the light cone.

The light cone rolled over the magma, which was evaporated by the holy light and turned into white mist.

The Frost Whale unleashed its frigid breath, which struck the cone of light and condensed into a thin layer of ice.

The light cone trembled, the ice shattered, and it continued to surge forward.

The paladin commander gritted his teeth, pointing his spear forward.

His arm was numb and blood was flowing from the web of his hand, but he did not let go.

The Holy Light Shield was trembling and depleting, but it could still hold on.

He saw the skeletal Tyrannosaurus Rex, the enormous eyeball, and the moving volcano.

He knew there were bigger guys waiting for him ahead, but he couldn't stop.

To stop is to die.

"Don't stop! Keep going!" he roared.

The paladins roared along with him.

The voices were very unified, like one person shouting.

Their spears were glowing, their warhorses were neighing, and their holy shields were burning.

They trampled through the low-ranking undead, crushing skeletons, flattening zombies, and burning ghouls to ashes with holy light.

Black bones and bits of flesh were pushed to both sides by golden cones of light, like plowed-out soil.

But the Paladin Commander gradually sensed that something was wrong.

The lower-ranking undead were more resistant to Holy Light than expected.

Unlike other undead they had encountered before, they did not collapse at the first touch, but possessed a certain degree of resistance and struggled for a long time before falling.

Some skeletons, when touched by the holy light, did not immediately turn to ash. Instead, they rolled on the ground as if burned, and it took them a long time to die.

Some zombies, pierced by spears, did not immediately stop moving, but instead clung to the spear shafts, struggling several times before finally letting go.

The Holy Light Shield was being depleted faster than expected, and the priests' chanting became increasingly urgent, their foreheads covered in sweat.

The leading six-winged angel also sensed it.

He saw a four-winged angel flying at the forefront, his spear glowing with holy light, each strike capable of killing a dozen or so undead.

But he discovered that previously, a single spear thrust from the four wings would annihilate all the undead within a radius of several hundred meters, but now the undead on the outer perimeter could escape with severe injuries.

He said to another six-winged angel, "Something's wrong with these undead; they're far too resistant to the Holy Light."

The other six-winged angel nodded.

"This is very unusual. Could it be the latest trick that those damn bedbugs have come up with?"

The leading six-winged angel paused for a moment, then said, "This undead legion must be controlled by a wizard. Find that wizard and kill him!"

The other six-winged angel did not answer; his gaze passed over the army of the dead and looked towards the very back.

There was a bone dragon there, and a person was sitting on its back.

He wore a black robe and a hood that covered his face, making his expression impossible to see.

The man was watching them, motionless, as if he were watching a play.

The two six-winged angels exchanged a glance, then simultaneously accelerated and flew towards the bone dragon.
