Dark Wizard: Rise! My undead army!

Chapter 408 Tide of Faith

After Gregor finished looking at everything, Lynn turned and walked towards the edge of the island, preparing to show his mentor the world.

Gregor followed behind, looking around at the island.

The two walked on the black soil of the island of death. The soil beneath their feet was exceptionally soft, leaving shallow footprints with every step.

In the distance, skeleton soldiers patrolled, arranged in neat square formations, moving from east to west and from south to north.

The zombies lay on the beach, half their bodies buried in the sand, the waves washing over them, gradually swelling and turning them white.

The ghouls crouched on the edge of the rift, still happily hunting seabirds.

Gregor looked at the undead without speaking; he had already passed the stage of being interested in the dead.

What interests him is the myriad phenomena, this vast web of rules, and every single rule within this realm of sacred marks.

The two walked to the highest point of the island.

From here, you can see the entire island, as well as the ocean and distant land.

A skeletal dragon flew over and landed beside the two.

Lynn led Gregor onto the back of the bone dragon, which then took off and flew towards the continent.

Gregor stood on the bone dragon, his gaze passing over the receding black earth of the Isle of Death and looking towards the distant land.

There are cities, villages, churches, and factories there.

The green-skinned goblins were busy in the city; some worked in factories, some toiled in the fields, and some prayed in churches.

Goblins are extremely common in the endless universe, and Gregor is no stranger to them either, often seeing them in the Academy.

These guys have an exceptionally high fertility rate. If goblins appear in a world, it won't be long before the entire world is filled with little green gnomes.

Lynn pointed to a city in the distance.

"That's Gear Town, the main industrial city of the goblin world."

Gregor looked in the direction he was pointing.

The city's outline is small, with only a few towering chimneys and dense buildings visible.

His gaze suddenly fell on several human figures hovering in the sky above the city.

Is this... an angel?

Yes, that's a fallen angel; its black and white wings are particularly striking in the sunlight.

They flew very low, hovering over the city, and golden light shone down on them as they flew over different areas.

The light fell on the streets, on the rooftops, and on the square.

The square was filled with kneeling goblins.

Their skin is green, and they wear clothes of various colors. There are workers, merchants, farmers, women, and children.

They knelt on the ground, clasped their hands together, and looked up at the angels in the sky.

Golden light fell on them, illuminating their faces and highlighting the wrinkles around their eyes and the beads of sweat on their foreheads.

An old woman knelt in the center of the square; she was unable to walk and had been bedridden for many years.

Golden light fell on her legs, and she felt warmth spreading from her knees to her toes.

She tried to move her toes, and they moved. She tried to bend her knees, and they bent. The sensation in her whole body returned.

With the help of the person next to her, she slowly stood up and eventually stood up straight, and her leg pain was gone.

She knelt down, her forehead striking the stone slab, and cried out the name of the Most High God.

Gregor stood on the rock, listening to the distant roar.

"The Supreme God—N'Zoth!!"

"The Supreme God—N'Zoth!!!"

The sound surged from the square, spreading like waves, one after another, each higher than the last.

The voice contained crying, laughter, trembling, and hoarseness.

They gathered together, coalescing into a golden mist that rose from the city and drifted toward the Island of Death.

This is... a tide formed by the power of faith!

Lynn nodded in satisfaction. It seemed that Augustus had a good way of raising faith.

As the golden mist passed over Gregor's head, he felt a slight burning sensation on his skin.

It was the purification of the tide of faith; the power of faith was purifying his body, burning away the negative emotions he carried from the eternal graveyard bit by bit.

Gregor's body showed no other changes; the power of faith merely passed by him without entering his body.

He has no faith in the Supreme God, and the power of faith has no effect on him.

Lynn stood beside him, watching the golden mist drift towards the myriad phenomena.

The mist seeped into Wanxiang's chest, and Wanxiang's body lit up for a moment. Grayish-white mist surged out from its body, enveloping the golden mist and dragging it into its body.

The power of the world surged forth from all things, flowing to the earth, to the ocean, and to the sky.

The earth trembled slightly, the ocean churned gently, and the clouds in the sky moved slowly.

Gregor looked away.

"The world is getting stronger."

Lynn nodded.

"The extraordinary power here has just been born and is still very weak. As long as we continue to convert the power of faith, the extraordinary power here can continue to increase."

"Have you ever thought about introducing elemental fissures or ley lines?" Gregor crouched down and pressed his hand against the ground.

"If there is a stable source of elements, the concentration of extraordinary elements in this world will increase rapidly."

Lynn shook her head.

"We haven't found a suitable one yet. This world was a technological civilization before, but it didn't have a supernatural foundation. Elemental rifts and ley lines need to be slowly nurtured by the world itself, or transplanted from other worlds."

Gregor stood up and looked around at this newly reborn little world.

"If you conquer other worlds in the future, you can choose a few worlds with ley lines or elemental rifts, dig out their cores, and bury them in this world."

Lynn glanced at him. "Mentor, are you interested in changing the world?"

Gregor smiled.

"It's not that I'm interested, it's just that I feel it's a pity. This small world has a good foundation, and the environment has been restored after you purified it. It just lacks a stable source of elements."

He watched as the golden mist disappeared into the body of Wanxiang.

"You have a long way to go, and this world will grow along with you, perhaps becoming another wizarding world in the future."

Lynn nodded. Now that the goblin world had become his own sacred domain, he would nurture it well.

After touring the goblin world, the two spent some more time on the island of death.

Gregor studied the myriad things from head to toe, scanning its body structure with his mental power, probing its reactions with death energy, and touching every line on its surface with his hands.

Wanxiang stood there, motionless, letting him study it.

The gray mist on the surface of the body was flowing slowly, and occasionally purple mist escaped from it.

The purple mist was very light; it dispersed as soon as it reached the air, but left a tiny crack in the air before it dispersed.

Those were the traces of space being swallowed up.

This purple mist is truly formidable.

"What is this?" Gregor pointed at the purple mist.

"The power of devouring is generated after I merged my own blood into the body of Wanxiang. It may be related to my Starry Sky Beast bloodline."

Gregor stared at the crack for a long time before reaching out to touch it.

The moment my finger touched the crack, the skin at my fingertip was torn open, and blood seeped from the wound.

He withdrew his hand, looking at the tiny wound on his fingertip. The edges of the wound had neat cuts, indicating that something had bitten it off.

That's quite a domineering force.

Unfortunately, Lynn did not activate the "Devour" talent.
