Chapter 31 The Primordial Chaos Realm is Quasi-Saint, Hongjun Aims to Merge with the Dao

Hongyun remained silent. Zhen Yuanzi thought for a moment, then declined, explaining to Houtu that he planned to return and break through his cultivation realm after listening to the Dao.

Hearing this, Houtu couldn't help but feel a little envious, saying, "You immortals cultivate your primordial spirit, which is much better than our witch clan, who can only cultivate their physical body."

"Moreover, the Dao Ancestor also said that this sermon will also pass on the method of severing the three corpses. This method is based on the primordial spirit and is not applicable to our Wu clan."

"According to what the Dao Ancestor said, the only way to prove the Dao is through force. We can give it a try."

Upon hearing this, Zhen Yuanzi fell silent. After a moment's thought, he comforted her, saying, "Houtu, why don't you take this opportunity while you're listening to the Dao to ask the Dao Ancestor if the Wu Clan might have any other auspicious connections?"

Upon hearing this, Houtu's eyes lit up, and she said, "Very well, I must thank you for your guidance, fellow Daoist."

The two chatted back and forth, but Hongyun pretended not to see them at all. Meanwhile, in Zixiao Palace, as time went by, more and more powerful figures arrived.

Even on the prayer mats beside them, Jieyin and Zhunti were seated. When the two brothers entered the sect, they could hardly believe their eyes when they saw these two prayer mats.

Even the Guide, who usually wore a sour expression, rarely showed a bright smile.

They hurriedly sat down, and when they saw Hongyun sitting next to them, they still felt a bit of an instinctive unease.

However, thinking that he had already established good relations with Hongyun and Zhenyuanzi, he felt relieved and exchanged greetings with each other.

The last two to enter Zixiao Palace were the Eastern King Duke and the Western Queen Mother.

With the task of managing the primordial world, their energy was inevitably scattered, and their cultivation level had already begun to lag behind that of others.

However, they manage the immortals, establish order in the primordial world, and possess merit. They carry the aura of superiors, which makes them worthy of respect.

Thus, after all the destined powerful beings had gathered, Hongjun finally appeared and, without wasting any words, began to preach.

The second sermon at Zixiao Palace was about the Primordial Chaos Dao. After Hongjun Daozu's explanation, everyone finally understood the Primordial Chaos realm.

It turns out that above the Great Luo Golden Immortal, one is not immediately at the Primordial Great Luo Golden Immortal realm. There is another realm in between called the Primordial Golden Immortal.

However, the title "Primordial Golden Immortal" was used before the last great calamity. Hongjun Daozu has now renamed this realm as "Quasi-Saint".

If one follows the method of severing the three corpses, then after reaching the Great Luo Golden Immortal stage, one only needs to sever one corpse to become a Quasi-Saint.

Severing one corpse signifies the early stage of Quasi-Saint, severing two corpses signifies the middle stage of Quasi-Saint, and severing three corpses signifies the late stage of Quasi-Saint.

However, if one can reunite the three corpses after severing them, then one is a Primordial Golden Immortal.

This Primordial Golden Immortal is the pinnacle of immortality, and also the realm of a sage. However, a sage is a Primordial Golden Immortal, but a Primordial Golden Immortal is not a sage.

There can only be a maximum of nine sages in the world. Even if others can attain enlightenment, they can only become Primordial Golden Immortals.

Three thousand years of preaching, immersed in listening to the sermons, passed by quickly without us even realizing it.

When the Daoist chanting that had been lingering in her ears stopped, Hongyun opened her eyes and saw that the Daoist Ancestor Hongjun on the platform was no longer preaching.

The other powerful beings also woke up one after another, all looking as if they hadn't had enough.

Hongjun Daozu glanced at everyone and said, "Since Pangu created the world, I obtained the Jade Tablet of Creation and cultivated to become a saint. However, at the time of creation, the Jade Tablet of Creation also suffered a calamity, so the Great Dao is incomplete and the Heavenly Dao is also flawed."

"Ten thousand years later, when I preached the Dao for the third time at Zixiao Palace and finished expounding on the Dao of the Sage, I will merge with the Dao to complete the Dao of Heaven, and from then on I will no longer be a sage."

Upon hearing this, everyone was greatly alarmed. Then, the Dao Ancestor Hongjun said, "At that time, I will be the Heavenly Dao, not Hongjun. I will only govern the general trend. If the general trend of the prehistoric world remains unchanged, I will not appear in the prehistoric world. You must also remember that you must not defy the Heavenly Dao, otherwise even if you become a saint, you will still be punished by the Heavenly Dao."

After saying this, Hongjun Daozu's eyes suddenly became deep and profound. Everyone was unconsciously drawn to his eyes, and felt an incomparably terrifying heavenly might erupt, as if they were in the midst of a heavenly punishment.

The terrifying feeling of becoming incredibly small under the might of the heavens sent chills down everyone's spines.

When he regained consciousness, he looked at Hongjun Daozu again and found that his eyes had returned to normal.

But everyone knew that this was a warning from Hongjun Daozu to them, so they quickly said they dared not.

Hongjun Daozu nodded and was about to dismiss everyone when Houtu suddenly stood up and asked, "Daozu, Houtu has something to ask."

Upon hearing this, Hongjun Daozu glanced at Houtu and said, "I already know the answer to your question. There will be a proper time in the future. You may leave now."

Upon hearing this, Houtu, though unaware of what the Dao Ancestor Hongjun meant by "fate," had no choice but to sit back down.

After Hongjun answered Houtu's question, he did not allow everyone to continue asking questions as he had done last time. Instead, he directly announced the end of the sermon and told everyone to go back to their seclusion and cultivate in peace, and to come back again after ten thousand years.

Then his figure disappeared from the platform. Seeing this, everyone got up and left Zixiao Palace.

Zhen Yuanzi and Hongyun got up and saw that Houtu was still sitting in the same place. Zhen Yuanzi quickly called out, "Houtu, let's go."

Houtu seemed to come to her senses, forced a smile, and then said to Zhen Yuanzi and Hongyun, "Fellow Daoists, I'm afraid I won't be able to attend the next lecture."

"Why?" Zhen Yuanzi asked, frowning.

Houtu shook her head and explained, "The Dao that Hongjun Daozu speaks of is becoming more and more profound. After all, I am an Ancestral Witch without a primordial spirit, so I gained almost nothing from this lecture."

"If we talk about the way of the sages next time, it will be even harder to understand. So rather than gaining nothing, it's better to stay in the clan and reunite with your brothers."

Upon hearing this, Zhen Yuanzi sighed and said, "Very well! But Houtu, don't be discouraged. As the saying goes, the great path leads to the same destination. The primordial spirit and the physical body are just different in their own way."

"Although your Wu clan does not cultivate the primordial spirit, what race in the primordial world can surpass you in the power of your physical body?"

Upon hearing this, Houtu smiled and said, "Thank you for your comfort, Brother Zhenyuan. In that case, Houtu will take her leave now."

Zhen Yuanzi watched Houtu leave, and then, after striking Hongyun, he suddenly came to his senses.

Turning my head, I saw a mischievous smile on Hongyun's face.

"What's wrong?" Zhen Yuanzi asked, puzzled.

"Brother, you've taken a fancy to Houtu?" Hongyun asked with a grin.

Upon hearing this, Zhen Yuanzi quickly covered Hongyun's mouth, then looked around guiltily. Seeing that no one was paying attention, he breathed a sigh of relief and said to Hongyun, "Don't talk nonsense, we are just fellow Daoists."

"And don't you think the ancestral witches, without primordial spirits and unable to hear the Dao, would feel very disappointed?"

Hongyun thought for a moment and said, "That's because you haven't experienced their punches, brother. Aren't their physical bodies something we envy?"

Zhen Yuanzi nodded upon hearing this, then shook his head. For a moment, he didn't know what to say, and simply said, "Alright, let's go back too."

The two left Zixiao Palace and, together, summoned their respective lotus platforms before heading back towards Longevity Mountain.

He planned to return to the mountain to discuss and exchange ideas, and then use the method of severing the three corpses to break through his realm and advance to the quasi-saint level.
