Primordial Era: If I remain in Longevity Mountain, I will steadily attain sainthood.

Chapter 57: The Establishment of the Western Religion, Four People Achieving Sainthood

Chapter 57: The Establishment of the Western Religion, Four People Achieving Sainthood

Moreover, once the three thousand lesser worlds have all transformed into middle worlds, a large number of new worlds will be born around each of these middle worlds, and then they will continue to evolve and grow.

However, this formed one miniature world after another.

A completely stable structure of the Great Thousand Worlds requires three thousand Middle Thousand Worlds as its subordinates to maintain its stability.

Each of the three thousand middle-thousand worlds is surrounded by three thousand lesser-thousand worlds. Even the lesser-thousand worlds themselves are surrounded by countless smaller worlds, constantly being created and destroyed.

At this moment, the Jianmu tree grew even taller, almost as tall as the entire Qiankun World, which was surrounded by the three thousand middle thousand worlds.

At first glance, it seems as if it is revolving around the Jianmu tree, with countless worlds constantly shuttling back and forth among its branches and leaves.

By this time, Jianmu had become a true world tree.

Hongyun sensed the change in his strength. His cultivation level was at the normal late-stage Quasi-Saint level, but his magical power was truly terrifying.

Unfortunately, without any reference point, Hongyun wasn't entirely sure of the extent of his magical power.

This is also the terrifying aspect of the world's path to enlightenment.

His cultivation level wasn't high, but his magical power was ridiculously strong.

Moreover, as the Qiankun World was upgraded to the Great Thousand World, the original world consciousness within the Qiankun World finally completed its transformation and became the Heavenly Dao.

With the Heavenly Dao in place, the world operates in a more orderly and complete manner than before.

Hongyun silently comprehended the changes in himself and the universe, consolidating his cultivation. In the blink of an eye, another hundred years had passed.

Only then did Hongyun finally emerge from seclusion.

Meanwhile, the millennium was almost up, so Hongyun took Zhenyuanzi with her, and the two headed west.

On Mount Sumeru.

Hongyun, Zhenyuanzi, Jieyin, and Zhunti met.

"Senior Brother Zhenyuan, Senior Brother Hongyun."

"My two junior brothers."

The two sides greeted each other amicably.

Next, they talked and discussed for a long time, and settled all the details.

Finally, the time to establish a religion has come.

On this day, all living beings in the primordial world were peacefully multiplying and thriving when suddenly, the beings of the western lands heard sounds coming from the direction of Mount Sumeru.

The sound wasn't very loud at first, but gradually it grew louder and louder, like rolling thunder.

The news spread in all directions, reaching all corners of the primordial world.

Finally, it attracted the attention of countless beings, and even the great powers from all corners of the world, who watched with astonishment the various amazing phenomena that appeared on Mount Sumeru.

"If I attain enlightenment and become a sage of the Heavenly Dao, I will surely enable all sentient beings in the West to achieve immortality. Time flows like water, and the past is gone forever!"

"If I attain enlightenment and become a sage of the Heavenly Way, I will ensure that all sentient beings in the West are free from the corruption of heretics and do not suffer evil consequences."

"If I attain enlightenment and become a sage of the Heavenly Dao, all sentient beings in the West who recite my name will attain boundless and limitless freedom!"

"If I attain enlightenment and become a sage of the Heavenly Way, all sentient beings in the West will be freed from all kinds of karmic obstacles and attain liberation."

"If I attain enlightenment and become a sage of the Heavenly Way, all sentient beings in the West will attain immortality, and if they recite my name, they will live as long as Heaven and exist as long as Earth."

"If I attain enlightenment and become a sage of the Heavenly Dao, all sentient beings in the Western Paradise..."

In the sky above Mount Sumeru, the figures of Hongyun, Zhenyuanzi, Jieyin, and Zhunti appeared, and the four of them chanted a total of forty-eight great vows in unison.

This finally aroused the hopes of countless beings and moved the heavens, resulting in various extraordinary phenomena.

It alarmed all corners of the world.

However, even so, it was still lacking the final touch. At this moment, the four of them exchanged a glance and added another grand ambition.

There is one more than the original forty-eight great vows, making a total of forty-nine great vows.

"Boom!"

All four felt a sudden jolt in their hearts, for Heaven had finally recognized them. Overjoyed, they saw Zhen Yuanzi raise the Twelve-Petaled White Lotus of Purification, while Jieyin also raised the Twelve-Petaled Golden Lotus of Merit.

Both lotus platforms shone brightly at the same time.

The four of them shouted in unison, "Heaven above, we, Zhen Yuanzi (Hongyun, Jieyin, and Zhunti), hereby establish a great religion, the Western Religion, to educate the beings of the West and bring great prosperity to the West. We beseech Heaven to witness this."

"We use the twelve-petaled Pure White Lotus and the twelve-petaled Golden Lotus of Merit to suppress the Western Sect's destiny. The Western Sect is established!!"

As the four voices faded, a booming sound came from the sky, and a vast amount of merit surged forth from the void.

Of the four portions of merit, a slightly larger one fell on Hongyun. This is because the Western Religion was founded under Hongyun's leadership.

Two smaller portions of merit were awarded to Zhen Yuanzi and Jieyin respectively, because the two used magic weapons to suppress the great sect's fortune, thus receiving a larger share.

The merit of Cundi is the smallest portion.

Even so, with the four portions of merit entering their bodies, the auras of the four individuals steadily increased.

A terrifying aura emanated from all directions, spreading outwards and becoming increasingly frightening and astonishing.

The powerful beings from all corners of the world were already stunned and speechless.

When did Zhen Yuanzi, Hongyun, Jieyin, and Zhunti get together? And even establish a sect together?

Not only did he establish a religion, but he also received divine merit!

Where can I explain this?

The four established their teachings and proved their faith without any mistakes. The immense merit brought about by their forty-nine great vows enabled their cultivation to rise steadily.

Finally, with a loud boom, endless wonders suddenly bloomed. In an instant, all directions of the primordial world were filled with falling flowers, golden lotuses rising from the earth, and countless rays of light and strange colors.

Furthermore, four immensely powerful auras of sainthood enveloped and spread throughout the entire world.

A vast expanse of purple mist stretched across the sky above Mount Sumeru.

At this moment, Zhen Yuanzi, Hongyun, Jieyin, and Zhunti finally attained enlightenment.

Moreover, at the same moment they broke through to the Hunyuan realm, the Primordial Purple Qi was also completely refined by them.

Their primordial spirits, through the Primordial Purple Qi, were entrusted to the void of heaven and earth, and from then on, heaven and earth would never perish, nor would the sages.

This is what is meant by refining emptiness and uniting with the Dao.

The so-called emptiness is the void of heaven and earth, the universe itself. The sage is in harmony with heaven and earth, therefore heaven and earth are imperishable, and so is the sage.

As for the claim that the primordial spirit of a sage resides in the Heavenly Dao, that is not the case. The Heavenly Dao is not a tangible thing, but rather a product of the condensation and transformation of the world's consciousness.

One cannot entrust one's primordial spirit to a sage unless one, like the Dao Ancestor Hongjun, merges with the Dao and completely integrates oneself into the Heavenly Dao.

But to sacrifice oneself in this way is tantamount to annihilating oneself, and apart from Hongjun Daozu, probably no one in the world can do it.

The sage's primordial spirit refines the void of the universe and resides in the void, thus becoming immortal and indestructible, untouched by cause and effect, and impervious to countless eons.

At the same time, having reached this stage, the sage is equivalent to a part of heaven and earth, and naturally, can easily communicate with the Way of Heaven and borrow its power.

This is what a sage is. Therefore, it is not that the Way of Heaven is imperishable and the sage is imperishable, but rather that Heaven and Earth are imperishable and the sage is imperishable.

Hongyun, Zhenyuanzi, Jieyin, and Zhunti were overjoyed to become Heavenly Saints.

Hongyun said to Daoist Yin and Daoist Zhunti, "My brother and I are both idle people. From now on, we will have to trouble you two to take care of the affairs of the Western Sect."

"As for my brother and me, we plan to establish a Taoist temple in the Chaos beyond the Thirty-Three Heavens and move Longevity Mountain there as well. From now on, we do not intend to concern ourselves with too many worldly affairs."
