People in America: My Uncle Don Quixote
Chapter 141 A Pair of Sneakers
To be objective, this was not a pleasant experience, at least not on a physiological level.
Anya had absolutely no experience; all her knowledge came from the romance novels circulating in private or the whispers among her best friends. After a while, Anya stopped, breathing heavily, her lips bulging.
She raised her head, her eyes somewhat unfocused yet carrying a strange meaning as she looked at Li Wei.
Before Li Wei could say anything, she pounced on him with her mouth wide open.
Li Wei was horrified, "Don't!"
After fussing for a while, Anya rinsed her mouth and lay in Li Wei's arms.
"How was it?" She traced circles on Li Wei's pectoral muscles with her fingers, saying with a hint of smugness, "Weren't you ecstatic? Hmm? Aren't I talented? I specifically asked an older sister for help." "You asked someone?" Li Wei asked, "Who?"
"Ugh!" Anya blushed and grabbed Levi's pectoral muscle. "Don't ask!"
"By the way... why didn't you kiss me just now?" She got more and more excited as she spoke, flipping over and straddling Li Wei's lap, staring intently at him. "Are you disgusted with me? Or disgusted with yourself?" After all, even tigers don't eat their cubs...
Li Wei changed the subject, "Your instructions... were pretty good, keep up the good work."
"Keep trying?" Anya gritted her teeth and said fiercely, "You want a next time? You never even think about doing this for me." She bared her teeth and claws, trying to pounce on Li Wei on the bed, but ended up sitting on Li Wei's face instead.
"I don't mind," Li Wei's muffled voice came from beneath her, "but don't beg for mercy again later." Anya blushed and didn't speak, her plump, white thighs clamping Li Wei's head together, her buttocks wiggling.
45 minute later.
Anya wrapped herself in the blanket, somewhat doubting her own existence.
She patted Li Wei's thigh weakly and made a soft "hmm" sound.
Li Wei, understanding her intention, brought over a bottle of energy drink and opened it for her. "How's it going?" he said with a smile. "Did you take it?" Anya nodded somewhat absentmindedly.
It was a completely new experience for her, and the unprecedented series of peaks made her feel like she was going to dehydrate.
Recalling how Li Wei's large hands had lifted her up by her bottom and then launched into a whirlwind of attacks, she wanted nothing more than to cover her face with the blanket. She really... had said all sorts of nonsense.
She couldn't help but think of the women she had chatted with in Russia, listening to them complain about how inadequate their men were, how their pregnancies preceded their performance, and how they had to take medication or have surgery to barely satisfy their desires. Compared to Li Wei, she couldn't help but chuckle.
"What are you grinning about?" Li Wei touched her sweaty forehead, a few strands of hair stuck to it. "Still not quite there yet?" Anya suddenly felt a strong urge, so she grabbed Li Wei's arm and bit it hard, then contentedly hugged his arm and fell into a deep sleep. The next day, Anya woke up feeling sore all over. Especially her groin, which felt like the day after a dance class when she was forced to open her hips. She simply took a day off to rest at home, while Li Wei, like a model worker, drove to pick up Elizabeth.
Compared to the co-educational and large Horaceman School, Elizabeth's school, Briarley School, was a typical Upper East Side private girls' school. With only about 50 students per grade, its basic tuition of $7 a year and extracurricular activities so expensive that any one of them could drain a middle-class family of three's annual income made it a school that only the extremely wealthy could afford.
The Brillley Girls' Prom wasn't held on school grounds, but rather on the rooftop terrace of the Athena Plaza Hotel, a castle-like structure located south of Central Park. Compared to the Horaceman School's Prom, the Brillley Girls' Prom was considerably more reserved.
Inside the hall, everything was conducted with impeccable decorum as the sole standard. Everyone here was like a miniature Elizabeth Mellon, except that they were far less beautiful than her. All the young people wore standard smiles and dressed in well-tailored clothes without logos.
Li Wei spotted Elizabeth in a gap in the crowd. She was wearing a well-tailored green satin dress without any logo, listening intently to a man in a tuxedo engaging in a lengthy discussion. Just as the man turned to get a drink, Elizabeth quickly turned away, covered her lips with the back of her hand, and trembled slightly—she had let out a deep yawn. As she lowered her hand, before she could even wipe away the tears that had welled in her eyes from the yawn, she met Li Wei's gaze. Two blushes quickly rose on Elizabeth's pale cheeks.
"You're here," she said, smoothing her hair as she walked over. "How are you feeling?"
"The scenery is nice," Levi shrugged, casually taking a glass of sparkling water from a passing waiter's tray and handing it to her. "But it feels a bit boring. Didn't you get enough rest yesterday?" "Thank you..." Elizabeth took the water and sipped it, not wanting to ruin her delicate lipstick makeup. "Because my art gallery has a new theme next month, the gallery is adjusting the layout and needs to readjust the temperature and humidity system. I was watching the workers work until 4 a.m. last night."
Li Wei nodded and extended his hand. "Would you like to dance?"
Elizabeth smiled and placed her hand on Levi's palm. The two glided to the edge of the dance floor, moving slowly to the soothing rhythm of Wall Street. Levi noticed that Elizabeth seemed to know most of the people there.
"More or less," Elizabeth said somewhat vaguely. "If you really want to count, many of us can actually be related in some way. For example, my mother's last name is Vanderbilt, and that person over there could be considered my cousin."
Following her gaze, Li Wei saw a young white man in a white suit, his hair meticulously combed, holding a wine glass and chatting amiably with a school board member. Li Wei caught a fleeting glimpse of mockery and contempt in Elizabeth's eyes.
"You two seem to have a rather distant relationship?" He noticed that every time he took a step closer to the so-called cousin, Elizabeth would subconsciously slide a step to the side. "He's a direct descendant of Vanderbilt, his name is Anderson Cooper Vanderbilt," Elizabeth whispered, "the most restless one in Vanderbilt. He disappeared for three whole months recently, claiming he went to Europe to study."
She chuckled softly, a hint of mockery in her voice. "But actually, he suffered cardiac arrest due to a cocaine overdose and was forcibly sent by his family to a farm in Connecticut to recuperate." Levi looked at Anderson Cooper, whose skin was smooth and firm, whose eyes were clear, and whose hand muscles were remarkably stable, showing no signs of nervous tremors. He simply couldn't reconcile him with a drug addict. "He doesn't look like someone who's been on withdrawal treatment for three months," he recalled Kevin's earlier words. "He seems more cheerful and healthy than most of the students here." "Of course," Elizabeth said. "The farm has a dedicated medical team that gave him full-body dialysis, and even his teeth have been completely repaired with nano-enamel." Levi couldn't help but glance at Elizabeth, who was dancing in his arms. "How do you know so much?"
“Guess how I found out he was sent to Connecticut?” Elizabeth glanced at Anderson Cooper. “He told us this at a family gathering, all bragging about it.” After a few dances, Elizabeth suddenly gave an apologetic smile.
"Sorry," she suddenly released Li Wei's hand, "I have some things to take care of."
Li Wei went to the central dining table and grabbed some food, when suddenly a task list popped up in his eyes:
[Quest: Princess and Knight Completed]
No one is trying to challenge your position as knight. Well done. The princess is generally satisfied with you.
[Task Reward: +0.1 Free Attribute Points]
Li Wei decisively added this freedom attribute point to his spirit.
[Spirit 2.7] - [Spirit 2.8]
You only need 0.2 attribute points to advance!
Li Wei breathed a sigh of relief, looked up to search for Elizabeth, and prepared to ask her if she had anything else to do later.
However, after searching around, he could not find Elizabeth anywhere.
"Strange..." Li Wei muttered, "Where did he go?"
In the shadows of a corner, far from the crowd, Elizabeth Mellon hid behind a massive Roman column, her usual poise completely gone. She stood with great difficulty on one leg, leaning against the cold pillar. Her expensive, custom-made high heels had been kicked aside. She was trying to apply a flesh-colored bandage to her heel, which was chafed raw and bleeding, the bright red blood staining the translucent stockings—a gruesome sight. "Ouch~ Hiss~"
Because her finger accidentally touched the wound, she couldn't help but gasp, tears welling up in her eyes from the pain.
She walked around in high heels all night, then stared at the art museum until 4 a.m., and then got up again at 7 a.m. to do her makeup and stood for another four hours. Her feet had long since lost all feeling, and she only realized they were bleeding again when she felt a slight slippery surface. "Sigh."
She sighed, without a complaint, and expertly pulled out another band-aid, intending to stick it on her crushed little toe. Suddenly, a shadow loomed over her. Thinking it was someone, she looked up in alarm, only to meet Li Wei's gaze. At that moment, she felt incredibly ugly; if she weren't in so much pain that she couldn't walk, she swore she would have jumped straight off the rooftop. Li Wei looked at the disheveled girl before him, grimacing in pain, barefoot, her feet covered in blood and band-aids.
He suddenly turned and left, his steps hurried, disappearing at the entrance of the open space.
Elizabeth stood frozen in place, the band-aid in her hand falling to the ground.
A wave of overwhelming disappointment washed over her. Did he think I was disgusting? Or that I was a nuisance? Of course, who would like a clumsy person who blisters their feet just walking? Anya certainly wouldn't. The next few minutes felt like centuries to her.
The wind was a bit cold, blowing on her bare feet and causing a sharp pain.
She wanted to leave, but as soon as her feet were put into her high heels, she was in so much pain that she broke out in a cold sweat.
Just as she was about to grit her teeth and force herself to walk back, heavy footsteps sounded again.
Li Wei is back.
He was holding a white Nike shoebox in his hand.
"I was pretty lucky, I didn't spend any money," Li Wei said with a smile. "The clerk recognized me as a Nike ambassador and gave me a pair of shoes for free, along with a pair of socks."
