The Van Rock Resort was eerily quiet at night, except for the occasional sound of wind sweeping through the canyon and the hidden speakers that tirelessly emitted low-frequency sound waves.

Li Wei was immune to these boring sound waves; he moved like a giant black panther across the completely vertical red sandstone facade.

He moved swiftly across the wall, avoiding all the cameras and patrolling security guards.

He mentally retraced the route Anya had described during the day and quickly returned to the long corridor that connected to the yoga terrace that morning.

He hung upside down like a bat in the shadows outside the corridor, observing the activity inside through the ventilation openings.

Two tall male security guards stood at the end of the corridor.

"Now is not the time to alert the enemy," Li Wei thought silently.

【sneak】

[0:59......0:58......]

He clung to the wall, slipping past the two security guards with an incredibly smooth motion.

One of the security guards seemed to sense an unusual movement in the air. He turned around in confusion, but found nothing but an empty corridor. He could only shake his head and continue staring ahead.

Walking through the corridor, Li Wei continued to move forward upside down from the ceiling, following the stairs leading to the ground, and soon arrived at a door at the end of the underground passage.

Although the door was tightly closed, Li Wei's keen hearing had already caught the movement behind it. A faint, suppressed cry, as if something had covered its mouth, squeezed out from the crack in the door. It was intermittent, yet it made people feel a sense of physical discomfort.

Interspersed among these were the soft sobs and soothing sounds of a woman, as well as the beeping sound of something resembling medical equipment.

Li Wei tried to push open the door, but he quickly discovered the combination lock next to it.

He checked the time; it was 2 a.m. Anya could wake up at any moment. If he continued to linger here, he would be completely ruined if he were discovered.

He thought to himself, "I can't get in, at least not yet."

Li Wei wandered around for more than half an hour. When he walked back to the balcony of his room from the outside wall, covered in the chill of the night, Anya was still sleeping soundly.

Li Wei took off his clothes, took a shower in the bathroom, and then gently lay back down on the bed.

The next morning, sunlight streamed through the huge floor-to-ceiling windows onto the red rock floor.

After Anya woke up, the more she thought about what happened yesterday, the more something seemed off.

“Sarah seems a bit strange,” she said. “Everyone here is crazy…don’t you think this place is a bit like a cult?”

As Li Wei dressed, he asked, "What are you planning to do? Call Katya?"

"No," Anya thought for a moment, "that's a bit too absurd. What if I'm just overthinking it?"

But I'm still a little worried.

"Why don't you spend some time with Sarah today to help her relax? After all, she might be pregnant and her emotions might be a bit unstable," Levi suggested. "If you're worried about problems here, bring your gun and satellite phone, just in case."

"I'm sorry, darling," Anya said a little embarrassedly, "Am I being a little paranoid? This was supposed to be our graduation trip..."

"6

"It's alright," Li Wei said gently. "I understand your concerns. After all, we've known each other for a while, and you have a child that's about to be born."

"Of course I'll stay," Li Wei silently added to himself.

The system panel displays the message: "[Advancement to Knight - Silver Body (Transcendent): A ticket to the Royal Knight Academy]".

The rewards are still shining brightly.

Even if Anya wanted to leave, he would send her away and then return to destroy this so-called "Chaos Nest".

They took it.

But in Anya's eyes, it was a completely different story.

Looking at the tall, determined young man in front of her, a strong sense of warmth welled up in her heart.

He clearly had a bright future in the NFL and was about to receive a large sum of money, but he was willing to stay here and fool around with her for her momentary whims and sympathy.

"Thank you," Anya said, leaning forward and giving him a deep kiss on the lips. "You always support me unconditionally."

"Let's go," Li Wei accepted Anya's praise without hesitation, and discreetly slipped the [Ring of Good Fortune] onto Anya's finger, bestowing upon her some good luck in crucial moments. "Want to grab something to eat?"

"No," Anya said, "I want to eat you first."

Pushing open the heavy, soundproof glass door to the balcony, the dry, hot morning breeze characteristic of the high-altitude desert rushed in instantly, completely dispelling the faint, eerie fragrance from last night.

Outside lies a deep, dizzying canyon. The crimson cliffs, bathed in the rising sun, seem to exude a tranquil stillness solidified over millennia.

Each suite has a completely private balcony, offering unobstructed views of the vast wilderness, making you feel as if you are on the surface of Mars.

Anya, barefoot on the sun-warmed red rock slab, like a lazy yet devout cat, slowly knelt down in front of Li Xiuchang, following his strong legs.

There were no extra words, only the faint rustling sound of fabric rubbing together.

Li Wei leaned against the railing at the edge of the balcony, the abyss behind him contrasting with the extreme tenderness before him creating a tension that was both absurd and breathtaking. He lowered his head slightly, watching Anya's glossy black hair sway in the morning light.

The moist warmth enveloped him completely in the next second.

Li Wei closed his eyes.

The extraordinary perception brought by the [Knight - Silver Body] was amplified infinitely at this moment.

The whistling of the wind brushing against the rocks, her slightly hurried, warm breaths, the extremely subtle swallowing sounds deep in her throat, and even the hollow echoes from the abyss below, all intertwined to form an impenetrable net.

Li Wei's breath hitched, and his long, strong fingers involuntarily dug deep into his black hair. A low, hoarse gasp was swept away by the morning breeze and completely dissipated into the vast, boundless depths of the red rocks.

After a long while, the wind seemed to quiet down again.

Anya slowly raised her head and reached out to wipe the corner of her lips.

"Gulp..."

""

This time, instead of kissing him, she opened her mouth wide, showing Li Wei her oral cavity.

Meanwhile, in the monitoring room, the front desk manager once again sat down with the man in a short-sleeved shirt to discuss Anya and Li Wei's situation.

"They seem completely unaffected," the man said. "That shouldn't be the case; the other couple is progressing very well."

"Where's Li Wei's car?" the receptionist asked. "Can you pry it open?"

"Absolutely not, brother," the man shook his head. "Fuck! They're driving bulletproof cars, the doors, chassis, roof, windows—everything's been modified. What's wrong with these guys? Are they paranoid?"

Perhaps Utah's reputation is indeed not very good... the front desk manager thought.

"Don't worry about that," he waved his hand. "How's the road in front of town coming along?"

"It's almost finished," the man said. "It should be open to traffic this afternoon."

"Great! I'll have Mark extend his stay for a few more days," the front desk manager snapped his fingers. "Then I'll tell Levi that the road is open and they can leave today."

"I'm not leaving," Li Wei shook his head, enjoying the resort's breakfast. "I haven't had enough of staying yet."

"Exactly," Anya said while drinking her milk, "I paid for five nights' worth of accommodation, and they're kicking us out on the third day?"

The front desk manager suddenly felt a bit of a headache.

If something were to happen to these two people, the American sports world and Russia would be in an uproar. But when it comes to drugging them, they seem completely unaffected.

"Then please go ahead," the front desk manager said, forcing a smile. "Our resort also has some other outdoor activities that guests can try out. Also, if you feel tired from the journey, we will arrange a car to take you to Aman."

"No need," Anya said, taking Li Wei's hand. "We're quite comfortable here and plan to stay for the full term before leaving."

"Thank you very much for your recognition of Fanyan Resort," said the front desk manager, veins popping out on his forehead. "I won't disturb your meal any longer."

After brunch, Anya hurriedly arranged to meet Sarah to try out various outdoor activities, while Mark went to participate in his $1999 package tour.

Li Wei was strolling around the resort when he suddenly noticed something interesting: the resort's staff and security guards seemed to have disappeared, with only a handful of people maintaining the resort's basic operations.

"Morning is our time to pray and listen to the will of God, sir," an elderly waiter said politely. "Come back in 30 minutes."

Li Wei noticed that her gaze involuntarily drifted in one direction, and he felt that this might be an opportunity.

He went back to his room to change his clothes and pulled out a black Venom Spider-Man suit that he had worn when he and Anya were cosplaying together.

He pushed open the balcony door and leaped into the air. Just as gravity was about to pull him into the abyss, he activated [Wall Walking].

Li Wei's body defied the laws of physics, bending at an extremely bizarre angle in mid-air, like a real black spider, and firmly stuck to the vertical red sandstone wall.

Operating in broad daylight is far more risky than at night, but relying on the extraordinary vision and hearing granted by the [Knight Silver Body], Li Wei flashed and leaped across the building facade at an incredible speed the instant those hidden surveillance cameras turned into blind spots.

After walking along the winding canyon for about 5 or 6 minutes, Li Wei discovered an area that was clearly not open to the public.

The architectural style here is still that of rammed earth and micro-cement hidden in nature, but the overall structure presents a dome design similar to the Pantheon in ancient Rome, which appears very solemn and oppressive.

This is the direction the waiter was looking. Li Wei, like a dark shadow, strolled along the smooth wall to the bottom of the dome.

There was a row of huge stained-glass windows, and through a small window you could see inside, from which came an extremely old baritone voice.

Li Wei hung upside down above the window, slightly shifting the stained glass through a crack, and squinted to look inside.

This is a huge atrium, resembling a small chapel. Sunlight pours down through the skylights in the dome, forming a pillar of light that illuminates the high platform at the very center.

Unlike the cult leader with a fierce face or a crazy expression that Levi had imagined, Warren was an old man who looked to be about seventy years old.

He was extremely thin, wearing a large, almost robe-like striped suit. His hair was snow-white and meticulously combed, and he wore a gentle, warm smile that was as comforting as a spring breeze.

Li Wei's gaze swept down from the platform, where he saw hundreds of people standing densely packed on the red rock ground below. Almost all of them were women, and he recognized the faces of most of them; they were the resort's waitresses, receptionists, and the like.

Behind them were dozens of men of varying ages and dressed in different ways.

"My children, my brothers, my wives." Warren's voice echoed in the hall, not loud, but clearly reaching everyone's ears.

"The secular world is decaying. The numbers on Wall Street, the lies of politicians, the hypocrisy of equality and freedom—all are pushing humanity toward the abyss of destruction." Warren slowly paced in the pillar of light, spreading his thin arms. "God's patience has run out. I have heard the revelation."

"Soon, the Lord will unleash the fire of purification! The earth will crack, the seas will boil, and New York, Los Angeles, London—those cities filled with sin and original sin—will all be reduced to ashes in the flames of karma!"

The audience was quiet; everyone was listening to his speech.

"But do not be afraid, my family." Warren's voice softened again. He pointed to the red rocks beneath his feet, "When Judgment Day comes, only we, only this land that carries sacred blood, will rise from the earth and ascend into the sky, becoming a new Eden!"

"But before that, the Lord revealed to me," he said, "you must overcome all difficulties and cleanse yourselves of original sin so that you can go to Eden on Judgment Day."

After he spoke for a while, his wives lined up in a long row below the stage and took turns kissing him on the cheek according to their age, as a sign of their loyalty.

Livy stood at the highest point, quietly watching all of this, and deeply memorized the face of the prophet Warren.

When he returned to his room and met Mark again at noon, he discovered that Mark's watch was missing.

"Mr. Mark," Levi sat down at the restaurant table, picked up a glass of ice water, and asked casually, "where's your watch? I remember you were wearing a Vacheron Constantin yesterday."

If he remembers correctly, it was a perpetual calendar from the "Across the World" series, with a market value of at least seventy or eighty thousand US dollars.

For someone like Mark, who has worked his way up in the upper echelons of Wall Street investment banking, a watch of this caliber is a symbol of his status and social standing, and he would never be without it under normal circumstances.

"Oh, that one." Mark put down his fork and shrugged casually. "I gave it to my tutor."

"Oh," Levi said, "that watch must be expensive."

“Yes, it means a lot to me,” Mark said. “I remember buying it with my first year’s bonus when I first started out. I was a junior analyst at JPMorgan Chase, and the senior employee who mentored me was the youngest executive director in the firm.”

"I was wearing an Omega mechanical watch at the time, and he came up to me and said, 'Kid, a watch is a man's status symbol. Go buy a good watch after you get your year-end bonus this year.'" As he spoke, a smile appeared on his face. "I replied, 'Mr. Don Quixote Cervantes, I've only just started working. Where would I get the money to buy a really good watch?'"

“You’ll have enough money to buy it by the end of the year,” he told me, Mark said. “So when I was at the end of the year, I was surprised to find that I had the highest performance rating of the year—you know, very few new employees could get the highest performance rating back then. I thought he must have approved it for me on purpose, so I spent $8 to buy that watch.”

"But I gave it to my mentor," he shrugged. "My mentor told me that true freedom is learning to let go of attachments. Only when we are no longer defined by these external things can we hear God's revelation."

"You know Don Quixote?" Levi raised an eyebrow. "You mean the Don Quixote Cervantes from JPMorgan Chase?"
