US police: outlaws

Chapter 29: Temporarily Joining the Task Force

Upon seeing that the person was a policeman, the bald, burly man immediately turned and ran away without hesitation; he knew exactly what to do.

Only if you are seen by the police or captured on a body camera can you avoid being arrested. The other members are different; they can take advantage of the chaos to lead people away and then move to a new hideout.

Lee Ethan did not fire his gun, but instead gave chase.

"Stop, or I'll shoot."

Sophie watched as the burly man and the police ran away, and just as she was about to escape again, she was pinned down by a woman.

"You damn bitch, you're the one who brought the police here."

The middle-aged madam slapped the woman's face repeatedly, as if venting all her anger.

Next, she and her companions had to take the goods away before police reinforcements arrived.

But before they could leave, another pistol was pointed at them.

"Don't move."

Several gang members were genuinely flustered when a plainclothes policewoman with white hair suddenly appeared and blocked their way.

Damn it, where did all these police come from in the suburbs?

.

The burly man in the chase was tackled to the ground by Ethan Lee, and the two wrestled together. In the middle of the fight, a Glock 17 was thrown from their bodies, and their eyes turned to the pistol.

"You actually brought a handgun."

The burly man, unable to disregard why the policeman was talking nonsense, seized the opportunity to kick the policeman aside, then picked up his pistol and pointed it at him.

Killing a police officer is fine, becoming a wanted criminal isn't out of the question either.

"Bang"

The bullet pierced the strong man's head; it was Lee Ethan who shot him in the head.

Lee Ethan went over to check the body's pulse, and only after confirming that there was no risk of revival did he pick up his pistol and pretend to examine it.

"I am Officer 49527. I shot and killed an armed criminal at No. 12, XXXX Road. There were bullets in the magazine. The entire incident was recorded by body camera."

Lee Esen threw the body away and rushed back, patting the footprints on his chest.

In fact, he orchestrated all of this, deliberately letting the other person pick up his system pistol when it was empty. Then, when the other person got his hands on it, he replaced the magazine with one that was already loaded. He had all the evidence and witnesses to prove it.

After a series of actions, he found that the system space was a great way to frame someone, because the scene just now would only make people suspect that the gun fell out of the other party's body.

.

Meanwhile, during the standoff at the door, everyone was startled by the gunshots, and the party-goers who were having a blast scattered and fled, while the gangsters knew they were in trouble.

Whether it's their own people firing or the police firing, they have no way out.

The next second, three gangsters pulled out pistols.

"Bang bang bang bang"

Kaiya killed one person and quickly hid behind cover. Fortunately, they had discussed that the target might fire, so they did not stray far from the cover and were able to calmly retaliate.

Just as the two sides were exchanging fire, a car pulled up, the window rolled down, and Evelyn raised her pistol and fired at the gang members.

The gangsters retaliated in anger, but they were soon dumbfounded to see that the bullets had only left a white mark on the car door glass, which was bulletproof.

The Chevrolet S-10 bulletproof version, with a medium protection level, can protect against rifle bullets and common explosives, and costs a whopping $30.

"Damn it, the armored car. Jack, you guys tell the rest of you to take the cargo and leave. We'll hold them off."

The group fought and retreated, when a bullet from their left caught them off guard.

"Bang bang bang bang bang"

One of the three was hit in the head, one in the chest, and one in the thigh.

Three shots in two seconds broke through the gang members' defenses instantly. The others were utterly horrified. Where did this sharpshooter come from? And without even trying to persuade them to surrender, he just killed them.

They soon found out who it was: Lee Ethan, dressed in a police uniform, wielding two pistols as if they were automatic weapons.

The bullet struck the concrete, sparking as it struck. Ethan stopped and watched the remaining three flee back to the villa. Despite the encouragement of some of the hyped-up men, he remained unmoved and refused to give chase.

"Officer, hurry up and go inside! The criminal has escaped into the villa!"

"Hurry up and go in, I want to see more headshots, that's amazing!"

"Hahaha."

Li Yisen ignored the group of men drinking. After all, this was private territory and adhered to the principle of fortresses. Moreover, there were quite a few wealthy people inside. If they went in and broke something, they would definitely get into trouble. He was also afraid that these people would complain about him.

Therefore, Lee Ethan decided not to go in, as the police have the right not to pursue the criminal under the law, in order to avoid escalating the conflict further.

Next, he took out a megaphone from the trunk of the car and shouted at many people in bewilderment.

"Listen up, you three suspects, you are surrounded. If you are not armed, come out quietly and the law may not do anything to you. But if you dare to harm the people inside, it will not be a minor offense."

They were indeed surrounded. The three of them were surrounding a villa. Ethan was at the front door, Kaia had gone to the back door, and Evelyn was on the left.

Within two minutes, police cars arrived one after another to provide support. Although most of them were patrol officers, there were also elite officers such as the criminal investigation team.

In the end, more than fifty police officers surrounded the entire villa, but fortunately there were no gunshots inside, and the police were not in a hurry to break in.

Criminal Investigation Team Leader Jaden Garcia confronted Kaia Anderson with a barrage of questions.

"Kaiya, although there has been some progress in the human trafficking case, you acted on your own. What do you take the police force for? Do you think you can just be a personal hero and run wild? You didn't even report it."

The policewoman didn't react much to her superior's veiled criticism.

"Team leader, I just happened to be passing by. Nobody expected the target to appear in front of me. I had no intention of playing a hero. The police force is a team."

"..."

Jaden was speechless. Normally, if a new detective dared to say something like that, he would definitely teach the other person how to respect their superior. Unfortunately, the woman in front of him was of a high status.

Just then, three gang members who had taken refuge in the villa were dragged out by a group of party participants because the gang had indeed attempted to use violence to abduct the trafficked women.

If it were before the police arrived, they would have just let it go and watched as a show. But there were police everywhere, and even media around. For the sake of their reputation, they couldn't just stand by and do nothing.

This encounter, as perceived by the world, has officially come to an end, but the next chapter is about to begin.

The entire villa was completely surrounded by a lockdown order, but Li Yisen greeted his superiors with a straight face.

"Good morning, sir."

Superintendent Andrew Bailey of Patrol Unit Three rubbed his temples.

"Three dead and one wounded, Ethan, couldn't you have shown some mercy?"

"I don't quite understand what you mean. The suspect shot me, so of course I shot him to ensure my own safety."

"..."

While the two were staring at each other, the belated Director Jason Garcia brought the pointless conversation to a close.

"Ethan, you did a great job. You not only killed and arrested several criminals in the act, but also rescued more than 20 trafficked women."

"It's just a coincidence."

Jason Garcia's eyes, which seemed to have weathered many storms, were smiling.

"Really? I heard you and Kaiya are good friends. It's such a coincidence that you two met in the suburbs."

"That's quite a coincidence."

Whether the old policeman discovered it or not, he was unlikely to admit it.

The director clearly didn't want to talk much, so he simply called over Jaden Garcia.

"Inspector Jaden, come here for a moment."

"Yes, brother."

"Use your job title during work hours."

Li Yisen was stunned. Good heavens, so the two were brothers. No wonder their names were so similar.

Jason Garcia has once again made a surprising statement.

"Let Ethan and his team join the rest of the investigation."
