Chinese entertainment starts with idols

Chapter 141 must come out and give an explanation.

The red carpet at the 31st Hong Kong Film Awards was a star-studded affair. Shu Qi wore an olive green sequined gown, while Lau Ching-wan and his wife walked hand-in-hand, displaying their affection. Carina Lau attended with Tony Leung, her deep-V black dress making her look even more dignified and elegant.

Even when Yang Ying appeared on the red carpet as the emcee of the awards ceremony, she chose a blue dress with a jewel-like color, bright red lips, and carefully permed and dyed curly hair, making her overall makeup impeccable.

You can doubt her acting skills, but you can't doubt her looks!

At this moment, Lin Feng also appeared on stage with Deng Shuang. Lin Feng was nominated for "Best Actor" for his role in "The Legend of the Banquet at Hongmen", while Deng Shuang was nominated for "Best Newcomer" for her outstanding performance in the movie "Painted Skin". This was Deng Shuang's first time on the big screen, and she perfectly portrayed the charming, rebellious yet pure and lovely feeling of "Fairy Peony" in "Painted Skin", leaving a deep impression on the audience.

Deng Shuang looked absolutely stunning on the red carpet today. She appeared in a white and dark blue short dress, looking incredibly sweet and adorable. She opted for a simple ponytail hairstyle and paired it with carefully chosen patterned stockings and two pairs of cute little wings on her calves. These details added a touch of playfulness to Deng Shuang's innocence. This pure and sweet look created a refreshing "fresh and clean" vibe on the Hong Kong Film Awards red carpet, contrasting sharply with the extravagant and glamorous evening gowns worn by many female celebrities.

Even Lin Feng couldn't help but praise, "Xiao Shuang, you look really beautiful today. You're much better than those glamorous female celebrities who only know how to flaunt their beauty. Look, you attracted the attention of the media and audience as soon as you appeared. So many media reporters are taking pictures of you!"

'

"Lam Fung, are they filming me or you? Listen to the fans' voices again, are they calling my name or yours? And look at that banner over there, it says 'Lam Fung Hong Kong Fan Club'."

"Oh! Really? There's a celebrity in Hong Kong named Lam Fung!"

"It says Lin Feng on this, not Lin Feng, and there's even a poster of yours over there! We were a bit far from the audience area earlier, so listen to the fans' voices now."

Just now, Lin Feng could only vaguely hear his own name, but now he could hear it clearly. He could also see many fans holding up his posters and shouting his name loudly, "Lin Feng!" "Lin Feng! I love you!" "Lin Feng! Look here!"

Lin Feng casually waved to the fans, which caused another round of cheers. He didn't expect to be so popular in Hong Kong, because his previous films and TV series had only achieved mediocre results in Hong Kong. For example, "Love is Not Blind," which was a huge hit in mainland China, didn't make a splash in Hong Kong.

Seeing the fans' enthusiasm, Lin Feng went over to shake their hands and sign a few autographs, saying, "Thank you!" "Thank you for your support!" "I love you all too!"

It seems that Raymond Lam is indeed more popular than Deng Shuang in Hong Kong. Even in the interview area, the host interviewed Lam more often, asking, "Raymond Lam, you won Best Actor at the Hong Kong Film Awards on your first try. What are your thoughts?"

"I'm so excited! I grew up watching Hong Kong movies, so the Hong Kong Film Awards have a special feel for me. Before, I watched it on TV, but now I can walk the red carpet. It's an honor and I'm so excited!"

Do you think you have a chance to win Best Actor?

"I'm just participating for the sake of it. Being nominated is already a recognition of my abilities! I'm still young and need to learn a lot from all the senior figures and experts around me."

"So, who do you think has the best chance of winning Best Actor?"

"What kind of question is this? Does it mean I'm out of the running?" Lin Feng said with a smile, "Everyone is excellent, but I personally think Liu Dehua is the best; he deserves this award!"

During the interview, Lin Feng spoke with great emotion, but he wasn't excited at all. He even felt a little sorry for the Hong Kong Film Awards. It was clearly the most likely to become the leader of the "Three Golden Awards" and even the most influential award in Chinese-language cinema. But it insisted on sticking to the small place of Hong Kong and missed so many opportunities, especially during the times when Hong Kong returned to China and the Golden Horse Awards made a fatal mistake. Even Derek Yee stubbornly said, "If we open up, people will laugh at us." I guess we won't even be nominated for Hong Kong films anymore. That would be truly laughable!

However, the Hong Kong Film Awards still have real prestige now, otherwise Lin Feng wouldn't be working so hard behind the scenes to help Deng Shuang win the "Best Newcomer" award.

Although many stars attended the Hong Kong Film Awards and the red carpet was spectacular, there were few memorable and happy moments throughout the entire ceremony. Whether it was the presenters, the emcees, or the various awkward silences during the award presentations, the entire Hong Kong Film Awards felt like a makeshift performance by a group of big names. Although everyone was present, there was no sense of putting on a show. Coupled with the lack of surprises in the awards, it was difficult for the audience to share much excitement during the award presentations.

After a few minor technical awards, it was time for the "Best New Performer" award. The presenter was Jim Chim, a well-known Hong Kong comedian and stage actor. Lin Feng didn't recognize him and had never met him before. However, Jim Chim was very eloquent, commenting on each nominee's performance in a humorous and creative way:

The review of Deng Shuang: "Deng Shuang's portrayal of the fairy Peony in 'Painted Skin' is like a fairy stepping out of a painting, pure and lively. Her performance shows us the potential and possibilities of a new actress; her future is promising!"

The review of Jam Hsiao: "Jam Hsiao's performance in 'Killer Ouyang Bonsai' is like a refreshing breeze blowing into our hearts. His acting is natural and sincere, allowing people to feel the charm and power of a new actor."

The review of Shiga Lin: "Shiga Lin's performance in 'Lan Kwai Fong' is like a colorful cocktail in the movie, unforgettable at first glance. As a new actress, her energy and courage deserve our praise!"

While Zhan Ruiwen was giving his comments, Lin Feng could clearly sense Deng Shuang's nervousness; her palms were sweating. Lin Feng comforted her, saying, "Xiao Shuang, believe in me, and believe in yourself. You have acting skills; this Best New Actor award will definitely be yours!"

As soon as Lin Feng finished speaking, Zhan Ruiwen on stage announced, "The winner of the 31st Hong Kong Film Awards Best New Performer Award is... Deng Shuang!"

Even Jam Hsiao, who was initially a little disappointed, quickly adjusted his mood and gave a round of applause; then Shiga Lin, Karena Ng, and the other nominees, Sheng Jian, also gave a round of applause.

Deng Shuang was a little excited. She couldn't believe it at first, covering her mouth in disbelief. It wasn't until everyone around her applauded, especially Lin Feng who smiled and encouraged her, "Xiao Shuang! See! I told you, this Best New Actor award would definitely be yours! Congratulations! My Best Newcomer! Are you ready to give your speech?"

Only then did Deng Shuang dare to believe it. She was so excited she almost cried. She stood up and gave Lin Feng a big hug, patting his shoulder forcefully, and said, somewhat incoherently, "Thank you! I love you, Lin Feng!"

Then Deng Shuang shook hands and hugged those around her, and made a special hug for Chen Jiashang, the director of "Painted Skin," saying, "Director, thank you! Thank you for choosing me!"

When Deng Shuang took the stage, she was no longer as excited, but she still said excitedly, "I am very grateful to the Hong Kong Film Awards for this nomination and recognition. This is my first time acting in a film, and I feel very honored and excited to receive such an honor."

I want to thank director Chen Jiashang and all the crew members of "Painted Skin" for their hard work. It is your guidance and help that enabled me to better interpret the role. This award does not belong to me alone, but to the entire crew.

At the same time, I would also like to thank my family and fans for their support. It is your encouragement that gives me the courage to face challenges and difficulties. In the future, I will continue to work hard to bring more and better works to the audience.

Finally, I would like to thank the person who has always been by my side, supporting and accompanying me. They have helped me become a better version of myself and found my direction in life. I hope that next time I stand here, I will be winning Best Actress! Thank you!

Deng Shuang spoke very well, but she said a bit too much, much of it coming from the bottom of her heart, especially her final acceptance speech, which seemed to reveal her relationship with Deng Shuang. However, at this moment, Lin Feng didn't think too much about it and just applauded Deng Shuang. Although Deng Shuang was able to win the award because of Lin Feng's behind-the-scenes manipulation, it was also because Deng Shuang had the ability. If she were really much worse, Lin Feng wouldn't have been able to manipulate things to succeed.

With his biggest task at the Hong Kong Film Awards accomplished, Lin Feng didn't think much more about it. In particular, since "The Legend of the Banquet at Hongmen" didn't win any of the four technical awards—"Best Art Direction," "Best Costume Design," "Best Original Film Score," and "Best Sound Effects"—he had even less to think about.

However, when the "Best Actor" award was presented, Lin Feng was still a little excited. After all, he was also a nominee, especially when the cameras were pointed directly at him. He couldn't help but get excited. What if something unexpected happened? He would be set for life!

However, as it turned out, Lin Feng had indeed considered this possibility, especially since Sandra Ng was presenting the Best Actor award alongside Carina Lau.

As soon as Sandra Ng stepped onto the stage, she displayed her "admiration" for Andy Lau, passionately declaring, "I love Andy Lau the most, everyone knows that, the entire industry knows that!"

Then, she changed the subject and began to tease Andy Lau about having a child late in life: "He's really handsome and capable; he got his wife pregnant at 51!"

This remark instantly ignited the entire audience, with viewers and guests bursting into laughter. Liu Dehua gave an awkward smile, while Carina Lau, standing beside him, failed to control her expression and looked utterly surprised.

Sandra Ng's teasing didn't stop there; she continued to criticize her husband, Peter Chan: "He's heartless and weak, and his hair is all white. Look at Andy Lau, he's so stylish!"

This remark froze Peter Chan's smile on his face, while Lau Tak-wah frowned in the face of Sandra Ng's repeated teasing, unsure how to respond. However, he quickly adjusted his demeanor and defused the awkwardness with humor.

Lin Feng watched the spectacle from the sidelines, finding it amusing. He thought, "No wonder they've lived in the capitalist world; they dare to say anything."

However, Lin Feng quickly stopped laughing because Sandra Ng teased him again, saying, "Although I really like Andy Lau, I think I like Lin Feng even more now! Because he's so handsome!"

He's like a young Andy Lau! No! He's even more handsome than a young Andy Lau! What should I do?! Who should I like?! Hmm, I want them both! I like them both!

Lin Feng was a little embarrassed this time, but Carina Lau couldn't stand it anymore and presented the award directly. And the "Best Actor" award was indeed given to Andy Lau.

Lin Feng breathed a sigh of relief. It was normal not to win, after all, Liu Dehua deserved the title and he would have more opportunities when he was younger. Deng Shuang, who was next to him, patted his hand in comfort.

In his acceptance speech, Lau Tak-wah thanked the judges, the director, and Deanie Ip, among others. He also responded lightly to Sandra Ng's teasing, saying, "This award belongs to Sister Peach (Deanie Ip). While filming this movie, I often wondered if, when I get old, someone would treat me the way Roger (Lau Tak-wah's character in the film) treated Sister Peach?"

Thank you to director Ann Hui; she taught me that true acting doesn't need exaggeration, sincerity is the best technique. I also thank my family for their unwavering support in making films that "don't make money."

Just like in the previous film, the biggest winner of this year's Hong Kong Film Awards was "A Simple Life," which swept five awards, including Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, and Best Screenplay, becoming the absolute focus of the night.

The only change is the "Best New Actor Award," which went from Jam Hsiao in "Killer Ouyang Bonsai" to Deng Shuang in "Painted Skin."

After a brief period of excitement, Deng Shuang has completely calmed down. Compared to the "Best New Actress Award," she cares more about being the female lead in "Better Days." "Lin Feng, I'm more confident now. I'm one step closer to meeting your requirements for the female lead in your film!"

What could Lin Feng say at this moment? This little girl still missed him, so all he could do was cherish her.

Lin Feng and Deng Shuang had a wild celebration in Hong Kong all night. Deng Shuang was unusually enthusiastic this time, giving Lin Feng a truly royal experience.

Just as Lin Feng and Deng Shuang were going crazy, a media storm about their relationship had quietly begun to brew.

Although many media reporters gave extensive coverage to this awards ceremony, the most discussed topic in mainland China was still the relationship between Lin Feng and Deng Shuang.

Who exactly is the "he" that Deng Shuang is referring to?

What exactly is the relationship between Deng Shuang and Lin Feng?

Did Deng Shuang and Lin Feng actually get together?

The key point is that this discussion has generated a lot of buzz, attracting attention not only from fans but also from the media. This public opinion storm is escalating, seemingly demanding that Lin Feng and Deng Shuang come out and give an explanation!
