Chapter 181 Kong Xuan Proves the Dao

Eight hundred years is neither a long nor a short time, but it is enough for the dynasties of the human race to change.

The Western Zhou Dynasty, or rather, the Eastern Zhou Dynasty, which is no longer called the Western Zhou Dynasty, lasted for eight hundred years and was passed down from generation to generation.

Therefore, during his travels through various states, Kong Xuan took in three thousand disciples, among whom were seventy-two wise men. As he traveled slowly, he observed all aspects of life, the rise and fall of dynasties, and the suffering of the common people. His teachings matured more and more.

However, before Kong Xuan could establish his teachings, someone else did it even faster. This person was none other than Lao Tzu, who was currently creating chaos at the edge of the universe... incarnation of him.

Many years later, Lao Tzu has once again severed his good corpse, and the one who established the teachings in the human world in his place is his good corpse incarnation. Because he traveled in the human world, he was given a name, Li Er.

Li Er first founded the Taoist school of thought, and then went a step further, establishing Taoism as a religion before Kong Xuan.

On the day the sect was established, the fortunes of the three realms surged, the Heavenly Dao responded, and bestowed merits. Li Er, or rather Lao Tzu, actually took charge of two major sects on his own, which shocked the three realms and moved countless people.

Kong Xuan, who now travels among humans and also uses the alias Kong Qiu, later known as Confucius, stopped Laozi (Li Er) after he established his teachings and asked him a question.

Kong Xuan continued to travel among the various states in the human world, and with Laozi leading the way, more sages were reincarnated and entered the human world, also trying to seize some of the fortune during this time of national change.

Thus, the rare phenomenon of a hundred schools of thought contending emerged, including not only the Taoism founded by Laozi and the Confucianism founded by Kong Xuan, but also the Legalism founded by Yuanshi Tianzun, the Mohism founded by Zhen Yuanzi, and so on.

Even Tongtian intended to take the opportunity to re-establish a great religion, so he founded the School of Military Strategists. Unfortunately, although it was effective, it was only so far and he could not establish a religion because of it.

After all, having lost the Immortal Slaughtering Sword Formation, they now have nothing to suppress the fortune of the great sect. Although the Tongtian Sect Leader is a saint, he can only sigh helplessly and continue to wait for the right opportunity.

After Laozi established Taoism, Kong Xuan stopped traveling around and instead chose a place to organize his knowledge.

Finally, on this day, Kong Xuan was about to establish his teachings. Five divine lights emanated from behind him.

The five colors of blue, red, yellow, white, and black illuminated the entire primordial world, instantly alarming powerful beings from all sides.

Even the saints couldn't help but look over.

In the Xuanhuang Heaven, Xuanhuang smiled lightly, and several avatars flew out, appearing outside the Great Crimson Heaven, the Pure Subtle Heaven, the Yu Yu Heaven, and the Great Western Heaven.

As for Nuwa Palace and Jiyuan Heaven, there is no need to guard against them; we only need to prevent the other saints from causing trouble.

Kong Xuan's five-colored divine light had long been refined in Nuwa's Qiankun Cauldron. When it was released, not long afterward, the five divine lights suddenly trembled and transformed into five different things.

Two of them are books, one named "The Book of Changes" and the other "Spring and Autumn Annals," representing "wisdom" and "righteousness" respectively, formed from blue and black divine light.

The yellow divine light transformed into a writing brush, representing "benevolence"; the red divine light transformed into a precious sword, representing "courage"; and finally, the white divine light transformed into a ribbon, representing "propriety" and also "trustworthiness".

Kong Xuan briefly summoned the Chaos Bell again, and the six treasures floated together in the air. Instantly, the heavens roared, and the six treasures emitted dazzling five-colored light, illuminating the Three Realms and Six Paths.

At the same time, a magnificent and righteous spirit arises from the hearts of the people, emerging between heaven and earth, vast and surging endlessly.

Kong Xuan established Confucianism, and his immense merit appeared above his head, which in turn attracted a torrent of spiritual energy from heaven and earth.

When the sage Laozi opened up the chaos, the first person to enjoy the fruits of the spiritual energy that was generated was none other than Kong Xuan.

Having absorbed that vast merit and the spiritual energy of heaven and earth surging in from all directions, Kong Xuan finally attained the Dao of Hunyuan and became a Hunyuan Daluo Golden Immortal.

In an instant, though he was not a saint, countless strange phenomena appeared, and a vast expanse of purple aura appeared in the sky.

An immense pressure emanated from Kong Xuan, directly enveloping the Three Realms. Countless beings in the Three Realms knelt on the ground under this pressure.

"Junior Brother has indeed taken on a fine disciple. Now, with two members of the sect at the Hunyuan level, both master and disciple are at Hunyuan. How enviable!"

Lao Tzu, who was at the edge of the universe and had a rare moment of rest, sighed.

However, Kong Xuan soon finished using the Chaos Bell and returned it. Laozi shook his head and could only get back to work.

Meanwhile, in Qingwei Heaven, Yuyu Heaven, Daxi Heaven, Jiyuan Heaven, and Nuwa Palace, the feelings of the various saints were also different.

After Kong Xuan established his teachings and attained enlightenment, he soon returned to Xuanhuang Heaven. He first paid his respects to Xuanhuang, who then removed his avatars from outside the sacred grounds of the saints and said to Kong Xuan, "Now that you have attained enlightenment, you are also a Primordial Being. If you wish, you can also establish another sacred ground outside."

Kong Xuan refused upon hearing this and remained in the Xuanhuang Heaven.

However, in the human world, after Kong Xuan established his teachings and proved the Way, the contention among the Hundred Schools of Thought did not stop. Among them, there was one particularly outstanding figure, because he did not establish a school of thought, but instead inherited Lao Tzu's Taoist doctrines.

This person was Zhuang Zhou, also known as Zhuangzi, but he was no one else, but rather an incarnation of Yun Zhongzi. Zhuangzi studied Laozi's Dao within the Daoist school, but then departed gracefully, composing "Free and Easy Wandering" to express his aspirations.

Time flies, and it passes in the blink of an eye.

The brilliance of the Hundred Schools of Thought was quickly obscured by time. The Spring and Autumn Period, the Warring States Period, and then unification came, with the Qin Emperor ruling the world.

During this period, because Qin Shi Huang had the blood of the witch clan and was fond of witchcraft, it caused another great deal of conflict.

I won't go into detail here.

Not to mention that after the Qin Dynasty unified China, it only lasted for two generations before being replaced by the Han Dynasty. In the meantime, a major event occurred in the vast wilderness.

First, the two Western Saints declared their separation from Xuanmen and changed Western religion to Buddhism, establishing the Buddhist sect and diverting a significant portion of Xuanmen's fortune.

Immediately afterwards, the remaining Golden Immortals under the tutelage of Yuanshi Tianzun all vanished in an instant.

Even the Taoist Ran Deng, who was the deputy leader, also converted to Buddhism.

The Taoist Ran Deng was named the Buddha of the Past among the Three Buddhas of the Three Worlds, holding a position of great honor, second only to Amitabha Buddha, who was transformed by the Taoist Jie Yin, and Cundi Buddha Mother, who was transformed by the Taoist Zhun Ti.

Julusun was also bestowed the title of Julusun Ancient Buddha, while Manjushri Guangfa Tianzun, Samantabhadra Zhenren and Cihang Daoren received slightly worse treatment and were only made into three great bodhisattvas. Among them, Cihang Daoren even made a mistake and was transformed from a male into a female, which made many people who knew the truth laugh at him for a long time.

However, the one who suffered the most ridicule and lost the most face among all the disciples who betrayed the sect was Yuanshi Tianzun.
