Game of Thrones: Summoning the Fourth Calamity
Chapter 54: Giving them a knife
Ed talked about the wildlings' southward migration.
The king was just as indifferent as he had feared.
Speaking of threats, the king looked at Ed with a solemn expression:
"Ah, Targaryen remnants, those two brats have established themselves in Pentos across the Channel."
"They're just two kids, so what? Are they going to fly back on dragons?" Ed turned into the indifferent person he used to be.
"Good heavens, the old, weak, women and children are always no threat to you." The king panted heavily, clearly exhausted from his journey.
"Varys sent a message to me via raven, and now, who knows if those two little brats, with the support of some ambitious individuals, are already thinking about 'going home'."
"They must die, Ed."
Ed felt uncomfortable hearing this and retorted:
"You even trusted Sir Barristan to be your Kingsguard, so what about two..."
The Duke's words were interrupted by the King:
"Those two Targaryen remnants will soon have an incestuous relationship and produce a little bastard. If we don't deal with them, they will keep multiplying and one day they will cross the sea and pat you on the head, saying, 'Your Grace, you are terribly naive!'"
"Then let's fight them back! Their father and brother are no match for us. Unless they give birth to a dragon, what do we have to worry about?" The Duke was always as stubborn as a rock.
"The seven layers of hell! I don't want to discuss this with you anymore. When I get back, I will use my status as king to order Varys to send assassins to eliminate these two major threats!"
Robert could already see the banquet hall in the distance. He wanted to be happy, not upset, and he used his royal authority to end what he considered a pointless argument.
Outside the city of Pentos.
The former member of the group, Brown Man, with a swollen face, led a few of his cronies, staring at the back of the burly man in front of him, cursing him inwardly.
That damned strong eunuch!
Since that day, Brown Man had fled the battlefield with a few remaining soldiers, wandering from place to place, until one night he was surrounded by a group of slave hunters.
Brown Ben met this burly man while on the slave-catching team.
He called himself "Strongman" Beworth, and he certainly lived up to the nickname. His arms were as thick as tree trunks, and he had a broad chest. No one in the slave-catching team questioned his strength.
He claimed to have fought in the arena in Meereen, where he earned the nickname "Strongman," and that he had never lost a fight in the arena.
When Brown saw the numerous knife scars covering the other person's chest and protruding belly, he believed it to some extent.
However, Beves claimed that these were all opportunities he gave his opponents to strike him before they died, and that in a real battle, the enemy would not have had a chance to wound him.
Just as the group was about to be sold to Kohol, Beworth suddenly attacked in the night, strangling the large guard who was holding him alone with chains, and encouraged the slaves to revolt.
After the fierce battle that night, only Beworth, Brown Man Ben and his four confidants survived; all the other slaves and members of the slave-catching team died on that hill.
A few days ago, the group, having nowhere to go, wandered to the vicinity of Pentos. After hearing that the area was occupied by the descendants of the Targaryens, Bevos enthusiastically dragged Ben, the Brown Man, to seek refuge with them.
"Come in, His Majesty will see you."
When Brown Man came to his senses, the white-robed knight who suddenly appeared in front of him really startled him.
The group was led into a grand courtyard, where the white-robed knight introduced it as His Majesty's temporary palace.
Bevos, that big oaf, asked why it was temporary.
The knight only said that His Majesty would reclaim King's Landing and then move into the Red Keep.
Brown Man secretly chuckled to himself, dreaming.
Bevos finally met His Majesty.
Brown Man thought that his opponent looked so thin that he would definitely not last three moves against him.
Of course, this is assuming that all the knights in white robes around him, and the bald knight closest to him, are not present.
Bevos, in the original work, is a skilled fighter and a loyal follower of his sister. Brown Man Ben, this mercenary, can barely be considered a third-rate fighter, or even a second-rate one, so he's just an extra.
However, Viserys couldn't help but smile when he looked at the other party, not for any other reason than he knew all too well why the other party had come to him for refuge.
Viserys naturally wouldn't refuse a skilled soldier who came to him for help, and immediately gave Bevos an empty legion: the Pentos Legion.
Bevos was appointed commander, and Brown was appointed deputy commander. The entire legion was tentatively set at 1,500 men, and the two of them would recruit the personnel themselves. Viserys would keep a firm grip on logistics and supplies.
Bevos was pleasantly surprised and thanked him profusely. The brown man was also quite surprised. After thinking about it, he felt that the treatment was quite good, so he immediately put on a cheesy smile and expressed his loyalty to the king.
After waving for the two to go and prepare, Viserys made his way to his sister Daenerys's room.
As expected, the other party was still studying the three dragon eggs placed in the furnace.
The maid Doria was attending to Her Highness.
She had not long ago been redeemed from a brothel by a wealthy merchant, and was presented to Viserys along with several beauties.
The wealthy merchant called her a rare bed slave, but Viserys was a germaphobe and vaguely remembered that she seemed to be the handmaid Illyrio bought to give to Daenerys in the original story.
They then sent the person to serve Daenerys.
"Viserys? You've come at the right time! You know, I just saw one of the dragon eggs flash in Hearthstone, Doria can vouch for me!"
When she saw her brother again, Daenerys was no longer afraid. Just like when she was a child with her brother, she resumed the demeanor of a girl, instead of a princess.
Doria bowed to Viserys and then followed the White Knight Jorah out of the room with her head bowed, leaving the room to the king and his sister.
The time is not yet right.
Viserys smiled and stepped forward, looking at the dragon egg that Daenerys was pointing to.
Sir William would be very pleased to see you like this.
No matter how many times it happened, Daenerys thought about it every time her brother came near.
She was pleased with her brother's current gentleness towards her, but as for the former Sleeping Dragon Wrath, Daenerys would rather he be dead than awaken.
Viserys' attention wasn't on Daenerys, but on the three dragon eggs.
When magic returns, the dragon egg will hatch, but will the blood of the Horse King be needed? Should I stand in the fire? Is the witch's blood magic also a condition for hatching?
Although mature dragon eggs are available for sale in the store.
However, it is obvious that Viserys, who cannot afford to buy dragons, is temporarily pinning his hopes on the three dragon eggs that will hatch in the original story.
Let's try killing a horse king and a witch; since we can't hatch them, we won't lose anything.
