Hogwarts magic is justice
As I said in Chapter 88, I prefer using my fists.
As I said in Chapter 88, I prefer using my fists.
Vampires aren't afraid of sunlight, but they become weak and powerless under it, as if they're seriously ill. Of course, they aren't afraid of garlic either, they just don't like to eat it because blood tastes sweet to them, and nobody puts garlic in desserts.
As for crosses, they aren't afraid unless they're nailed to the heart. Of course, if you keep waving a cross in front of them—well, whoever it is, it'll annoy them if they keep doing that, and they'll get beaten up.
On the way to the town, Calder talked a lot about the characteristics of vampires: they are long-lived, but not immortal.
"Immortality and immortality are two different things, but many people can't tell the difference. Some people even actively seek out vampires to infect them, willingly giving up their right to be human in order to live longer."
At this point, Calder sighed, then looked at Owen and asked, "Are there many people like this among wizards?"
"Not many, but there are—" Owen's expression remained relatively calm: "But many wizards believe that death is the beginning of another great adventure, so wizards do not abhor death."
Of course, there are many more wizards who always like to court death, but Owen didn't say that because there was no need.
He wasn't just making things up; he actually had the data. Don't forget, he's currently a senior assistant to the Minister of Magic in the UK.
Leaving aside the previous cases, in 1992 alone, the known number of British wizard deaths was 362. Of these, only 75 died of natural causes, 137 died from magical experiments, 60 died from mispronouncing spells, 50 died from magical creatures, and only 40 died from various battles. Of these 40, 10 were Aurors and the other 30 were dark wizards.
When there is no external danger, a wizard's greatest enemy is himself.
There's no need to publicize this kind of thing.
Calder wasn't in the mood to ask questions. He took Owen to a bar, and when they opened the door, they saw that there were quite a few people inside.
The previously noisy environment suddenly fell silent. Calder remained expressionless, while Owen maintained his smile. The two walked to the bar, where Calder tapped the table: "Give me a whiskey, and also, heat up this bag of milk and bring it over."
"No need, I'm used to heating my own milk."
Owen had no habit of drinking milk handed to him by strangers. He simply used his magic to heat the milk, then took out his own cup, poured it, and took a sip like he was drinking alcohol. He then turned around, looked at the room full of people, and laughed, "So this is what vampires are like?"
Calder shook his head: "Yes and no. These can only be considered the lowest level of blood slaves. They have no ability to infect and are only responsible for finding blood for real vampires."
"Okay, so what we're looking for is their superior?"
Irving downed his milk in one gulp, then smiled at the blood slaves and said, "Who here would like to tell me where your supplier is?"
"You brat, you're too arrogant!"
Perhaps it was Owen's casual attitude that provoked these blood slaves, because one of them immediately stood up, walked up to Owen, opened his mouth, and revealed his sharp teeth.
But before it could close its mouth, Owen's uppercut came down in a flash. With just one punch, he not only shut its mouth but also lifted its feet off the ground.
"I hate it when puppies bare their teeth at me—" After landing, Owen jumped off the long chair, grabbed the other person's hair with his left hand, and started punching him hard with his right hand!
Calder was dumbfounded. He had planned to have a drink before making a move, but before he could even get his drink, Owen had already started. Of course, what surprised him most was not Owen's speed, but that he could tell that Owen actually had a background in boxing.
Shouldn't a wizard's weapon be a wand? When did it become a fist?
After throwing over a dozen punches, Irving didn't bother checking on his opponent's condition. He let out a long sigh: "That was great, much more fun than hitting a tree. At least I got the hang of it. By the way, little puppies, where's your owner?"
No one answered. All the blood slaves pounced on him, ready to drain the boy's blood dry!
Calder wanted to help; after the fight, they could have a drink together, right? But he only moved for a moment before stopping because the little wizard unleashed his power, taking down a blood slave with a single punch!
Kidney strike, liver strike, chin strike, chest strike, left hook, right hook, uppercut, straight punch—the punches were executed with great skill and rhythm. The most amazing thing was that every blood slave who was hit by a punch would fall to the ground and scream in agony; none of them could get up.
Within minutes, all the blood slaves in the bar collapsed. Some tried to run away, but when they got to the door, they found that no matter how hard they tried, they couldn't open the broken door.
Calder watched as Owen unleashed his power, taking down all the blood slaves, before returning to the bar, pulling out a carton of milk, and leisurely taking a sip.
"I didn't expect you to be such a good fighter."
"Of course, I'm a sincere person, and I've said before that I prefer to use my fists."
Calder narrowed his eyes: "Is this how wizards fight?"
Honestly, this wizard hunter felt a sense of urgency. If all wizards fought like this, then he had to be careful. If a little wizard was this good at fighting, then how good must an adult wizard be?
"No, this is my way of fighting."
Owen waved his hand dismissively. In truth, he knew his own limitations; he simply didn't possess such strength. Even the Blood Slaves were incredibly resilient, far surpassing the abilities of normal humans. The reason he could take them down with a single punch was because he had secretly used the Cruciatus Curse.
As for the effect—
Seeing the blood slaves screaming in agony all over the ground, the effect was excellent!
Calder, regaining his senses, also realized something was wrong. The blood slaves' screams had been going on for quite a while. Without asking, he knew that Owen had used wizarding methods, but because of this, he felt a little uneasy.
Can he withstand such methods?
He didn't ask, otherwise Owen would have told him not to overthink it. The Cruciatus Curse isn't something every wizard can use, nor can just any wizard cast it silently and without a wand like him.
"Do you want to take these back and use them as teaching materials?"
"No need. I still want to capture one or two pure vampires to use as teaching materials. These blood slaves—forget it, they're too weak. Even second-year students could easily kill them. There's no need to use them as teaching materials at all. So, let's move on—"
"Leave it to me."
