My father, Li Shimin, requests Your Majesty to become the Retired Emperor.

What has always been somewhat comforting for Li Chenggan is that the harem has remained relatively peaceful.

However, unexpectedly, the imperial harem is now also in turmoil.

To be objective, he felt that his mother was one of the most outstanding and excellent empresses in history.

During Liu Bang's struggle for power, his wife Lü Zhi made great contributions to him, but her relationship with Shen Shiqi was ambiguous.

Some say that Shen Shiqi stayed with Empress Lü while she was left to guard the rear.

Their relationship has gone beyond a normal male-female relationship.

After Liu Bang's death, Empress Lü enfeoffed many members of the Lü clan as kings and even wanted to kill all the ministers of the Han Dynasty and change the dynasty.

Empress Chen Ajiao was Emperor Wu of Han's first empress, and there is a very beautiful legend about them called "hiding a beauty in a golden house".

Later, Emperor Wu of Han indeed married Chen Ajiao and made her empress.

Unfortunately, it was a political marriage.

There was no affection between Emperor Wu of Han and Chen Ajiao.

Emperor Wu of Han was young and impetuous, while Empress Chen was domineering and arrogant. The two were like oil and water, neither willing to give in.

Empress Chen did not bear Emperor Wu of Han any children. To treat her infertility, 9000 million coins were spent, leaving the national treasury empty.

Moreover, he frequently made a scene in front of Emperor Wu of Han by crying, making a scene, and threatening to hang himself, driving Emperor Wu of Han to the brink of madness.

Chen Ajiao once felt envious, jealous, and resentful because Wei Zifu entered the palace and gained favor.

She and her mother, Princess Guantao, actually arrested Wei Qing and imprisoned him, intending to kill him.

Moreover, Chen Ajiao was involved in witchcraft, and ultimately, Emperor Wu of Han deposed her as empress and banished her to Changmen Palace.

Although Chen Ajiao spent a fortune to invite Sima Xiangru to write "Changmen Fu" for her.

She hoped this would move Emperor Wu of Han, but the broken relationship was difficult to mend.

Wei Zifu was young and beautiful. Not only was she a good singer, but her long, flowing hair cascaded over her shoulders like a waterfall, making her incredibly beautiful and immediately captivating the young Emperor Wu of Han.

That very day, Emperor Wu of Han visited Wei Zifu.

Then, they brought her into the palace.

Emperor Wu of Han and Empress Wei Zifu loved each other dearly and had three princesses and one son, the eldest son Liu Ju.

When Emperor Wu of Han obtained Liu Ju, he was overjoyed and invited Dongfang Shuo, Mei Gao, and others to compose poems and essays to commemorate that joyful moment.

However, Empress Wei Zifu promoted figures like Wei Qing and Huo Qubing, leading to the growing power of the imperial relatives, which worried Emperor Wu of Han.

Emperor Wu of Han gradually grew distant from Wei Zifu, and the relationship between the couple became increasingly lukewarm. Eventually, it became extremely difficult for Wei Zifu to even see Emperor Wu.

Empress Wei Zifu's final fate was also tragic, as Liu Ju was murdered by Jiang Chong and forced to raise an army.

Without military power, how could he be a match for the imperial court's regular army?

In the end, he was so deceived that he committed suicide.

When Wei Zifu saw that her only son had died, she also hanged herself.

Empress Zhangsun did not commit any of the following acts: adultery, abuse of power by foreign companies, attempts to overthrow the court, or involvement in witchcraft.

Therefore, Li Chenggan believed that his mother was the most virtuous empress in history.

In Li Chengqian's mind, he felt that his mother was perfect and flawless, a model of virtue for the world, and awe-inspiring in the harem.
