Chapter 143 Combat Strength Test: Annihilation of Kang Jinlong

In the Terminator world, not far from Firestar Port, in front of Kang Jinlong's fleet, a Starbreaker destroyer over a thousand meters long was anchored.

"Attention all units, warship testing has officially begun!"

"Kang Jinlong received!"

"Shattered Star One received!"

As soon as the order to begin the test was given, both sides started moving simultaneously.

A brief streak of light appeared on the battlefield, and the next moment, Shattered Star One vanished, arriving behind the Kang Jinlong fleet.

Meanwhile, Kang Jinlong's fleet also entered warp drive mode, with most of the warships disappearing from their original positions and arriving at the area where the Shattered Star No. 1 was originally located.

"Hmm? Report, Captain, the signal feedback from Shattered Star One has disappeared."

"What? He's disappeared? Radar at full power, find him!"

"yes!"

"Report: The frigate has been attacked, and it has been identified as the Shattered Star I."

Before the radar could locate the Shattered Star 1, the combat intelligence department reported the latest situation: the escort ships in the fleet had been attacked.

"Report the battle situation immediately."

"Report: 10 frigates lost. Data corrected: 30. Data corrected: All frigates have been destroyed."

"How is that possible? It hasn't been that long!"

No one present expected that in just a few minutes, all the escort ships in their fleet had been destroyed. Was this second-generation destroyer really that powerful?

"Immediately organize a counterattack and locate the target!"

"yes!"

"Report! The enemy has appeared directly in front of our fleet and is charging towards us."

"Attack! All warships, open fire! Take him down!"

At this moment, the fleet commander of Kang Jinlong's fleet was also extremely angry.

With the annihilation of all the escort ships in the fleet, it already signifies the victory of Shattered Star One. After all, in a real battlefield, there can't be only one Shattered Star destroyer; battles are definitely fought in formations.

Now that the other party was heading straight for him, in his eyes, this guy was courting death.

"Whoosh whoosh whoosh!"

As soon as the order was given to Kang Jinlong's fleet, all the warships immediately opened fire, focusing their fire on Shattered Star No. 1.

However, when these attacks reached Shattered Star One, a shield flashing with blue light appeared and blocked all the attacks.

Moreover, all the energy weapons on the outside of the Shattered Star One warship began to charge.

Inside the Shattered Star One, the captain looked at the fleet not far away and the attacks that had been repelled, a mysterious smile appearing on his face.

"Captain, all weapons are fully charged."

"Alright, lock onto their destroyers and take them out!"

"Yes, Captain."

As several beams of light shot out from the Shattered Star One, they directly locked onto the destroyers in Kang Jinlong's fleet. The next moment...

"Whoosh whoosh whoosh!"

Dozens of particle energy clusters radiating powerful energy appeared, directly destroying the locked-on destroyer.

"Very good, it seems even destroyers can't defend against particle cannon attacks. Not bad."

Sitting in the captain's chair, holding a list, the captain checked off one of the items, put the list down, and continued to focus on the battlefield.

"Sir, the enemy's firepower is too strong. Our destroyers cannot withstand their attack, and according to the energy level reaction just now, our cruisers cannot withstand the full force of their cannons either."

"Order the fleet to adopt guerrilla tactics and find the weak points in the enemy's shields."

"Yes, sir."

The fleet commander now understood how those escort ships had been destroyed so quickly.

Normal energy weapons fire a single energy ball with each attack, but he never expected that this star-shattering warship could fire so many energy balls in one attack.

Such an attack has never occurred before, but if the Vermilion Bird Legion is conducting this test, they will certainly be prepared for this.

As time went on, the tests continued, with both sides exchanging blows and unleashing their firepower at each other.

Unfortunately, all these attacks were absorbed by Shattered Star One.

Inside the Shattered Star One, the captain was very satisfied with the energy recovery values displayed by the system.

"I have to say, this system is really useful. In the face of this kind of gang-up battle, it can absorb all of the opponent's energy attacks and then return them, which can save us a lot of energy."

Although the Shattered Star One is a second-generation destroyer with great power, it is still just a destroyer at the end of the day. The artificial star core is not an infinite energy source, so this energy recovery system can greatly extend the Shattered Star One's endurance.

"Captain, the ship's energy reserves have decreased by 30%."

"What about the enemy's casualties?"

"All destroyers and frigates were destroyed. The enemy's single-shot firepower is now powerful, but the density is low. We are fast and rarely get hit."

"Very good, continue the attack, target the cruisers, take them out!"

"Yes, sir."

Kang Jinlong's fleet also noticed something was wrong.

"Sir, all of our destroyers have been destroyed. Although the remaining cruisers and battleships have powerful firepower, the enemy is too fast, and we cannot attack them effectively."

"How's the Pocket Project going?"

"The last device was launched before the last destroyer was destroyed."

"Alright, lure the opponent into our trap and prepare for the final battle."

"Yes, sir."

Soon, under constant guidance, the battle area between the two sides moved into the trap previously laid by Kang Jinlong's fleet.

"Sir, the enemy is already in our pocket."

"Okay, activate the device immediately and restrain him."

"yes!"

As soon as a command was issued, a powerful gravitational fluctuation appeared around Shatter Star One. The gravity began to become disordered, then gradually took shape, eventually becoming controllable lines that firmly attracted Shatter Star One to its original position.

At this moment, when the surrounding gravitational constant changed, an alarm was immediately issued inside the Shattered Star 1.

Unfortunately, due to interference from some warships around them, they did not have time to escape and were frozen in place.

"What's going on?"

"Sir, the gravitational constant in the surrounding space has changed. Our warship is being bound by gravity from all directions and is unable to move."

"Neither the conventional engine nor the warp drive will work?"

"The conventional engine is not powerful enough to move. As for the warp drive, after use, there is a high possibility of unknown changes, such as failure to jump or jumping to an unfamiliar star system."

"I see. I didn't expect them to have this trick up their sleeve. Can you pinpoint the location of the surrounding devices?"

As the captain, he was also aware of the gravity equipment's status, so he wanted to see if it was nearby.

"Sir, we've scanned and located it. It's too far away and outside our firing range."

"Then forget it. Full shields, full firepower, let's face them head-on."

"Yes, sir."

As soon as the order was given, the shields around Shattered Star One lit up, signaling the arrival of the Kang Jinlong fleet's attack.

"Main gun fully charged, target locked, fire!"

As the Shattered Star One unleashed its full firepower, the surrounding battleships and cruisers suffered greatly. The powerful firepower shattered the shields in a very short time, and then one warship after another was destroyed.

When the ship's onboard energy of the Shattered Star One dropped to 20%, only the flagship remained on site.

"I didn't expect the second-generation warships to be so powerful. Just one destroyer wiped out my entire fleet. That's impressive. Order them to annihilate the rest! Attack!"

"yes!"

Inside the flagship, looking at the still intact Shattered Star I, the captain understood that he had lost this time, but being outmatched was not shameful. Moreover, this warship would be put into service in the future, so although he had lost, he was happy.

Despite the defeat, Kang Jinlong's fleet will not bend its backbone. When paths cross, the brave will prevail. Even if the battle is fought to the last man, they will still charge at the enemy.

Onboard the Shattered Star One, the captain looked solemn as he watched the Kang Jinlong rushing towards him.

"Give him some face! All weapons on board, fire!"

"yes!"

With all the weapons firing, the Kang Jinlong was submerged in an instant.

When visibility was restored, only the wreckage of the Kang Jinlong was left.

Thus, the test ended with a crushing victory for Shattered Star One, much to the delight of Fang Heng and the military's high-ranking officials who were watching from afar.

After a while, the fleet commander of Kang Jinlong's fleet came to report. The surrounding fleet commanders comforted him. After all, they had not expected that the strength of Shattered Star No. 1 was so great. They had all seen the battle just now. Kang Jinlong's fleet had not made any command mistakes. The gap between the two sides was too great, and the annihilation of the entire fleet was not unexpected.

"Alright, the test is over. Overall, it went very well. Also, since this test was conducted by the Kang Jinlong Fleet, let's start the subsequent equipment replacement plan with the Kang Jinlong Fleet first."

Upon hearing Fang Heng's words, the previously dejected Fleet Captain Kang Jinlong suddenly raised his head, his face filled with surprise.

"Yes, thank you, Your Majesty!"

At this moment, some of the fleet commanders who had originally wanted to comfort him wanted to beat him up. Damn it, why didn't they think of trying to get the test mission back then?

"Alright, when you get back, make sure to comfort the other captains and crew members in the fleet. Every generation of technological innovation brings about earth-shattering changes. This time, you've experienced what it felt like for the US carrier strike group to face the Type 055 destroyer back in the day."

Fang Heng looked at the surprised and delighted Fleet Captain Kang Jinlong, and chuckled, patting him on the shoulder.

"Rest assured, Your Excellency, although the soldiers are downcast, they know they are not as skilled as their opponents. We will train harder and make up for it next time."

"Great, that's our Kang Jinlong, keep it up!"

"Yes, Your Majesty!"

At this moment, he had no other thoughts in his mind. When he got back, he would train these young men well and get revenge next time.
