The person is at Hogwarts, but the system is in Middle-earth!

Chapter 11: I can't turn it into a needle, but I can make one by hand!

The morning sunlight streamed into the classroom through the tall arched windows, making the dust particles in the air appear to dance like gold dust.

The Transfiguration classroom was located on the first floor of the castle. The desks and chairs were arranged neatly, and the teacher's platform was empty except for Hakimi, who sat at the corner of a table, watching the doorway.

Lowe was the first to come in.

He was dressed in a neat Hufflepuff robe and carrying a backpack full of "survival supplies" as he carefully pushed open the door.

Luo Wei suddenly stopped in his tracks.

In his vision, the seemingly ordinary Hakimi was enveloped in a dazzling emerald green halo. That was not ordinary magic; it was pure natural will, an ancient aura that seemed to emanate from the golden forest of Lorian.

He took a deep breath, his expression becoming extremely solemn.

Unlike the other students who were joking around while looking for seats, Luo Wei strode to the front of the classroom, knelt on one knee, placed his right hand on his chest, and bowed deeply to the cat.

Good morning, Your Majesty.

His voice was deep and devout, delivered in a tone as if reciting poetry.

"May your radiance illuminate this dark age, and may the forest breeze forever guide your footsteps."

The classroom fell silent instantly.

Harry and Ron, who had just entered, gaped, unsure whether to step in with their left or right foot. Hermione stood in the doorway, clutching a book, her brow furrowed.

The tabby cat seemed to be taken aback for a moment. Its tail froze in mid-air, and a look of extremely human-like astonishment flashed in its yellow eyes.

The next second, the cat jumped down from the podium.

In mid-air, a burst of emerald green light suddenly erupted.

[Form Dismantling]

[True Form Revealed: Galadriel]

As the light faded, Professor McGonagall appeared before Rowe. She pursed her lips, her expression serious, but a subtle, strange glint lurked in her eyes behind her glasses.

"Mr. Baggins," Professor McGonagall's voice was cool, "while such ancient etiquette isn't common at Hogwarts, your observation skills are indeed keen. Few freshmen can see through Animagus at a glance."

"Disguise can only deceive the eyes of mortals, but it cannot conceal the brilliance of the soul, madam." Rowe stood up, still maintaining a slight bow. "Your natural power shines as brightly as the moon."

The whole class burst into laughter. Malfoy, from the back row, taunted loudly, "Look, the Hufflepuff fool is worshipping the cat!"

Professor McGonagall gave Malfoy a stern look, and the latter immediately shut up.

"Sit down, Mr. Baggins," she said. "Five points for Hufflepuff, for your courtesy."

...

The course has officially begun.

"Transfiguration is one of the most complex and dangerous spells you will learn at Hogwarts," Professor McGonagall said, standing on the podium and waving her wand. "Anyone who misbehaves in my class will be asked to leave and never return. I've warned you."

She turned the lectern into a pig, and then it turned back.

The students were stunned and eager to try it out.

Lowe sat in the corner, staring intently at the table.

[Analysis in progress]

[Goal: Matter Reconstruction]

[Principle: By forcibly distorting the rules of reality through intense willpower, the original molecular structure of objects is altered.]

[Comment: This is the authority of the gods. Only the most powerful elven lords can wield this power.]

"Now, it's your turn."

Professor McGonagall handed everyone a match: "Your task is to turn the match into a needle."

The classroom was immediately filled with the sounds of wands being waved and spells being chanted.

"Watch this!" Ron waved his wand like he was swatting flies. "Transform! Transform! Transform!"

The match did not react.

Hermione Granger, however, was much more composed. She stared at the match, her lips barely moving, and tapped her wand lightly. The match instantly transformed; the tip sharpened, and the wood turned into silver metal.

"Look! Professor McGonagall!" Hermione raised her hand in greeting.

"Excellent, Miss Granger." Professor McGonagall smiled, a rare occurrence. "It's become a perfect needle. Ten points in Gryffindor."

Hermione raised her chin smugly and glanced subconsciously at Rowe in the corner.

Luo Wei was staring at the match in front of him, sweating profusely.

He tried. He really tried.

He waved his blackthorn wand, silently chanting "Turn into a needle," "Turn into a needle," "Turn into a needle for me" countless times in his mind.

But there was no response.

[Note: You do not have the "Matter Reconstruction" permission.]

[Hint: Your magic power is 0 (sealed).]

[Recommendation: Find alternative solutions.]

"An alternative?!" Rowe gritted his teeth. "Damn it, this must be a trial prepared for people without elven blood."

Since we can't change matter with magic, let's change its form with physics!

Lo Wei took a deep breath and pulled out a kitchen knife he had secretly taken from the kitchen from his pocket.

"The essence of transfiguration..." he murmured to himself, "is to separate the false from the true. Remove the parts that don't belong to the 'needle,' and what's left is the 'needle.'"

He held the match in his left hand and gripped the knife in his right, then began to chop wildly.

Swish swish!

His movements were astonishingly fast. This was thanks to the knife skills boost from [Hobbit Cooking Talent] and the wrist stability provided by [Basic Swordsmanship].

Wood chips flew everywhere.

The rough matchstick quickly became thinner and rounder under his knife. He used the blade to scrape the surface with extreme precision, removing all the splinters.

Then, he used the tip of his wand to forcefully drill into the end of the match.

笃.

A small hole appeared.

Finally, he took out a pebble he had picked up by the Black Lake from his pocket and began to frantically polish the wooden stick.

Polished and waxed (using leftover butter from breakfast).

Five minutes later.

When Professor McGonagall surveyed Rowe's desk, she froze.

There was a needle on the table.

It has a perfect streamlined shape, a smooth, jade-like surface, and even a faint buttery aroma. The needle hole at the end is round and neat, and the needle tip is sharp enough to pierce a finger.

But this is definitely not metal.

This is a wooden needle. A wooden needle that has been carved to the extreme, a work of art.

"Mr. Baggins..." Professor McGonagall picked up the wooden needle and examined it closely through her glasses. "How...how did you do that?"

"Through willpower, Professor," Lowe said with an air of righteous indignation, "I infused my willpower into the blade, removing its impurities as a 'match' and restoring it to its essence as a 'needle'."

Professor McGonagall fell silent.

She has taught for so many years, and she has seen people turn matches into toothpicks, light matches, and even turn matches into hedgehogs.

But she had never seen anyone do micro-sculpting in a transformation class.

"But this isn't transfiguration." Professor McGonagall put down the wooden needle, her expression complex. "Transfiguration requires changing the nature of matter. You've only changed its shape."

"The essence is very difficult to change, Professor," Rowe said seriously. "Just as an orc can never become an elf. Forcing a change in essence will only lead to distortion."

Professor McGonagall's eyebrow twitched.

She looked into Lowe's sincere eyes and finally sighed.

"While your theory is unique, and your hands are indeed very skillful," she said, "I must point out that this is not the magic we're going to learn. However, given the exquisite craftsmanship of this needle..."

She waved her wand, and the wooden needle instantly turned into a silver needle.

"You can keep it as a souvenir. Also, please use your wand next time, not a knife."

Professor McGonagall turned and left.

Luo Wei breathed a sigh of relief and wiped the sweat from his forehead.

[Quest Completed: Passed the Transfiguration Trial (Fake)]

[Evaluation: You used physical means to deceive the rules of magic. Although the effect was greatly reduced, at least it looked somewhat convincing.]

[Reward: Dexterity +1]

[Skill Upgrade: Physical Sculpting Lv2 -> Lv3]

He picked up the work that Professor McGonagall had turned into a silver needle and carefully put it into his pocket.

"Hey, Rowe," Justin leaned in, his face full of admiration. "How did you do that? Your hands were practically blurring out of focus!"

"That's an ancient craft," Rowe smiled mysteriously. "In my hometown, we call it 'craftsmanship.'"

Hermione, sitting in the front row, turned around, heard what she said, and couldn't help but roll her eyes.

"That's carpentry!" she muttered. "That's cheating!"

Lo Wei pretended not to hear.
