Chapter 22 Team Battle: Ron Creates a Miracle!
[System notification: Reinforcements have arrived.]
[Friendly units detected joining the battlefield.]
[The Fellowship of the Ring is assembling (4/4)]
A bright red warning box flashed on Rowe's retina, but all he felt at that moment was a surge of adrenaline.
Harry Potter, the chosen Ringbearer, did something that left everyone speechless.
He didn't use any fancy magic, nor did he seek cover. He charged straight at the giant like a nimble squirrel.
In Rowe's system view, Harry was enveloped in a golden light, which was the special halo of the "Child of Destiny" (protagonist halo).
"roar!"
The giant turned around, its murky little eyes staring at the oblivious little creature. It raised the wooden stick in its hand.
But Harry was faster. Stepping on the scattered pieces of pipe, he leaped and actually grabbed the troll by the neck!
"Well done!" Rowe couldn't help but shout in approval, his frying pan (dwarven shield) humming excitedly. "Attack its eyes! That's its only weak point!"
Although Rowe shouted "Eyes," Harry clearly had his own tactical judgment, or perhaps it was just pure panic.
Amidst the violent shaking, Harry's wand lurched forward.
*Pfft.*
The magic wand plunged straight into the troll's enormous nostril.
The troll let out a painful howl. This pain was clearly more direct than any magical damage. It writhed wildly, its massive claws lashing through the air.
"A beautiful critical hit!" Rowe thought to himself. This was textbook assassin tactic; although the location was slightly off, the effect was outstanding.
However, the tide of battle turned in an instant.
Although the troll was of low intelligence, it possessed incredible brute strength. With one hand covering its nose, it grabbed Harry, who was hanging on its back, with the other hand in a wild grab.
It lifted Harry upside down like it would a chick.
"Harry!" Hermione screamed from afar.
The huge wooden stick was raised again. This time, the target was the boy wearing glasses.
"No!"
Ron, standing at the door, was deathly pale.
At this moment, in Lowe's eyes, this scene resembled the desperate situation on the edge of Mount Doom. The Ringbearer was in peril, and darkness was about to devour hope.
Someone has to step forward.
"Sam!" Rowe yelled at the red-haired Weasley, his voice cutting through the chaotic battlefield. "Stop standing around! Use that move! Throw it out!"
Ron paused, stunned. Who was Sam? Throw him out? Throw what?
But Rowe's commanding tone made him instinctively raise his wand, just like when Snape stared at him in Potions class; his body reacted before his brain.
He didn't have time to think about any profound spells. His mind was blank, except for a phrase Hermione usually whispered in his ear.
*Yugadim, Leviosa!*
Ron waved his wand, pointing it at the thick wooden club in the troll's hand.
A miracle happened!
The wooden stick that was about to smash Harry's head suddenly seemed to lose its gravity, flying out of the troll's hand and soaring high into the ceiling.
The giant was stunned. It looked at its empty hand, and what was supposed to be a fatal blow turned into an awkward wave.
[System Check: Friendly unit has cast the skill [Telekinesis]. Check successful.]
"Brilliant!" Rowe's eyes lit up. As expected of Sam, he always manages to unleash astonishing potential at crucial moments!
The wooden stick flew to its highest point, then, pulled by gravity, it fell straight down.
Boom!
A loud bang.
The enormous wooden club slammed squarely into the troll's own head.
The blow was so powerful that even the troll's granite-like head couldn't withstand it. It swayed, released its grip on Harry, and spun around like a drunkard.
Its eyes began to roll back, and its steps became unsteady.
This is an opportunity.
A fleeting opportunity.
Lowe didn't hesitate at all. His fighting instincts took over his body at that moment.
He took two running steps, stepped on a broken piece of sink wreckage, and leaped into the air.
At this moment, he was not a first-year student at Hufflepuff.
He is the avenger of the Lord of Balin and the conqueror of the Moria Mines.
He held the dented and deformed cast iron frying pan high in the air, and using the momentum of his descent, he used all his strength to aim at the troll's already severely injured back of the head.
It slashed down hard.
"Lie down!!"
Duang!!
A loud, resounding impact, like the tolling of a clock tower, echoed through the narrow women's restroom.
The force of the blow was so great that the bottom of the frying pan dented in the opposite direction, perfectly fitting the shape of the troll's head.
Time seemed to stand still for a second.
The giant's massive body stiffened. Its white eyes rolled completely back.
Boom! Like a stone tower toppling, the giant monster crashed face down onto the floor. The entire room shook as it fell, dust billowing everywhere.
Luo Wei landed, his legs slightly bent to absorb the force. He was panting heavily, his hands still in a striking position, the base of his thumbs numb from the impact.
[System Summary: Battle Over.]
[Target to be killed: Moria Ogre (Elite)]
[Contribution percentage: Rowe (40%), Harry (30%), Ron (30%).]
[Reward: Strength +2 (You have broken through your physical limits).]
[Achievement: [Ogre Slayer] - Even a frying pan is a deadly weapon in your hands.]
A sudden silence.
Only the burst water pipe was still hissing as it sprayed water.
Harry got up from the ground, rubbing his sore ankle. Ron was still holding his wand, his mouth agape. Hermione, huddled in the corner, slowly raised her head, her eyes glazed over.
They looked at the giant lying on the ground, then at Rowe standing next to the giant's head.
At this moment, he stood amidst ruins, holding a badly deformed frying pan in his hand, his chest heaving violently, and his eyes revealing a fierce look.
"Is...is it dead?" Hermione asked, trembling.
Luo Wei straightened up and wiped the cold sweat from his forehead with his sleeve. The system filter gradually faded, and the epic background music also stopped.
He glanced down at the giant monster, then at the broken kitchen utensils in his hand, and a slightly tired but relieved smile appeared on his face.
"He probably just fainted." Lowe's voice was a little hoarse, but he still tried to maintain a reassuring calm. "But I think I have a reason to have an extra serving of pudding tonight."
