Chapter 98 Ilúvatar's Gift, Moving Spring!

Chapter 99 Ilúvatar's Gift, Moving Spring!

"We won...we really won..." Harry murmured to himself, supporting Ginny as he staggered.

However, just a few steps later, Harry suddenly let out a painful groan and collapsed as if his bones had been removed.

"Harry?" Ginny screamed in alarm, trying to catch the swaying Harry, but she herself was too weak, and the two of them almost fell together on the cold stone slab.

Harry clutched his right arm tightly, his body trembling uncontrollably. His face turned deathly pale in just a few seconds, and cold sweat streamed down his forehead, soaking his hair.

"My hands... they're so hot... they feel like they're on fire..." Harry groaned weakly. "What's there..."

Climbing inside...

Rowe turned around abruptly, strode to Harry's side, and roughly pulled open the sleeve of his robe.

On that once smooth arm, a deep, black wound, exposing the bone, was spreading rapidly. The blood vessels around the wound had turned a chilling black. It was the spot where Harry had been scratched by the basilisk's fangs during the earlier chaos, but he hadn't even noticed it because of the surge of adrenaline at the time.

In Luo Wei's system view, the wound appeared as a hopeless gray, radiating the chill of death.

[WARNING: Powerful curse detected!]

[Type: Fragment of the Mogul's Blade / Poisonous Dragon Breath]

[Status: Transforming into a Wraith. The soul is being pulled into the Netherworld.]

[Countdown: 4 minutes 59 seconds... 4 minutes 58 seconds...]

"Damn it! I was careless!" Rowe's heart sank to the bottom. This was even more troublesome than facing a living basilisk. "This is a curse left by the Ringwraiths! He's turning into a ghost!"

Under the system's filter, Harry's body was gradually becoming transparent, as if being pulled into the shadowy realm by an invisible force. His pupils began to dilate, turning a deathly gray.

"Hold on, Harry! Look at me! Look into my eyes!" Rowe frantically patted Harry's cheeks, trying to rouse him. "Don't close your eyes! Don't listen to those whispers! It's not true! It's Sauron's lies!"

"Love...I feel so cold...so sleepy..." Harry's eyes began to glaze over, his voice growing softer and softer. "It's so dark...I see...a giant eye..."

"No! There is no darkness! Only light! Think of happy things! Think of Quidditch!" Rowe shouted incoherently, quickly pulling a few crumpled mint leaves from his pocket.

He frantically crushed the leaves and pressed them onto Harry's wound, trying to use the meager medicinal power to slow the spread of the curse.

[System Notification: Common herbs are ineffective. Curse level too high (Tier 5).]

[Hint: You need Elrond's healing spell, or... a miracle.]

"It's useless... Damn it, it's useless!" Rowe stared at the unhealed wound, beads of cold sweat forming on his forehead. The coolness of the mint leaves was utterly ineffective in suppressing the burning sensation deep within his soul. "This is the poison that could kill the Witch King of Angmar... I have no antidote!"

Ginny, terrified, burst into tears, her vision blurred. "Will Harry die? Rowe, please save him! He did it to save me..."

Rowe clenched his fists tightly. He felt a deep sense of powerlessness. He was just a battle mage, a half-baked ranger, not a lord of Rivendell, nor Maiah with her resurrection spell.

"I can't save him..." Rowe whispered in despair. "Mortal strength has its limits. Only the Valar... only the light from Valinor can dispel this darkness..."

Just then, the phoenix Fox, which had been perched on Rowe's shoulder preening its feathers, seemed to sense something. It let out a sad yet clear cry and took flight.

It circled once in the air, its golden-red feathers casting a soft glow in the dimly lit chamber, like the dawn's first light.

Fawkes landed on Harry's lap, its small eyes fixed on the blackened wound. It lowered its head. A single, crystal-clear drop of liquid slid down its golden beak.

High concentration of sacred energy detected!

In Loewy's eyes, that single tear transformed into a dazzling white light. It was no longer just a drop of water, but the radiance of the Two Trees, the blessing of Valinor, and the embodiment of all that is good and hopeful.

The moment the tears fell onto the wound, the black poison gas hissed and melted away like snow meeting the sun. The nauseating stench was instantly replaced by a fresh floral fragrance.

The rotting flesh began to grow back, and the dark skin regained its rosy hue. The blackness in the blood vessels faded, replaced by a vibrant red.

The curse has been dispelled.

[Health is rapidly recovering...100%!]

[Debuff Removal: Necromancer status removed.]

"This..." Luo Wei stared dumbfounded at this miraculous scene, his mouth agape, wide enough to fit an egg. "A resurrection spell? No, this is a massive healing spell! This is official cheating!"

Harry looked at his arm in surprise. The once gruesome wound was now completely unmarked, and his skin was smooth and new. "It doesn't hurt anymore...it really doesn't hurt at all. It feels...warm and cozy."

Fox called out again, this time in a much cheerful voice, as if to say, "Don't mention it, it's a piece of cake," and then flapped its wings and flew to hover above Rowe's head, scattering specks of golden light.

Lowe took a deep breath, suddenly knelt on one knee, crossed his arms in front of his chest, and made the most devout knightly salute to the red bird.

"Hail Manwë! Hail Varda! Hail this glorious miracle!" Rowe's voice was filled with awe. "Glory shines upon Middle-earth once more! As long as this bird is here, we will never lose!"

Harry and Ginny exchanged bewildered glances, their expressions incredibly varied.

"What is he doing?" Ginny asked softly, even forgetting to cry. "Did he hit his head just now?"

"I don't know," Harry said, stretching his now-healed arm and feeling its strength return. He shrugged. "Maybe it's some kind of...thank-you ritual? You know, Rowe always has some strange beliefs. Maybe it's a family tradition?"

Luo Wei ignored their whispers. At that moment, the results dialog box popped up on his system interface.

"That's incredible..." Lowe felt the warm current surging through his body, all his previous fatigue vanished, even the pain from slamming his head against the wall disappeared. "Is this what it feels like to be a sucker? Gandalf's bird is practically a mobile fountain! I definitely have to bring it with me in every raid from now on!"

He stood up and dusted off his knees.

"Let's go." Rowe picked up the Gryffindor sword from the ground. This time, his steps were much lighter, and he even hummed a little tune. "Since Vera won't take us in, it means our mission isn't over yet. This adventure isn't over yet."

"What other tasks are there?" Harry asked nervously, gripping his wand tightly. "Are there more basilisks?"

Rowe turned to look at the two young wizards who had survived the ordeal, a slight smile playing on his lips. "Of course, it's time to face the final judgment—I mean, to explain to Professor Dumbledore how we tore his school apart like this. That might be even more terrifying than facing the Dark Lord, believe me!"
