Lin Chuan pushed open the door of the student activity center and ran into Sun Yan.

"Hey, junior, you got here so fast?" Sun Yan asked.

"It's the last PE class," Lin Chuan said, casually pulling a literature club registration form from his bag and handing it over. "Here's the registration form you wanted."

After taking the form, Sun Yan said with a grin, "Let me tell you something. Actually, there are quite a few more boys coming to our literary society these past two days, including one from your class named Liu Hao."

She squinted at Lin Chuan, "Why do you think they came to the literature club?"

"Because of my love for literature," Lin Chuan said.

"Really? Then why did all these people ask about Xiaoyu when they came in?" Sun Yan asked.

"Caring for classmates is also a traditional virtue of our No. 1 Middle School." Lin Chuan seemed unmoved by reason.

"Hehe, junior, shouldn't you feel a little pressure? After all, I've taken a look, and there are some good guys, like that class monitor of Class 1 in Grade 1, who also passed the student council interview yesterday." Sun Yan whispered in his ear like a devil.

"Senior is right, I do need to feel some pressure," Lin Chuan said after a moment of silence, as if deep in thought, before finally speaking slowly, "Since so many boys have joined the literature club, it means they love literature more than I do. So, senior, could you please return my application form to me?"

"Let's keep things separate," Sun Yan said. "Come to my office with me, I'll tell you about today's important business."

Sun Yan led Lin Chuan inside, and soon they arrived at office 101, where he had his last interview.

I pushed open the door and went inside, but there was no one there. There were several documents on the table, and a stack of student resumes on the far side.

Lin Chuan glanced at the empty office, then at the documents. "Senior, you're not going to have an interview later and then ask me to help you out, pretending to be a secretary or recorder, are you?"

Sun Yan turned to look at Lin Chuan, a slightly surprised expression on her face. "You're even smarter than your senior thought; you guessed it all."

"Isn't this simple?" Lin Chuan said, "But isn't it too hasty to just find any newbie to help you with the interview?"

"This isn't just any random job. During your interview, the chairman and I were very impressed with you. It's clear that you understand interviewing very well, which is why you were the first person we thought of when we needed someone," Sun Yan gave a thumbs up. "This time it's serious, not just empty promises."

"oh."

Sun Yan sat down in the same seat she had used during the previous interview and handed him several forms.

Lin Chuan took it and saw that it was an interview evaluation form, which the student had probably made themselves. It was simpler than he had imagined, with only a few options such as "personal qualities," "communication skills," and "expression skills"...

"You'll score and register based on the form. I'll also conduct a psychological assessment later, so let's interview one first to see how they cooperate," Sun Yan said.

Although she believed in Lin Chuan's abilities and interviewing skills, he was still a freshman, so she would have a brief exchange of opinions between the two after the first interviewee to ensure the fairness and reasonableness of the interview results.

Actually, it's rather reckless to ask a freshman to do this kind of thing, but luckily she's the vice president, so no one says anything to her when the president isn't around.

Lin Chuan glanced at the form. "Senior, isn't today supposed to be the Organization Department's interview? Why does this form look like it's from the Discipline Inspection Department?"

"It's the Discipline Inspection Department today."

"Then why is it still you?"

"Hehe, actually I'm in two departments, so if you want to transfer to the discipline inspection department in the future, I can help you with the backroom deal." Sun Yan paused for a moment, "However, you might be more suited to the presidium."

"Let's finish the interviews with the new recruits by noon so everyone can go home early this afternoon," Sun Yan said.

Lin Chuan just smiled and didn't say anything.

There was a knock on the office door, and then a girl with short, simple hair and black-rimmed glasses entered.

She bowed slightly as soon as she came in and greeted everyone, "Um... I... Hello, seniors." Her voice trembled slightly, and she seemed quite nervous.

At this moment, Lin Chuan spoke first, "She's a senior, I'm not a senior, I'm a freshman like you."

The girl was stunned, clearly not expecting this. She looked up at Lin Chuan.

Lin Chuan shrugged. "But now I've just been dragged here by my senior to be a laborer."

Upon hearing this, the girl couldn't help but smile, instantly feeling less nervous.

Sun Yan looked at him and gave him her signature gentle smile. "Young man, please give a brief self-introduction first."

"Okay, senior, I'm Lu from Class 2, Grade 1..."

The subsequent interviews were relatively simple. Sun Yan asked some very standard questions, such as "Why did you apply to the student union?" and "What do you know about our department?"

Clearly, this was the version with "added ingredients" during Lin Chuan's interview yesterday.

However, Sun Yan asked a few more questions about why this timid girl chose the Discipline Inspection Department. The answer was as expected: it was to toughen up her personality.

The interview ended quickly, within ten minutes.

"Thank you for your interest in the student union. We will notify you of the interview results later," Sun Yan said.

The girl stood up. "Thank you, senior. Thank you... classmate."

After everyone left, Sun Yan looked at Lin Chuan beside her and asked, "How did the evaluation forms and interview records go?"

Lin Chuan handed the form over directly, indicating that the other party could look at it themselves.

Sun Yan looked at the form for a while and couldn't help but click her tongue. "You really weren't a student council officer or minister before? Your writing is more standard than mine."

"I only looked it up online before joining the student council," Lin Chuan said.

"I see." Sun Yan nodded.

For the next few interviews, she felt completely at ease entrusting Lin Chuan with taking notes, and all she needed to do was focus on conducting the interviews.

With the two of them working together, they were very efficient, and they finished processing about ten new students within an hour.

Sun Yan thought to herself that calling Lin Chuan was the right decision; otherwise, with the interviews and record-keeping, she might not have been able to finish them all in one afternoon.

If it drags on until the afternoon, it will affect her getting home from school, and she wants to go home earlier.

Sun Yan leaned back in her chair, sighed, and glanced at the remaining resumes. There were still three new students left. She would have finished all her tasks for noon, and it would be almost time for afternoon classes.

"I should try harder to get this done," Sun Yan thought to herself, when her phone rang. She took it out and was stunned for a moment.

After a few seconds of contemplation, she turned to Lin Chuan and asked, "Junior, do you find interviews difficult?"

"It's not difficult," Lin Chuan said honestly.

Actually, this kind of thing is not difficult for him. He could even interview this year's freshmen all by himself.

The interview results could be even better than the chairman and vice-chairman going out together, but there's no need to mention that.

"That's exactly the answer I wanted," Sun Yan suddenly sat up straight. "How about you handle the remaining freshman interviews alone?"

Lin Chuan was taken aback. This kind of thing was simple for him, but why would the student council send someone who had just joined yesterday to conduct an interview? That didn't seem right.

"Senior, are you serious?" he asked.

"There's a problem with the girls' dormitory in our class. Our homeroom teacher just called me, and I need to go there now. I don't know if I can get it done before class starts," Sun Yan said. "So I'm asking you for help."

"Aren't there any other senior students in the department?" Lin Chuan said. He thought to himself, "I know your student council is just a makeshift organization, but it doesn't have to be that makeshift, does it? It's the No. 1 High School in the city, after all. People who don't know better would think it's some run-down high school I used to go to."

"We can call someone at the last minute, but I don't know if they'll make it in time, since we have to finish the interviews before class."

"I just joined the student council yesterday, right? Isn't this too casual?"

"Actually, two of the remaining three are from your class, so just go for the interview. I'll take care of anything that happens to these people," Sun Yan said.

Since that's been said, Lin Chuan had nothing more to say. He nodded and said, "Okay."

"Then it's up to you." After saying that, Sun Yan tossed the resume into his hand, got up and left, seemingly because she had something urgent to attend to.

Lin Chuan sighed. He should have put on an act during the interview; he wouldn't be sacrificing his lunch break to work and help with the interview now.

He picked up the three freshmen resumes, glanced at them, and saw that the first one was from a boy in Class 1 of Grade 1, while the other two were from Class 5, and they were all acquaintances.

Looking at it this way, it doesn't seem like there's any problem with letting him do the interview, since he knows these two much better than Sun Yan does.

The office door opened again, and the first interviewee entered. Lin Chuan sat up slightly.
