Early in the morning, Lin Chuan stood between the two teaching buildings of the city's No. 1 Middle School.

With more than ten minutes to go before morning reading, many students were already standing in the corridor of the teaching building, holding hot buns in one hand and Chinese textbooks in the other, reading quietly.

The sound of reading aloud wasn't loud, but it rose and fell in waves.

Sun Yan distributed student council armbands and registration books to everyone in order, and after a brief explanation, she said...

"Alright, do you all understand your assigned areas? Let's begin."

"Yes, Minister," the group replied in unison.

Since they were all first-year high school students, Sun Yan and Lin Chuan were in separate groups, and she explained some precautions and so on. She said with a smile, "However, you'll understand these things after experiencing them a few times."

"Yes, Minister," Liu Hao said. "I will complete the task well."

"it is good."

Sun Yan called out to Lin Chuan, the last one to leave, "Xiao Chuan."

Lin Chuan stopped and turned around.

"Patrols aren't that difficult," Sun Yan said. "But if anything happens, please take care of them. If you encounter anything that's hard to resolve, please let me know immediately."

In her mind, Lin Chuan was different from the average first-year high school student.

"I know," Lin Chuan said.

Lin Chuan nodded in acknowledgment, then turned and left.

"Lin Chuan, I might not be as good as you guys. If there's anything wrong with the inspection, please take care of me," Tang Xiaoying said softly.

"We're both freshmen in high school, and we take care of each other," Lin Chuan said.

"Mmm." Tang Xiaoying smiled.

Lin Chuan led Tang Xiaoying straight to the second-year high school building, and they started checking from the classrooms on the second floor upwards.

They were all freshmen, Liu Hao and Cheng Xue were in charge of their fellow freshmen, while Lin Chuan would have to deal with the sophomores.

But for him, it made no difference.

It's called a patrol, but in reality it's just walking to the back door of the classroom and looking inside to make sure everyone in the class is doing their morning reading as usual and isn't dressed in strange clothes. If necessary, they'll go into the classroom from the back to check.

The entire process does not disturb the students in the class too much, and the teacher is more like someone walking by outside.

Back in the day, Lin Chuan used to slack off in the classroom and was always on guard against the teachers patrolling outside. Now, he himself has become the patrolman.

The boy who slays the dragon eventually becomes the dragon himself.

The two of them walked along, holding the registration book in their hands. Almost everyone in the second-year classrooms was doing their morning reading.

Even if there are people trying to take advantage of the situation, they will pretend to be interested if they see someone standing outside the classroom with a notebook.

Lin Chuan walked to the classroom door of Class 10 of Grade 11 and saw several boys by the window, dozing off with their heads down, surrounded by the sound of reading aloud.

"Do we need to register this?" Tang Xiaoying asked.

Before Lin Chuan could answer, a boy from the class jogged out, clearly having noticed the two of them.

"Excuse me, are you from the student council?" the boy asked with a smile.

"Yes, just a routine stroll around," Lin Chuan replied with a smile.

The boy patted the other students on the shoulder. "They went to play in the second-year class competition yesterday, so they're a bit tired." The other students looked up and saw Lin Chuan at the door. Then they picked up their textbooks and started reading.

"Then I'll just deduct a little from your morning reading points. As long as it's not a complete deduction, it won't have much of an impact," Lin Chuan said.

"Okay, okay," the boy said, "thanks, bro."

"fine."

"Hey bro, which class are you in? Let's have a class game sometime."

I'm a first-year high school student.

The boy was taken aback. "Junior, you've worked hard."

"Then let's continue." After saying that, Lin Chuan left with Tang Xiaoying.

The two continued walking down the corridor.

Tang Xiaoying couldn't help but ask, "Why don't you remember this?"

She saw in the register that there were blank spaces for sleeping during morning reading or sleeping in class, which were to be checked, and you could even register the name directly. Lin Chuan, however, only had some points deducted for morning reading.

"It's just a nap, there's no need for that," Lin Chuan said. "Besides, we're just the student council, not real teachers. We can just wake people up and continue our morning reading."

Tang Xiaoying seemed to understand, but not quite.

"Essentially, we're also encouraging everyone to wear their school uniforms, do their morning reading, and maintain good hygiene. Just cooperate," Lin Chuan continued to explain.

"You seem really amazing," Tang Xiaoying said. "You seem to know a lot of things."

Faced with such direct praise, Lin Chuan gave a token smile but said nothing.

Soon, they finished touring the areas that the second-year students were responsible for, and the register was completed, except for one student from the second-year (Class 7) who was five minutes late.

Lin Chuan didn't remember the names of the others much; he mainly focused on urging them on.

As the bell rang to signal the end of morning reading, Lin Chuan said, "It's over. Let's go back to the classroom."

"Uh-huh."

In the classroom of Grade 11 (13), the morning reading had just ended. Some students took out their breakfast and started eating, while others were sleeping on their desks.

Many people's eyes were turned towards the back door.

Cheng Xue looked at the boy blocking the classroom door and said calmly, "Could you please move aside?"

"Why did you mark me as late?" the boy asked.

"Because you were indeed late," Cheng Xue said. The boy had rather long hair, and his school uniform was worn rather loosely.

The first year of high school (13) was the last class she inspected. Just as she finished inspecting the class, the morning reading session ended. She gave the score and was about to leave when she was entangled by the boy in front of her.

The other person blocked the classroom doorway, bracing themselves with their hands, making it impossible for her to leave.

"I wasn't late, I just went to the restroom," the boy shrugged, flashing what he thought was a bright smile. "But, either you can skip my name, or tell me your name, which class are you in? You're also a freshman, right?"

Cheng Xue frowned slightly.

"Old Liu, stop messing around and let them leave." The class monitor of Class 13, a boy with a buzz cut, said to the boy standing at the door.

Old Liu laughed and said, "I didn't do anything. If they want to leave, they can just leave."

As he spoke, he braced himself with his arm and stepped aside, indicating that if anyone wanted to get out, they would have to pass under his arm.

Liu Hao hesitated for a moment, but still spoke up, "Excuse me, we are from the student council, could you please move aside?"

"So what if you're in the student council? You think you're so great?" Old Liu's tone became even more aggressive upon hearing this.

"That's not what I meant," Liu Hao quickly said.

"Do you think you're so great just because you're in the student council? Huh?" Old Liu continued to ask, staring at Liu Hao with a fierce look, a stark contrast to his attitude towards Cheng Xue just now.

Liu Hao was a little at a loss because there were several of them, and they looked quite tall. He opened his mouth, but suddenly didn't know what to say.

"The student council isn't anything special, but blocking people from leaving isn't right, is it?"

Before Lao Liu could react, someone spoke behind him. His hand, which was supporting the classroom door, was pushed away from behind, and he stumbled, almost hitting the wooden door.

A boy in a school uniform walked past Lao Liu and stopped in front of Cheng Xue and Liu Hao. "Let's go back. It's almost time for the first class."

The two of them stared at the boy in front of them, both slightly taken aback.

"Who are you?" Old Liu was a little angry now, and his voice was louder, instantly attracting the attention of more students in the class. Those students who were lying down all raised their heads.

The boy in the school uniform turned around and happened to stand between Lao Liu and Cheng Xue.

He smiled and pointed to his armband, "Hello, my name is Lin Chuan, from the Student Union's Organization Department, and I'm also their class monitor."
