Cat Princess and Human Knight

Chapter 16 You Must Control Yourself

Yi Yin blinked at the dwarf cat princess, not expecting her to still remember the retired golden tabby bishop, so he asked.

"You're not angry with that old bishop anymore?"

Princess Shorty Cat said calmly.

"Grandpa Milo was only doing it for my own good."

Yi Yin doesn't believe that Princess Shorty Cat had a change of heart; she simply has no conscience.

Staring into her yellow-green eyes, Yi Yin suddenly realized that this heartless cat was purely acting out of self-interest, needing to maintain a good relationship with the old bishop.

The two cats had a terrible fight yesterday, and the Munchkin Princess's coldness and aloofness had hurt the old Golden Shaded Bishop's heart.

Although the short-legged princess had lost her conscience, she knew how to analyze the pros and cons.

Now that I've decided to develop my career in Viscount Huru, I naturally need to cultivate a good relationship with the old bishop of the Golden Gradient, who has a strong local network and reputation, so that I can gain a foothold.

Thinking of this, Yi Yin couldn't help but smile and nod.

"We should send over a few more."

Then, Yi Yin turned to look at the orange cat who was engrossed in munching on a corncob and asked.

"Bell, are you leaving today? Should I cook you a few extra ears of corn to take on the road?"

The orange cat paladin shook his head, spitting out a mouthful of corn grits as he spoke.

"No need, I've tasted it and that's enough. I'll leave after I finish eating."

We paladins must restrain our desires. We gain weight to better cast divine spells, not to satisfy our own greed.

Yi Yin was filled with respect and gave a thumbs-up in praise.

"If all cats were as upright as you, the whole world would be at peace."

Yi Yin's words pleased the orange cat Paladin greatly. His tail instinctively twitched up as he buried his head in his four ears of corn, and soon only one ear remained.

Just then, a meow came from outside the courtyard, and a calico cat wearing armor strode in.

"It smells so good, Green! What are you making so early in the morning?"

Princess Shorty Cat stood up.

"Luna, my knight, you have come."

The calico knight named Luna knelt before the dwarf cat princess and bowed.

"May Mother Earth protect you, my princess. It is so good that you are safe and sound."

I received a message from Green last night and rushed back overnight. I've been so worried these past few days. I shouldn't have left your side, and I shouldn't have come to Hululing on business when you were in the most danger.

Yi Yin looked at the new calico cat knight.

Her fur was black, orange, and white, resembling a burning flame. She had silver eyes, wore a red cloak, and her armor was engraved with flame patterns. She was heroic and very majestic.

With a thud, Yi Yin saw a corn cob fall to the ground and roll down the floor to the knees of the calico cat knight.

Turning around, Yi Yin saw the orange cat Paladin looking dazed and confused, not even noticing that the corn cob in his hand had fallen to the ground.

Yi Yin complained.

"Hey, wipe your drool."

The orange cat paladin subconsciously wiped the corner of his mouth, but did not find any trace of drool. He glared at Yi Yin, who was smirking.

Then the orange cat paladin coughed, tightened his armor, and bowed to the calico cat paladin.

"Hello... this corn is delicious, would you like to try some?"

The calico cat knight got up, glanced at the corn cob on the ground, then at the uneasy orange cat paladin, and turned to look at the dwarf cat princess.

"Your Highness, where did this fool come from?"

Princess Munchkin shook her head and said.

"Let me introduce you to Luna, my loyal knight and my best friend."

This is Yi Yin, a human. He will be staying at the manor for the time being.

This is Grand Knight Bell of the Golden Flame Knights.

"My safe escape and return to Huru Territory is all thanks to those two. Without their help, you would never have seen me again, Luna."

Luna raised her hand in a knightly salute and said solemnly.

"Thank you both for your selfless help, Paladin Bell. I sincerely apologize for my rudeness and ask for your forgiveness."

The orange cat paladin waved its paws frantically, its fat face now flushed red.

"No, no, no, it's all I should do."

Yi Yin watched from the side with a sly grin and teased him.

"Bell, didn't you just say you'd leave after eating? As a paladin, you must restrain yourself and not succumb to your desires. You need to control yourself."

Belle made three "goose-goose-goose" sounds, but couldn't utter a single word.

The short-legged cat princess, seeing the embarrassed orange cat paladin, came to his rescue.

"Bell, why don't you stay a few more days?"

You saved my life, and I am very grateful. You should give me a chance to show you hospitality.

Yi Yin understood immediately and offered his assistance from the sidelines.

"That's right, it's no big deal to travel the world and uphold justice. Why don't you stay a few more days?"

Bell lowered his head, not daring to look at the calico cat's face, and said guiltily.

"Since Your Excellency is so hospitable, I shall stay a few more days."

Princess Shorty Cat smiled slightly.

"You guys continue cooking corn for breakfast, I'll take a few ears to see Grandpa Milo first."

The calico cat knight stood behind the dwarf cat princess and said.

"Your Highness, I'll go with you."

Princess Munchkin shook her head and said.

"Luna, sit down and eat too. Try this grain you've never seen before; it tastes quite good."

I'm just going to see Grandpa Milo. It's alright, we'll talk more when I get back.

The dwarf cat princess pinned the calico cat knight to the stone bench, and coincidentally, this spot was separated from the orange cat paladin by only one silver leaf.

Yi Yin wiped his hands, stood up, and said.

"Sophia, I'll go to the village with you. People are worried about you going out alone as a cat."

"it is good."

Yi Yin and the dwarf cat princess walked out of the courtyard together. Behind them, the orange cat paladin secretly glanced at the calico cat knight sitting not far away, and even the corn cob in front of him didn't taste so good anymore.

After walking a distance, Yi Yin glanced back and asked in a low voice.

"Sofia, do you want to keep Bell?"

The short-legged cat princess nodded.

"Bell is very strong."

"So you'd even use your best friend? You really are a heartless cat."

"...Boring humans..."
