Cat Princess and Human Knight

Chapter 38 The Scumbag's Wish

Although the knight tournament encountered a minor setback during its execution, the damage caused by Ilya was not significant. The spare wooden fence could still be used as long as the stakes were tapped.

After witnessing the extraordinary power of humans up close, the noble cats did not leave out of fear. Instead, they felt that the trip was well worth it and were even more motivated to compete in the cat rider competition.

Therefore, this knightly tournament will continue for several more days.

---

At night, Princess Sofia, the gnome cat, returned to her own tent.

The huge tent was specially heightened and enlarged for the sake of the knight Yi Yin, but in reality, it was only big enough for him to sit crampedly inside. If he stretched, the tent might collapse.

Luna, the calico knight, lifted the tent flap and invited Sophia inside.

Luna, who had been healed by the orange cat paladin Bel's divine magic, was now able to move freely, but she still walked with a slight limp.

But she insisted on working as a bodyguard, accompanying Sofia on her travels.

Back in the tent, Bell shamelessly approached and asked.

"Luna, how are your legs feeling? Do you need further treatment?"

Luna was quite straightforward; she took off her boots, put her feet on Bell's knees, and spoke frankly.

"It doesn't hurt much anymore. I didn't realize you were so capable. Help me feel better now."

Bell swallowed hard, his eyes darting around to hide his lecherous expression. He pretended to be serious as he touched Luna's cat paw, purring and using his magic to soothe Luna's pain and heal her injuries.

Seeing Bell's cowardly and hesitant attitude, Yi Yin looked down on him. He was currently having Ilya completely under his thumb, so he naturally despised the coy and pretentious behavior of this innocent little kitten.

Sophia ignored the two knights who were secretly in love with each other, and after she sat down, she asked Yi Yin.

"Ilya Onyxia, is she gone?"

Yi Yin pointed to the cramped little tent and said.

"She didn't like living here, and she didn't like eating your cat food, so she simply went back home."

Humans have their own pride. They interact with cats to play with and pet them, not to play house with them.

Only a big, silly guy like Yi Yin from another world would be so shameless as to delve into cat society and become some kind of human knight.

Although Ilya didn't understand, she still respected Yi-yin's choice. Of course, she herself was too lazy to play along with Yi-yin's strange cosplay.

She's just a virtuous wife who doesn't care if her husband goes out to internet cafes all night. She just lets him be happy.

Sofia nodded.

"It's fortunate that she showed up today, otherwise this situation would have been really difficult to resolve."

When Sophia brought up what happened during the day, Yi Yin became furious and complained.

"How dare you say that? You almost got me killed! You said the cat race was terrified of humans and that no cat knight would ever dare to challenge a human knight."

And what happened? That leopard cat almost stabbed me in the back with its sword! I don't believe you for a second!

Sofia shook her head and sighed.

"Fear comes from strength. The human race's extraordinary power is undoubtedly comparable to that of gods, and the cat race naturally holds it in the highest esteem. However, the cat race has already thoroughly investigated your background, so it's normal that they are not afraid of you."

I apologize for not considering this matter carefully.

Yi Yin snorted. What do you mean by having your secrets exposed? You mean you're complaining that I don't have any supernatural abilities?

He protested.

"Killing a cat is no skill; keeping a cat alive is the real skill!"

A swift stroke, a snap, and the cat's life is over. Is that what you call skill? Making a cat tremble with fear is skill? This is pure terror!

Building is harder than destroying, and keeping a cat alive is harder than killing one, understand? If you're so capable, let's see who can raise more cats and who is more loved by the cats.

Sophia looked at Yi Yin, who was unconvinced, and wondered what he was complaining about. Perhaps it was just his bored male pride, but she simply asked him about the issue that mattered to her.

"Now that you mention it, I have a question for you. You said the corn was a gift from a friend? Was it from Ilya Onyxia?"

Yi Yin was stunned, his mind racing.

To be honest, those corn were purchased from Yi Yin's cheat software and had nothing to do with Ilya.

However, it's not entirely true that the corn was purchased using the "heart points" that Ilya earned by beating up Yi Yin, so it can be considered that she contributed both money and effort.

Yi-eun touched his nose, unsure how to explain, and finally sighed.

"That's how you see it... well, let's just say that's how it is."

Sophia nodded and asked solemnly.

"Could you ask her to bring back some more corn?"

Yi Yin stared at Sophia.

"Do you really think I'm a kept man?"

Sofia shook her head.

"Whatever, don't worry about these trivial details. Being a kept man is a skill in itself; many cats want to but can't afford it. I just want to ask if you can bring back some more corn?"

Yi Yin rolled his eyes. In the end, he still believed that Yi Yin was a scumbag who lived off a woman. These details were insignificant. Didn't he, a grown man, have any pride?

But then he thought about it again.

Ilya and he were currently deeply in love, and Yi Yin couldn't bear to be foolish enough to make Ilya angry and upset. He couldn't take a beating for the time being, and his affection points were dwindling, so he really didn't have much confidence.

Yi Yin couldn't help but feel deflated.

"How would I know? How would she know?"

Sophia assumed his ambiguous words were just a way of avoiding asking a woman, and scoffed.

"You're such a cheapskate, if you don't want to, then forget it."

Yi Yin shook his head with a wry smile; this matter was difficult to explain.

Did he tell Sophia that he had plenty of food, provided she was a scumbag and he didn't know how much of a scumbag she had to be?

Yi Yin was also quite helpless.

Ilya was so good to him, and he really didn't want to hurt this straightforward and traditional girl, but fate played a cruel trick on him. The cheat code forced him to be a scumbag, and there was nothing he could do about it.

As the saying goes, being a scumbag is not one's own choice; it's difficult to have both love and loyalty.

Yi Yin had already realized that if he wanted to help Sophia, he had to take enough beatings from the human women.

But the more he played with this cheat, the more he liked it, and the more excited he became. He had no idea how things would end up.

Once you figure out Ilya's personality, she's relatively easy to please. But are other human women as easy to control as Ilya?

With a sigh, feeling that the road ahead was long and arduous, Yi Yin asked.

"What is your need in asking this?"

Sofia nodded.

"Duke Snowclaw frankly told me that the white disaster last winter was unexpectedly severe. According to the intelligence reports, the snowfall was three times more than in previous years."

The nomadic cat population has already reached its limit, and this year's southward migration will be much more intense than in previous years.

As a fiefdom noble who had just returned to the Shattered Hills, he hoped I could contribute in the subsequent war against the nomadic cats' southward advance, in order to gain more recognition from the nobles of the Shattered Hills.
