Cat Princess and Human Knight

The rising sun shines bright as an egg yolk, a beautiful spring day indeed.

As the morning mist dissipates, the white fog lingers, and the enchanting cliffs seem to shimmer with ethereal beauty.

The stone steps carved along the cliff are covered with moss, which is especially verdant in the early spring dew. The cave not far away exhales clouds, as if there are immortals there.

Suddenly, black mist rose from the cliff, and then two people and a cat appeared.

The Persian cat cautiously watched the edge of the cliff. Even the regent, Grand Duke Shadowmoon, had never seen such celestial beauty and was filled with trepidation.

Ophelia, on the other hand, remained calm. Ilya's sleeping body floated in front of her as she gazed at the cave entrance not far away.

"Go and pay your respects at the mountain."

Having been disciplined by Ophelia for several days, the Persian cat dared not disobey. He cautiously walked up the steps, following Professor Ophelia's method, knelt on the seventh stone step in front of the cave, kowtowed, and shouted.

"Raine. Shadowmoon pays homage at the mountain gate, having urgent business to report, and requests an audience with Your Excellency!"

After a while, there was no response from inside the cave.

Grand Duke Shadowmoon cautiously turned to look at Ophelia not far away, only to see Ophelia's gaze sharpen as she gave a warning.

"They're here!"

A red light flashed in the cave, and a figure rushed out of the cave and floated above the Persian cat.

"What kind of wicked beast dares to trespass into my Bixia Cave on Jieshi Mountain? Don't you have a death wish!"

Duke Shadowmoon looked closely and saw the woman barefoot, stepping on a spinning ring of crimson flames.

Her long eyelashes seemed to be burning, her red eyes were like surging magma, and her bright red high ponytail was tied up with a ribbon of flames.

A see-through bra, revealing the right shoulder, with flame-like patterns appearing on the skin.

The tight-fitting shorts exposed her fair, snow-white thighs from her left foot down to her right leg, while a red ribbon was tied around her right leg, with flowing crimson light seeping from the gaps.

A crimson gold ring was fastened around his waist, and crimson lotus fire patterns appeared on his wrists. He stared intently at me, exuding an imposing aura without anger.

Duke Yingyue dared not slacken his efforts and kowtowed deeply.

"I am Ilya, the favored one of Lady Onyxia. I have come with important matters to report, and I urge you to investigate, my lord!"

The woman narrowed her eyes, ignoring the kneeling Persian cat, and turned to look at Ophelia and Ilya not far away.

Upon seeing the unconscious Ilya, the woman's eyes burned even brighter as she rushed over.

"Second sister! What's wrong?"

Ophelia stepped back two paces and looked at the girl who was hugging Ilya with a smile.

"It's been a long time, Miss Freya."

The woman standing before Ophelia was Freya. Onyxia, the ninth seat of the Council of Hearts of Man, the Molten Queen, and the youngest of the three Onyxia sisters.

Freya said coldly.

"Who are you? What have you done to my second sister?"

Ophelia shrugged innocently.

"Third Miss, you're wronging me. I held all three of you triplets when you were little. Don't you remember me? I'm Ophelia."

How could I possibly harm Illya? I just happened to find her unconscious when I woke up this time, so I brought her back.

Freya looked at Ophelia carefully for a few moments and nodded.

"I remember now, you are that ancient woman my mother mentioned who loved to sleep."

Even though Ophelia was usually very shrewd, she could barely keep a smile on her face, and she gritted her teeth as she let out a soft laugh.

"Your mom...she really knows how to talk..."

Freya picked up the unconscious Ilya and asked.

"What happened to my second sister? How did she become like this?"

Ophelia suppressed her anger and pointed to the Persian cat, who was still kneeling.

"I don't know about that. You'll have to ask that Persian cat. I just happened to run into it when I woke up in the Imperial City. Ilya was already asleep at that time."

After crossing the Nine-Bend Bridge, a smiling statue of the Earth Mother stands at the bridgehead, prompting Grand Duke Yingyue to utter a slip of the tongue.

Ophelia turned around and smiled at Grand Duke Shadowmoon, causing the Persian cat's tail to bristle instantly.

These past few days have made Duke Shadowmoon realize that the brighter this witch's cold smile, the more she will offend him.

Suddenly, a feather duster emerged from behind the statue of the Earth Mother, gently patting away the dust from the hem of her skirt.

"You ignorant bumpkin, this statue is the famous statue of the bestowed daughter of the human race."

The late matriarch once prayed for children before this statue, and she conceived triplets, much to the envy of her clan. Women flocked to her door seeking offspring.

A white cat emerged from behind the statue of the Earth Mother Goddess. It wore a narrow-sleeved ruqun (a type of traditional Chinese dress) with a long, open-front jacket over it. The color of the jacket was plain blue, and the cat had a haughty expression. It gave a disdainful look to the fussy Duke Yingyue.

Upon seeing Freya holding Ilya, her expression changed drastically, and she rushed forward and screamed.

"Second Miss! What's wrong with you, Second Miss!"

Freya said softly.

"It's nothing. She just used up too much of her talent power and fell into a deep sleep to recover."

Alice, go and prepare the lava spring. I'll be there shortly.

"Yes, yes, I'll go right away."

Seeing the white cat leave in a hurry, not even having time to put away the feather duster, and casually tossing it next to the goddess statue, Ophelia laughed.

"This white cat looks familiar. Is it a descendant of Fairfax, the white cat from back then?"

"Exactly."

"I remember this white cat clan was your mother Katarina's clan. I never imagined that there would still be descendants serving you three sisters."

Freya nodded and said.

"After Mother passed away, my eldest sister took over Bixia Cave. The Fairfix family has been the stewards for generations, and nothing much has changed."

"Aunt Ophelia, please rest and have some tea in the front booth. I've taken my second sister to the hot spring for recuperation; I'll be right there to serve her."

Upon hearing the word "auntie," Ophelia's eye twitched, and she smiled.

"In the past, Katarina and I always addressed each other separately. You could just call me by my name; there was no need for any formal titles."

Freya hesitated.

"My mother doesn't like us for being unruly."

"You think she's well-behaved? She was incredibly wild back in the day!"

Seeing Ophelia's expression, which was already on the verge of collapse, Freya nodded and said.

"Alright, Ophelia."

After all that back and forth, Ophelia was finally relieved of the title of "auntie," which made her breathe a sigh of relief and her complexion look a little better.
