Liu Yunshu watched Lu Yan leave, a slight smile playing on her lips.

She turned to look at Liu Yunfan and patted the back of his head.

"You brat, now you don't even call me 'sister' anymore!"

He took the movie tickets and asked, "Why did you suddenly want to treat me to a movie?"

Liu Yunfan scratched his head and smiled ingratiatingly at her.

"My roommate gave me two tickets, saying it's a newly released sci-fi movie, and it's pretty good... Sis, who was that guy you were looking at just now? He seemed a bit fierce."

It makes me feel like he's his rival! How could that be!

Liu Yunshu chuckled and tapped his forehead with her fingertip: "Don't worry about so much, kid. What time does the movie start?"

"Seven o'clock in the evening!"

"Okay, I'll pack up and we'll go together later."

Liu Yunfan nodded and obediently sat down to wait for her.

Liu Yunshu leisurely tidied the flower stand, and after finishing, she called Liu Yunfan to go out.

Lu Family Old House

Madam Lu raised an eyebrow as she watched Lu Yan enter carrying sunflowers. "Someone who hasn't been back to the old house in ages has been coming back so frequently these past few days."

Yesterday I gave her pink roses, which is unusual for me, and today she brought back sunflowers. Something's not right, something's really not right!

Mrs. Lu put down her teacup and glanced at the pot of golden sunflowers.

She then slowly turned to her son, a half-smile on her face, and said, "Has the sun risen in the west? Has our CEO Lu changed his ways and learned to bring some liveliness to the household?"

Lu Yan placed the sunflower in the corner of the living room, his ears slightly burning: "I just bought it on the way to the flower shop."

"Oh? Just doing it casually?" Mrs. Lu slowly got up and circled around the sunflower.

"Which florist has such impressive flowers that you'd 'casually' buy them two days in a row?"

She reached out and brushed aside the golden petals, catching a glimpse of her son's taut jawline out of the corner of her eye. She knew perfectly well what was going on: "That bouquet of pink roses yesterday, supposedly for me, I think it was just a pretext."

Lu Yan's Adam's apple bobbed, but he didn't reply. He turned to go to the study.

"Stop," Madam Lu called out to him, her tone teasing, "What does that girl look like? To be able to capture the heart of our eternally unmoving iceberg, she must be an absolute beauty, right?"

Lu Yan paused, Liu Yunshu's image uncontrollably appearing in his mind.

The dark red cheongsam accentuated her curves, while the moon-white cotton and linen fabric added a touch of elegance, and her eyes held a captivating curve when she smiled.

"Mom, don't make wild guesses." His voice sounded a little unnatural.

She already has a boyfriend, and a hint of sadness flashed in his eyes.

Madam Lu was incredibly astute; she could tell from her son's expression that he had guessed correctly.

She stepped forward and patted Lu Yan on the shoulder, smiling like a cat that had just stolen some cream: "It's a good thing to have a girl you like, why are you hiding it? Mom isn't old-fashioned, you can't stop me, can you?"

Lu Yan turned around, his brows furrowing slightly: "How did you know it was a girl?"

"Nonsense! If you're not a girl, do you prefer men?" Madam Lu's words seemed increasingly suspicious as she looked her son up and down with a hint of doubt. Could he really be a man?

Lu Yan was speechless for a long time after his mother's unexpected question. He turned his face away and said in a muffled voice, "Mom, can you be serious for once?"

"How am I being indecent?" Mrs. Lu put her hands on her hips and laughed even harder.

"My son has grown up and has someone he likes. What's wrong with a mother showing concern? Besides, for a girl to make you, such a stubborn tree, bloom, she must be extraordinary!"

So what if she's special? I'm not the one by her side right now!

He turned and headed for the stairs, his voice muffled: "I'm going to deal with the documents."

"Hey, hey, don't rush off!" Mrs. Lu chased after her. "Who exactly is that girl? What does she do? Where does she live? Does she have a boyfriend?"

A barrage of questions came at him, and Lu Yan paused, his expression darkening as he thought of the man laughing and talking with Liu Yunshu at the airport: "I don't know."

"Don't you know?" Mrs. Lu pursed her lips. "Don't you know why you're always running to that flower shop? Let me tell you, Lu Yan, if you like someone, you have to take the initiative. Back when your father was pursuing me..."

"Mom!" Lu Yan interrupted her, exasperated. "I know, please stop talking."

Madam Lu rolled her eyes as she watched her son flee in disarray. "With your spineless personality, you'll never win a girl's heart!"

At this moment, Mrs. Lu was unaware that Mr. Lu was quite the smooth talker when it came to certain matters.

Lu Yan sat silently at his desk, staring intently at the photos on the computer screen.

The photo shows Liu Yunshu bending down to trim roses in a flower shop. Sunlight shines through the glass window and falls on her hair, giving it a soft golden edge.

Her lips curved slightly, her fingertips gently pinching a rose thorn, her expression focused and tender. He had secretly taken this photo after he left that day.

Recalling that smile and those soft curves at the airport, Lu Yan felt a surge of anger rise within him. He loosened his tie and his throat bobbed slightly.

Looking at the energetic young man below, I sighed inwardly. It's not even close to completion yet, what's with all the energy?

I picked up my phone and put it down again, wondering whether I should check her information.

If I rashly investigate, will she be angry if she finds out?

Lu Yan hovered his fingertip over the phone screen for a long time before finally turning it off.

He leaned back in his chair, gazing at the darkening sky outside the window, his brows slightly furrowed.

"Liu Yunshu..."

The usually decisive and efficient CEO of the Lu Group experienced this for the first time.

cinema

Liu Yunshu watched a movie with her younger brother.

"Wow~ This emotional value is like a rollercoaster! I'm so curious about what the target is imagining!"

Xiao Ba's curiosity was piqued as he watched the fluctuating data.

Liu Yunshu stared at the explosion on the screen, a knowing smile playing on her lips: "He's jealous."

"Jealous? Jealous of whom?" Xiao Ba was completely confused. "Are you jealous of Liu Yunfan? But he's your brother!"

"But I never said Yunfan was my brother!"

"Host! You did this on purpose?!"

Liu Yunshu chuckled softly, popped a piece of popcorn into her mouth, and mumbled, "What else? Free vinegar, might as well eat it."

Wow! The sci-fi movies in this world are really good!

"Doesn't he even bother to check? Don't domineering CEOs always investigate someone's entire family history, down to three generations?"

Xiao Ba muttered to herself, even the data stream seemed confused, "It's been almost a day, and he still doesn't even know if you're single or not. This is so unpredictable!"

Liu Yunshu munched on popcorn, her eyes glued to the screen. "Did you learn this from another short drama?"

"Ahem!" Xiao Ba coughed awkwardly.

"Investigating someone's information without their permission is a violation of their privacy. This shows he understands the law and respects people. Watch fewer of those short dramas next time!"

Xiao Ba pouted, looking aggrieved: "But don't all those domineering CEOs do that? What if we miss out because of a misunderstanding?"

Liu Yunshu held a piece of popcorn between her fingertips, slowly putting it into her mouth, her voice tinged with amusement: "Miss it? Do you think I'd let him miss it?"

Seeing its host engrossed in the movie again, Xiao Ba muttered under its breath, "Lu Yan, don't let this cooked duck fly away! Stay put and let your host devour you!"

Lu Yan: Hahaha!

Since that day, Lu Yan has never been to the flower shop again.

"Is the duck about to fly away? Wait a minute, the sentiment value is still at 20%."

Xiao Ba looked at the screen, touched his chin with his little hand, and looked puzzled.

Liu Yunshu was slowly repotting a pot of Phalaenopsis orchids when she heard this. Without even looking up, she said, "Don't worry, it won't fly away. Men are like that; it's normal for them to throw a little tantrum."

She held a small shovel between her fingertips and filled the flowerpot with moist potting soil.

"But we really need to get started, or I'll starve to death."

Liu Yunshu patted the dirt off her hands, and as she straightened up, her waist drew an alluring curve under her cheongsam.

"Xiao Ba, check Lu Yan's schedule for tonight."

"Why are you checking his itinerary? Didn't you say that you can't investigate someone without their permission?"

Liu Yunshu straightened up, flicked its little head, and said, "Don't you understand the saying 'extraordinary people use extraordinary methods'?"

Xiao Ba rubbed his head, which had been flicked, and thought to himself, "Why don't you just admit you're being hypocritical?"

Although Xiao Ba was inwardly complaining, his hands moved quickly, and he pulled up the schedule in a few seconds: "Found it! Found it! Lu Yan and his friends are going to a bar party tonight."

"A bar?" Liu Yunshu raised an eyebrow, tapping her fingertip lightly on the windowsill. "That's a nice place."

Xiao Ba leaned closer, its data stream pulsating nervously: "Host, are you going to the bar to ambush him?"

"How awful to hear 'block'," Liu Yunshu said, turning back into her room to change her clothes, her voice tinged with amusement. "I'm going to 'accidentally' meet someone."
