Baron Cullen

Chapter 8 Meditation

At that moment, Lamont took a crystal bottle out of his pocket.

The bottle contained a dark red liquid resembling amber, with faint, stardust-like particles floating within it.

"This is a warrior's secret medicine. Take it and come with me to the Hall of Standing Stone."

Karen took the crystal bottle, her pupils contracting slightly.

The bottle felt warm to the touch, as if you could sense the turbulent energy it contained.

This secret medicine that can enable mortals to step into the realm of the extraordinary is indeed miraculous.

He took a deep breath and followed Lamont's footsteps.

The Hall of Standing Stones is located in the heart of the warband's base.

The hall was quite spacious, with thick stone slabs paving the floor and rough murals on the walls depicting ancient wars and warriors fighting giant beasts, exuding a wild and ancient atmosphere.

In the center of the hall stands a huge stone tablet nearly three people tall.

The stone tablet is dark blue-green and its surface is covered with traces of wind and rain erosion, but it is well preserved overall.

The monument is covered with ancient runes and patterns that are difficult to decipher, the most striking of which is a relief of a giant holding a giant axe and roaring to the sky.

Although the face of the bas-relief figure was blurred, it faintly exuded a fierce and overwhelming fighting spirit.

Simply standing in front of the stone, Karen felt an invisible pressure descend upon her, and the blood in her body seemed to flow faster.

At this time, there were several other members of the battle group in the hall, who seemed to be there for their daily meditation or to prepare for their promotion.

Seeing the deputy commander personally leading in a stranger, everyone couldn't help but cast curious glances.

"That's Karen Waller? The young baron who single-handedly saved the day on the trial bench!"

"They are indeed young, but I don't know how talented they are."

"Since the vice-commander personally brought the awakening, it shouldn't be bad."

Lamont ignored the discussions of the surrounding chapter members and turned to Karen, saying, "Sit on the futon in front of the standing stone, drink the secret medicine, adjust your breathing, clear your mind, and try to sense the aura emanating from the standing stone."

Remember, whatever you feel, you have to bear it!

Once meditation begins, it cannot be stopped.

Karen nodded, walked to the worn-out old futon in front of the standing stone, and sat down cross-legged.

He then pulled out the stopper from the crystal bottle and drank the dark red elixir inside, which had a pungent smell.

The moment it went down his throat, he felt as if he had swallowed a raging fire!

The scalding medicinal power flowed down his esophagus into his stomach, and then exploded like a raging torrent of wild and violent energy that surged through his entire body.

Intense pain swept over him, as if every inch of his muscle was being torn apart and every bone was being ground down.

At the same time, the standing stone began to emit a crimson light.

The light seemed to be drawn by something, rushing wildly into his body.

The light mixed with the power emanating from the secret medicine within him, making the process of destruction and reconstruction even more intense.

Karen gritted her teeth and tried to concentrate, attempting to guide the raging energy within her body using the method Lamont had mentioned earlier.

The veins on his forehead bulged, and sweat gradually soaked his clothes.

Under his persistent guidance, the violent energy within his body continuously merged into his meridians, flesh, and bones.

At this point, Karen tried to perceive as Lamont had instructed.

At first, he could only feel an invisible pressure constantly pressing down on him from all around.

But as he concentrated more and more, he suddenly felt a warm sensation in his right eye!

He did not resist; instead, he guided the warm current into the rampaging power of the secret medicine and extraordinary elements within his body.

Intense pain instantly overwhelmed Karen's senses.

He groaned, and his body began to tremble uncontrollably.

Just as he felt his body was about to burst and his consciousness was gradually fading, the mysterious rune deep in his right eye suddenly trembled!

A cool sensation instantly flowed through his body, protecting his heart and internal organs, and clearing his confused mind.

In his mind's eye, he seemed to see the violent energy within him being systematically regulated.

But the next moment, the scene before my eyes suddenly changed!

He felt as if he had been pulled into an ancient battlefield, where a gigantic phantom, exuding an aura of immense power and war, was looking down upon him.

"What...is that?!"

Karen suppressed the surging fighting spirit that inexplicably welled up within her and muttered to herself.

However, the moment his gaze met that of the enormous phantom, his right eye began to tremble violently, and the mysterious runes suddenly emitted an indescribable and strange sensation!

The feeling was as if he and that huge phantom had some kind of strange resonance!

My right eye began to tremble slightly uncontrollably, and at the same time, a tearing pain surged through me.

boom!

An ancient and violent power, like a volcano that had been dormant for many years, suddenly awakened and erupted from the depths of his body.

He seemed to hear a roar from ancient times, a sound like rolling thunder that struck his soul!

Immediately afterwards, an unfamiliar name forcefully entered his mind and was deeply imprinted therein.

God of War, Ottar!

Outside, Lamont and the surrounding members of the warband only saw Karen's body suddenly tremble, and a visible blood-red aura suddenly erupted around him!

A chilling sense of oppression spread out from him.

Although the oppressive feeling was very weak, it caused several low-level battleband members who were relatively close to instinctively take a half step back, and even the extraordinary elements flowing autonomously within their bodies paused for a moment.

"He seems to be ending his meditation! That was fast! How much time has it been?" a member of the battle group couldn't help but exclaim.

"This is... a successful awakening?" A member of the battle group exclaimed in disbelief, seemingly unable to believe what he was seeing. "Could it be that this kid is about to complete his awakening right after finishing his meditation?"

A glint of light flashed in Lamont's eyes.

He stared intently at Karen, keenly sensing the gradually stabilizing aura emanating from the latter, as well as that unique fluctuation.

"Could this kid really be a genius?"

Karen was unaware of the outside world's reaction.

All he knew was that as the roar that had struck his soul subsided, the excruciating pain within him receded like a receding tide.

Instead, there is an unprecedented sense of fulfillment and power.

He could clearly feel strands of hot and solid energy flowing slowly through his meridians, constantly strengthening his flesh and bones.

It worked!

At that moment, he suddenly felt something new appear in his mind.

After a careful examination, he was surprised to discover that he had actually mastered a special ability!

It is an ability that can intimidate the enemy's mind, even briefly interfere with the operation of the extraordinary elements in their body, and at the same time greatly enhance one's own physical functions.

After digesting the unfamiliar knowledge in his mind, he finally learned the name of this ability.

"War Roar!"
