Baron Cullen

Chapter 92 Vampires

Karen and the others' shouts were like a bucket of cold water poured over his head, jolting Tyrone, who was in a daze of passion, back to his senses.

He instinctively stopped and looked back in the direction from which the sound came, a hint of guilt and annoyance flashing across his face.

"Damn it! How did that kid find his way here!" he cursed under his breath.

The frustration of having his good time interrupted deepened his dislike for Karen.

Ella, who was walking ahead, also stopped.

She turned around, and the pitiful expression on her face vanished instantly, replaced by a look of displeasure at being disturbed and a hint of urgency.

She said softly, "Lord Tyrell, your companion... seems to be looking for you..."

"Why don't you... go and take a look first?"

Her words seemed considerate, but a hint of dark red flickered deep in her eyes, carrying a sense of urging.

With her prey about to be devoured, she didn't want to cause any unnecessary trouble.

Tyron looked at the wooden house so close by and the graceful figure standing in front of it, then at the approaching footsteps and the continuous shouts of his teammates behind him.

He struggled internally for a moment, but in the end, his guilty conscience prevailed.

He forced a smile at Ella: "Ms. Ella, I'm sorry... my team members might need to see me, I have something to do."

Please wait here a moment, I...I'll be right there to find you!

A flicker of disappointment and icy killing intent flashed in Ella's eyes, but she maintained her gentle demeanor: "Yes, Lord Tyrion, I... will wait for you."

She bowed slightly, her movements still exuding that alluring charm.

Tyrone was itching with desire, but he had no choice but to turn around and walk towards the direction of Karen's voice, cursing Karen and the others countless times in his mind.

Karen and her four teammates quickly found Tyron.

They saw Tyrone emerge from the bushes at the west end of the village, his clothes seemingly disheveled.

"Captain, are you alright?" Jack was taken aback. "How did you end up so far away?"

Kelly and the others watched their captain quietly, their eyes filled with curiosity.

Karen strode forward, her sharp eyes scanning the direction Tyrone had come from.

The mysterious runes deep within his right eye trembled slightly, and his gaze pierced through the layers of bushes, clearly seeing the dilapidated wooden house.

And around that room, there was a dense, almost tangible, dark mist!

Then, he noticed the seemingly frail woman standing at the doorway.

From this peculiar perspective, he instantly gained complete insight into everything inside the woman's body...

An extremely complex extraordinary circuit, with extraordinary elements flowing through each path like black water!

At this point, Tyronn spoke up irritably, "What could I possibly be doing? I'm just taking a walk and surveying the terrain! Is there any need to make such a fuss?"

He deliberately raised his voice to cover up his guilty conscience.

But Karen completely ignored Tyron's words.

He stared intently at Ella, the widow who was slowly retreating into the cabin from behind the bushes, and who was also staring at him.

Clearly, the other party had also noticed something unusual about him.

Karen asked in a deep voice, "Captain, do you know that woman?"

"You...what did you say?!" Tyron shuddered, his pupils involuntarily shrinking. "I...I just saw her when I was passing by. What are you trying to say?"

"What I mean is... there's something wrong with that woman!" Karen's right hand was already on the hilt of her sword behind her.

"Hey! What are you doing?!" Tyron suddenly raised his voice as if his sore spot had been touched. "Karen, don't try to scare us!"

What problem could that woman have? She's just a poor widow!

I think you're deliberately trying to make things difficult for me!

Meanwhile, Ella, standing at the door of the cabin, seemed to realize that she could no longer keep up the pretense.

She let out a sharp, eerie laugh, and her body began to undergo strange changes…

Her skin turned pale, her fingernails turned black and grew longer, her canine teeth protruded sharply, and her eyes turned a bloodthirsty dark red!

Then, she began to emanate an extraordinary aura mixed with the smell of blood!

"I didn't expect you to see through me... You're such a nuisance!" Ella's voice turned icy cold. "I was originally planning to enjoy that man slowly first..."

But since you've all come to our doorstep, then you might as well become nourishment for your master!

Ella's sudden change left Tyron, who was initially quite annoyed, speechless and stunned on the spot.

The color drained from his face instantly, and he stared in disbelief at the woman who had been pitiful just a moment ago but now looked like a demon!

Suddenly, a chill ran from the soles of his feet straight up to the top of his head.

He then realized how close he had been to death!

If Karen and the others hadn't arrived in time...

At this moment, Jack and his two companions reacted extremely quickly, drawing their weapons the instant they saw Ella's figure change.

They shielded Maria behind them, staring intently at Ella, who had revealed her true form.

"Was that strange aura in the village your doing?" Karen stepped forward, drawing her enchanted greatsword from behind her, her gaze calmly fixed on Ella. "Are you a member of the Arcane Order?"

"So what if it is?" Ella grinned, a hint of surprise flashing in her crimson eyes. "But how did you know that name?"

Upon hearing this, Karen's heart immediately tightened.

He guessed from the dark red energy that constantly swirled around Ella after her transformation that she was probably connected to arcane magic.

Just like Bastian before him, it is estimated that he used a scroll containing some kind of blood magic.

Now that he had received confirmation from the other party, his expression immediately darkened.

The Secret Spell Society has indeed infiltrated the City of No Breath in secret!

But Bastian was just the first step.

"You think I'd tell you?" Karen sneered. "So, the person behind Bastian Jim is one of yours too."

"Bastien Jim...?" Ella seemed to be recalling something, then suddenly realized, "Oh! You mean that priest from that church..."

Yes, we did choose him as a pawn, but unfortunately, he was executed shortly after his identity was exposed. What a foolish fellow!

At this point, she suddenly looked Karen up and down, asking curiously, "You know so much about him, did you catch that idiot?"

However, Karen did not speak again.

He already knew what he wanted to know, and the only thing he needed to do next was to take down the other party in order to extract more information about the Secret Society.

The next moment, he charged towards Ella with his greatsword in hand!

"You've got some nerve!" Ella exclaimed, a smile of excitement spreading across her face. "None of you are leaving here tonight!"

She moved her hands rapidly while chanting obscure incantations.

The rich, extraordinary elements transformed into strands of dark red energy that rapidly gathered in front of her, turning into several jet-black tentacles that lashed out at Karen and the others!

"Blood magic again? You really do have that scroll... wait!"

In an instant, Karen abruptly stopped his forward momentum, staring incredulously at Ella, whose body was shimmering with a scarlet blood-red light.

He originally thought this woman was like Bastian before, someone who, although connected to the Secret Society, was at most just an outsider.

But at this moment, his right eye could see everything inside the other person's body with perfect clarity, including all the subtle changes that occurred when the attack was launched.

The originally dark extraordinary elements instantly transformed into dark red energy, and the blood magic that was finally formed was actually cast by that woman!

Karen was utterly horrified.

He was completely wrong about that!

The woman before him was completely different from Bastian, who could only cast blood magic using scrolls.

But this woman could easily unleash it using the extraordinary elements within her own body.

And those who can cast blood magic without the aid of scrolls…

Only vampires!
