The dream of becoming a Pokémon master
126. Full Moon
Looking at the vibrant scene before him, Kyosuke suspected that the overlord Nidoking had taken him to the wrong place.
There was no black ash, no open space, and the eerie tree that had been half-disappeared and half-survived was gone.
There were only trees, lawns, and a large flock of finches and a few big-billed finches flying in the sky.
The chirping of birds confirmed the reality of everything for Kyosuke.
"This, this...this is...how could this be..." Kyosuke looked at the overlord Nidoran, his voice trembling, and he could barely speak.
Without approaching the territory of the Great Sparrow again, the overlord Nidoran returned to his own territory with Kyosuke.
"You mean, a mysterious Pokémon brought life back to that barren land, and a flock of Finch that migrated from other places took over the place, so you also ceded your territory to them?" After listening to the story of the overlord Nidoking, Kyosuke sorted out his thoughts and repeated.
Nidoking, the overlord, nodded.
Kyosuke sat on a rock, propping his head up with his hand, feeling a little sad.
Although that area is still the territory of the Great Toucan, the Great Toucan there are not the same Great Toucan as before.
Perhaps this is the best possible ending.
Kyosuke thought of the ghosts of the two big-mouthed sparrows from before.
The phoenixes hatched several times and grew up successfully. I really hope they can see this.
Thankfully, I didn't bring Huang'er along.
Kyosuke really couldn't explain her parents' situation.
"Are those my parents?"
"They've just taken over your parents' nest."
It's cruel just to think about it.
Let her grow up properly, that's enough.
However, the mysterious Pokémon...
Kyosuke has some guesses about the mysterious being mentioned by the overlord Nidoking.
Could it be?
The sky gradually darkened.
Kyosuke and the overlord Nidoking were standing next to the black boulder.
It wasn't just the two of them; many Nidokings and Nidoqueens gathered around, along with some newborn Nidoran babies, but not Nidorino or Nidorina.
After eating a little something, Kyosuke didn't know if the Pokémon at home had eaten and rested on time.
I wait quietly until the sun sets and the moon rises.
Of course, Kyosuke didn't see the moon; he just guessed that the moon was very round today.
A faint glow of blood seeped from the surrounding dark woods, the cold color possessing an unusual beauty.
The Nidoking and Nidoqueen on both sides silently watched the boulder and the poisonous spikes on it, without making a sound. Only the wind continued to blow, tearing the light and shadow apart and playing nature's music with the leaves.
There were no trees blocking the way above the poisonous stinger, but there were also no stars or moon.
Kyosuke didn't keep looking at the poisonous stinger in the center; instead, he observed his surroundings.
The light and shadow are moving.
Kyosuke discovered that the trace of moonlight slowly, slowly, stretched out a ribbon with black and white gaps towards the direction of the poison sting.
Then, the moon finally appeared before Kyosuke's eyes.
The phases of the moon over the past two weeks were all incorporated into this moment. Kyosuke watched the moon appear: new moon, crescent moon, first quarter moon, waxing gibbous moon, full moon, and then, the moon reached the very center of this small patch of sky, directly above Poison Sting.
"Nido!" Stinger suddenly roared, and white light began to emanate from his body!
Its body rapidly expanded, its forelimbs stood upright, the horns on its head became even larger, and a long tail appeared behind it!
The moon disappeared, and the white light revealed a giant purple beast before Kyosuke's eyes!
The gaping maw revealed sharp fangs, and the two large ears were also adorned with spikes. The spots from the Nidorino era had all faded, but the spikes on the back remained!
Tough skin, strong limbs, powerful tail, and venomous horns—this is Nidoking!
Kyosuke spread his arms wide and charged at the poison stinger!
Poison Sting also jumped off the boulder and ran towards Kyosuke, rushing into his arms!
Holding the poisonous thorn, Kyosuke was too excited to speak.
Nidoran kept shouting.
"Nido Nido!"
"You want to change your name? Isn't Stinger better?" Kyosuke asked, looking at Nidoking.
King Nidoran shook his head: "Nido Nido Nido Nido!"
"Didn't I tell you that a name that's too long is no good?!" Kyosuke was getting a little frustrated. "Even if it's evolved, it's still no good! This isn't about strength or evolution, okay?!"
The Nidorans around them looked at Kyosuke and his Nidoking, laughed, and then silently retreated.
"Nido Nido!"
"No, no!"
"Nido nido nido!"
"Not too long! Poison King, let's go with Poison King." After discussing for a long time without reaching a consensus, Kyosuke directly used his trainer's rights to decide on the new name.
"Nido? Nido!" King Nido thought for a moment and accepted it.
Standing beside the boulder, looking at this magical stone, and gently stroking it with his hand, Kyosuke finally sensed that something was amiss!
I took off my backpack, took out the Moonstone, and carefully felt the texture of it. These two should be the same thing!
This large rock is a giant moonstone!
Shocked, they looked at Nidoking, who nodded, confirming Kyosuke's guess.
However, when Poison King was still Nidorino, it didn't evolve when it stood on it, and the evolution stone didn't get any smaller!
Is this usable by all Pokémon that require a Moon Stone to evolve, or only by Nidoran Pokémon?
Or perhaps even the Nido race has various conditions?
Considering the large number of Nidoking and Nidoqueen I've seen before, it's true that if the Moon Stone is reusable, it's certainly possible to achieve this.
But if only one can evolve during a full moon, that's too slow, isn't it?
Sensing Kyosuke's confusion, Nidoking, the Overlord, walked to a tree and pulled out a large number of Moon Stones from behind it.
Okay, never mind. Kyosuke has submitted to the overlord Nidoking.
However, everything about Pokémon is still full of unknowns for humans.
Many questions are worth exploring.
For example, how did those Pokémon evolve before fossils were discovered?
How do wild Pokémon that need to evolve through communication appear?
There's also intimacy evolution...
Kyosuke thought of that chubby dog that loved to sing again.
I don't know where it is now.
And this amazing evolution stone.
Kyosuke originally just wanted to bring Nidorino to Viridian Forest to go home and evolve it, but he didn't expect to encounter such an interesting problem. It was as if he had returned to the state of helping out at Oak's lab, with his mind full of questions about the Pokémon world.
Kyosuke fell into thought, forgetting everything around him.
The dominant Nidoking also took the newly evolved Nidoking Poison King to have a "communication" between father and son, leaving Kyosuke alone here.
"vi~vi~"
A voice woke Kyosuke up.
I opened my eyes, and a Pokémon appeared before me: "You are...?"
