Ancient Wizards: A Little Progress Every Day

Dago is currently in a place called the "Howling Mountains".

Evaqui contacted the location of their meeting, which was a primitive tribe deep in the Howling Mountains.

Evaque couldn't describe the exact location, only telling him to keep walking deep into the Howling Mountains until he saw a forest entirely composed of moon trees, then he would have found the place.

The moon tree doesn't have a specific shape; its only characteristic is that it glows under moonlight. So, to make it easier to find, Dago decided to wait until the moon came out before continuing his journey.

He figured they were almost there.

As usual, Dago first sensed the "symbiotic" state between himself and Tracy.

Compared to five days ago, the connection between the two seemed to have become even stronger, and there was no sign that it would gradually weaken over time, as Dago had predicted.

Dago speculated that if this continued, their souls might merge further, eventually becoming indistinguishable and giving birth to a "completely new" individual.

This is something he absolutely does not want to see, but he has no way to solve or even contain it.

The only good news is that Tracy's situation is worse than his.

Although he and Tracy "coexisted" in a symbiotic relationship, his strength remained largely intact.

On the other hand, Tracy, for some unknown reason, had almost lost all her fighting ability. She was unable to use her bloodline, magic, or even mental power.

All that remains is the robust physique brought by the phoenix bloodline, which makes him slightly stronger than an ordinary person, but not even as strong as a skilled wizard apprentice.

Despite his best efforts, Dago, with his current mental strength as a mid-level third-tier wizard (in fact, more than ten times stronger than that of a typical mid-level third-tier wizard), still could not achieve the so-called "absolute balance".

Dago has done his best to keep the two spells as powerful as possible, but they are still far from the delicate state of "absolute balance".

The second requirement was that Dago's first thought was to use mental power as a "neutral party," but the effect was not obvious. He had considered trying to use soul power, but given his current shallow understanding and control over soul power, this was even more of a pipe dream.

Suddenly, a hazy light entered Dago's eyes.

Dago's eyes flickered slightly as he quickly parted the layers of bushes in front of him, immediately captivated by the scene before him.

In a forest of needle-like trees, every tree seemed to be "shining," emitting a hazy, moonlit light that created a dreamlike and beautiful scene.

"Moon Tree!"

Dago was overjoyed. Based on Evaque's description, these must be the Moon Trees.

Clearly, he had entered the area agreed upon with Evaque.

Dago quickly walked deeper into the Moon Forest, while Tracy gradually distanced herself from him.

Dago initially thought she was captivated by the beautiful scenery of the Moon Forest, but when he turned around, he found her covered in sweat and struggling to walk.

Its two feet were covered with countless glowing "spiky" spikes.

Having practiced asceticism and physical training for many years, Dago is almost immune to this minor pain.

Dago's eyes flickered slightly. The black spiked arrow changed direction, emitted an even louder shriek than before, and then disappeared again.
