Ancient Wizards: A Little Progress Every Day

Chapter 424 The Number One Genius in the South is Just Dago's Starting Point

Farin Lyonledo walked through the magnificent palace adorned with gold and silver patterns, and along the way, wizards dressed in the robes of the Arcane Workshop greeted him one by one.

Farin kept walking, even quickening his pace, his expression showing some tension and urgency, as if he was eager to see someone extremely important.

When they reached the entrance of a quiet courtyard, Farin slowed down.

A beautiful blonde witch with a large expanse of white skin standing at the entrance greeted Farin.

"Is he inside?"

Farin asked, and the blonde witch nodded and whispered, "They bought a large quantity of healing potions from us. I didn't have time to ask you, so I sold them to him at half cost."

"He's injured? You should just give it to him. The Arcane Workshop isn't short of magic stones."

Farin frowned, then looked at the blonde witch, his gaze quickly sweeping over the white skin deliberately exposed on her chest. He moved his lips slightly and asked a few questions.

A faint blush appeared on the blonde witch's face, and she shook her head helplessly.

Farin waved his hand, signaling the blonde witch to leave, then straightened his appearance and slowly stepped into the courtyard.

This is a rather beautiful and elegant little courtyard, filled with all kinds of colorful luminous plants. In the corner of the courtyard is a still pond with several clusters of golden water lilies floating on it, and some small magical planktonic creatures swimming happily under the lotus leaves.

A gray stone round table was placed by the pool, with several transparent crystal balls of different colors scattered on it, refracting some changing light and shadow.

From the moment he stepped into the courtyard, Farin's gaze was fixed on a figure in front of the round table.

He was a man dressed in a black robe with silver trim, his head slightly lowered. His youthful and handsome features were visible, but the white hair falling over his shoulders gave him an air of inexplicable vicissitude.

Farin's eyes flickered when he saw the young man. He took a deep breath and strode over.

"Dago".

Approaching the young man, Farin softly called out his name.

The young man looked up, and the moment their eyes met, Farin's gaze suddenly went blank and he seemed lost in thought. It wasn't until the other man called his name that Farin recovered from his daze.

"you."

Farin stared at the young man in disbelief, his eyes filled with shock and disbelief.

He tried to calm himself down before forcing a smile and saying, "Long time no see, Dago."

Farin sat down at the round table. "A year ago, Evaque left a magic stone at the Arcane Workshop and asked me to arrange a trip to the Central Region for one of his friends. I never expected that the person he was talking about was you."

"When can I leave?"

Farin was taken aback; the other party's direct question had disrupted his plans.

"The teleportation array and airship are already prepared, but you can stay a few more days. Our Arcane Workshop..."

"I'm afraid it won't work this time."

The young man interrupted Farin in a low voice, his tone calm but revealing an undeniable firmness.

"Next time, Farin. There are some things I need to deal with immediately."

Farin paused for a moment, recalling what his blonde witch had mentioned about the other party purchasing healing potions.

Before coming, he had prepared many things that the other party might be interested in in order to plan the "hospitality" for the next few days, but now it seems that none of them are of any use.

"All right."

Farin asked helplessly, "When do you plan to leave?"

"The sooner the better."

The young man paused for a moment, then said, "It would be best to do it immediately."

"Then I'll take you there now."

Farin stood up and led the other person out of the courtyard to a grand hall heavily sealed off by restrictions. Only after watching the other person's figure completely disappear in the center of the rune array did he let out a long sigh of loss.

"Clatter—"

Light footsteps sounded, and a figure slowly walked to Farin's side.

Upon seeing the visitor, Farin immediately bowed and respectfully greeted, "Teacher."

The newcomer was a handsome middle-aged wizard, radiating a brilliance like the rising sun. He wore a rather luxurious robe, and his hair was adorned with many crystals and gemstones.

"Is he the rumored Dago Heca?"

The middle-aged wizard looked at the empty teleportation array, which was in a cooling-off state, and spoke calmly.

"Yes."

Farin nodded, then gave a wry smile and said, "He's become even stronger compared to when he was in the Wizards' championship game."

"When I first met him, I almost felt the same way you did when you guided me into the world, and I looked up at the starry sky from the air."

"If I were to face him now, even if I used the Forbidden Blade, I would probably be defeated in a single exchange."

"That's because you haven't yet unleashed the true power of the 'Forbidden Blade'."

The middle-aged wizard shook his head, then added, "However, this Dago Heca does indeed possess many qualities that are beyond the reach of ordinary people. He seemed to have sensed my presence just now and has been very wary of the direction in which I am hiding."

"Well!"

Farin froze, and in disbelief, turned his head to look again in the direction Dago had left.

"He is hailed as a once-in-a-century prodigy in the southern wizarding world. Even the wizard Rona of the Star School greatly admires him. It is said that his background is extremely ordinary, so it is truly incredible that he has achieved this level."

The middle-aged wizard turned to look at Farin and said calmly, "If you want to befriend someone like that, instead of going to great lengths to flatter and fawn over them, you should improve your knowledge and strength so that they will willingly acknowledge you."

Farin looked ashamed. "Teacher."

"Actually, you have great talent."

The middle-aged wizard gently placed his hand on Farin's forehead and said softly, "You're just wasting too much energy on irrelevant things. I'll transfer those women around you. Some things are best enjoyed when you're young; don't get too obsessed with them."

"Yes, yes."

The middle-aged wizard pondered for a moment, then said, "I have secured an opportunity for you to study in the central region. You will depart in six months."

"The miracle is yet to come, everything is just beginning, Farin. You may very well surpass those who are currently far behind you."

Upon hearing this, Farin's expression brightened, but after a moment, he became somewhat bewildered and bitter.

"Teacher, someone like Dago, who is exceptionally talented, inherited the legacy of the legendary wizard Isidore, and is backed by the Omnipotent Ring, do I really have a chance to stand shoulder to shoulder with him?"

"You think he's had a great life?"

The middle-aged wizard sneered, glanced at Farin, and said indifferently, "The Omnipotent Ring is notorious for its numerous factions, and its internal situation is no exaggeration to say that it is a hundred times more complex than our Arcane Workshop."

"Dago's starting line might not even be as good as yours this time."

"Well!"

Farin was immediately taken aback.
