Ancient Wizards: A Little Progress Every Day
Chapter 439 The Golden Spirit Insect Descends
A surge of passion welled up in Dago's heart. He took a deep breath, wielded his battle axe, and once again took the initiative to meet the attack.
The surging blood within him converged into the sound of churning ocean waves, the blue snails wailing. Dago, like an ancient demon emerging from the depths of the abyss, treading on the waves, streaked across the void in a dark arc, instantly closing in on the dark silver dragon.
He clasped his hands together, wielding the giant axe in a gesture of worship, as countless arcs of flame descended, releasing an ancient and terrifying pressure.
This time, he aimed at the neck of the dark silver dragon. As the battle axe drew a mysterious arc and struck down, the dragon, whose claw he had just severed, roared in anger.
Immediately following, the massive dragon body trembled violently, and thick, silvery-white thorns rapidly grew from its majestic, undulating back, resembling a mountain range.
"Boom!"
The power unleashed by this collision was unprecedented. Dago felt as if he had struck an indestructible mountain. The terrifying recoil swept over him, instantly causing the flesh on his arms and chest to explode. He was sent flying backward at high speed, finally crashing heavily onto a huge stone statue with a loud "boom".
"cough--"
Dago struggled to his feet from the dent in the statue, only to find that the human-shaped statue was blocking his way again. The cracks on the statue seemed to have increased, and it was on the verge of collapse.
A huge chip has appeared on the blade of the ancient battle axe, which is formed from black "spirit," and it is slowly being repaired.
Dago's eyes widened in alarm. Looking into the distance, he was shocked to find that the dark silver tailless dragon seemed to be in a state of extreme rage. Its entire body was colliding in a large circle, its wings were spread, and countless streams of air surged around it.
He overestimated himself.
Or rather, he underestimated his opponent.
Having survived to this day in the long-lost Temple of Spirits, and being a legendary dragon in life, how could it be any ordinary being?
The furious tailless dragon's scales seemed to have become much brighter and shinier, but the aura it exuded had become even more gloomy. When Dago was locked onto by those dark yellow dragon eyes, he felt a strong sense of unease for no reason.
Time seemed to rewind to the moment when he was being chased by the other person.
"roar!"
As the thorny tailless dragon flapped its wings and flew toward Dago, one word immediately flashed through Dago's mind—"Run!"
The ancient battle axe shattered, and its surging power re-integrated into Dago's body. He no longer wanted to make a final attempt; preserving some fighting strength to escape and delay was the wise choice at present.
"Bang!"
A huge silver meteor slammed into the humanoid stone statue behind Dago, who then fled in disarray from the shattered sand and gravel.
Before I could even turn around to look, I felt myself being locked onto by an intense killing intent.
His scalp tingled, and with a determined effort, he charged directly toward the stone statue of the Dragon Shaman, Bahafus.
Judging from its somewhat "fawning" attitude towards Bahafus, it is highly unlikely that it would dare to directly attack Bahafus's spirit statue.
After all, Bahafus is merely asleep, unlike that ancient, nameless humanoid statue, which is already close to decay and death.
Dago's decision was indeed effective. Even in a state of rage, the tailless dragon still maintained a certain degree of wariness towards the statue of Bahafus. It dared not charge directly at the statue of Bahafus as it would directly charge at the humanoid statue. This gave Dago many breathing room. He circled around the statue of Bahafus to dodge, and for a time, the tailless dragon could not do anything to him.
But dragging it out like this is definitely not a solution, so Dago secretly kept a close eye on Evaque's soul disk.
We're just waiting for Evaque to come out of the trial, whether he succeeds or fails, we'll get him out of this hellhole first.
After a period of maneuvering, the tailless dragon seemed to gradually calm down from its rage, and it suddenly stopped chasing Dago.
Instead of feeling relaxed, Dago had a bad feeling.
The next second, the tailless dragon, which was separated from him by a statue of Bahafus, suddenly turned around and sped off in one direction.
Dago's face immediately turned extremely ugly.
The tailless dragon was heading straight for the location of the Evaque Soul Disk.
This cunning fellow finally remembered how Dargo had "risked his life" to protect the Soul Plate.
"Damn it!"
Dago cursed inwardly, but his body didn't stop for a moment. Black mist surged around him as he pushed the power of the [Ancient Blue Demon Body] to its limit, heading straight for Evaque's Soul Plate.
The blue snail inside his body hummed, and countless thin tubes connected to his entire body emitted a brilliant light.
Under the terrifying pressure of his unleashed potential, Dago actually managed to catch up with the tailless dragon. Perhaps the dragon was deliberately slowing down, waiting for him to walk right into its trap.
Just then, the Soul Disc floated up on its own, and then a vortex-shaped portal of light quietly appeared beneath the huge wolf shaman head statue. In the shadows, one could vaguely see Evaque's figure, unable to contain his excitement and joy.
"Evaque!!"
Dago roared at the figure about to emerge, but a huge dragon-shaped shadow quietly blocked his way.
Dago's pupils contracted sharply, and billowing black mist surged from his body. Before it could even condense into the shape of a battle axe, it was already being violently thrown forward by his punch!
"boom!"
A tremendous explosion rang out, and crimson blood and black mist exploded together.
Dago clutched his broken arm, his body flying backward through the air like a large bird being thrown into the air.
Amidst a deep, chilling dragon roar, a massive dragon shadow surged forward, like a suffocating silver wave, silently and gradually engulfing Dago.
Dago gritted his teeth, staring intently at the ever-widening dark yellow dragon eyes, the contempt and coldness emanating from them sending chills down one's spine.
Dago reached out and grasped an ancient finger bone, the one Evaque had given him.
Within his consciousness, he was also preparing to knock on the "forbidden door" that Despair Winter Dragon had left inside him.
He remained calm.
He had experienced similar desperate situations many times, and no one understood the art of surviving a life-or-death situation better than him.
Just as Dago was preparing to use some of his trump cards, "Click, click—"
A strange sound suddenly came from behind him, like something rapidly collapsing and shattering.
Dago wanted to turn around, but the next second he saw everything that was happening behind him in the eyes of the tailless dragon in front of him.

The oldest and most decaying humanoid shaman statue is now rapidly collapsing.
A dazzling golden light emanated from it; it was a pure, indescribable, surging light of the soul.
Within this light, an exceptionally brilliant golden point of light slowly flew out.
In just a moment, it darted in front of Dago.
Dago saw clearly what was inside the spot of light; it was a very beautiful golden ladybug.
It flew wobbly past Dago, and then—gently landed on the nose of the tailless dragon that had already opened its mouth wide, ready to swallow him whole.
This single action caused the tailless dragon to display an indescribable look of immense fear.
It frantically retreated, almost tumbling and crawling, abandoning Dago, the "duck" that was about to be eaten.
The golden ladybug stopped chasing and flew back to Dago, spreading its wings and shaking them gently.
Beneath its almost transparent wings, a layer of pale golden light was released, quickly enveloping Dago entirely.
In an instant, a torrent of information flooded into Dago's mind, and Dago lost consciousness almost immediately.
Before his consciousness completely faded, he seemed to hear the tailless dragon roar in a fit of rage.
"Arazan Dillingfascola Cakingston".
