Lu Mingfei clearly sensed her hesitation from her subtle expression and quickly explained, "Don't worry! There's absolutely no saliva in this! I made something that melts the snow with sunlight!"

Lu Mingfei suddenly looked up, the glaring sunlight making him squint, but he could clearly see a small silver dot, trailing a faint tail, slowly flying past overhead.

He wasn't an aviation enthusiast and didn't recognize what kind of plane it was.

"Here! We're here!"

"Help! Look down!"

"God! Save us!"

Many people were moved to tears when they saw the plane fly by, believing there was hope of being rescued.

An hour or two later, the roar of engines echoed through the sky again. This time, it was even two planes flying one after the other along roughly the same route.

Deafening shouts erupted again from the ground as people strained with all their might to attract the attention of the pilots in the air.

Lu Mingfei looked up as the two planes completely disappeared from sight, his neck aching. However, he doubted whether those planes could even spot them, considering how high they flew; from the ground, they could only see a tiny black dot.

Whether the pilots could even see them at all, given that the surrounding mountains were covered in black rocks, was truly unknown.

After hesitating for a moment, looking at the crowd around him who were still immersed in excitement, Lu Mingfei couldn't help but whisper his concerns.

"Do you think...they fly so high...they can really see us?"

These words, though spoken softly, were like a bucket of cold water, instantly extinguishing the excitement of some people, and the crowd finally began to calm down.

"That's right. The pilots in the sky may not have seen us at all. If they had really found the crash site, why wouldn't they have circled to observe or descended to confirm? They just flew away..."
