Chapter 27 You are... the Special Advisor?

A black SUV sped through the chaotic streets.

Li Yue gripped the steering wheel tightly, her palms sweaty.

The streets were filled with panicked crowds and vehicles driving in the wrong direction. The sirens, cries, and crashes mingled together, creating a scene reminiscent of the apocalypse.

"Jiangcheng No. 1 Middle School was designated an S-level Mysterious Blood Mist Campus fifteen minutes ago." Li Yue reported quickly while driving, "Internal signals are completely cut off. All exploration personnel who entered, including the A-level Ghost Hunter Lei Bao," have lost contact.

"The school and the surrounding area have been completely sealed off."

"According to the disaster model simulation at headquarters, without intervention, the ghost domain will expand and cover the entire city within three hours."

Lin Che sat in the back seat, expressionless, watching the blood-red sky rushing past the window.

He held Su Hongyi's hand with one hand, and with the other, he was looking at a photo on his phone.

The photo shows a girl with a ponytail, smiling brightly and revealing a pair of cute little tiger teeth.

That's Chen Xue.

"arrive."

Li Yue slammed on the brakes, and the car stopped in front of a blockade line made up of armored vehicles and barbed wire.

Ahead, blinding beams of searchlight illuminated the night as if it were daytime. Fully armed paranormal investigators stood guard at various points along the defensive line, their expressions grave.

Behind the defensive line was a thick, blood-red fog so dense that you couldn't see your hand in front of your face.

That mist was alive. It was slowly churning and writhing, and with each surge, it made everyone present feel a chill run down their spines.

Li Yue presented the highest level of clearance specially approved by Zhang Haifeng.

A man who looked like a captain ran over quickly. He glanced at the pass and then at Lin Che, who was getting out of the car.

"You are—the special advisor?" The man's eyes were filled with suspicion and scrutiny.

too young.

And the woman beside him—

The man's gaze lingered on Su Hongyi for a moment before he averted it as if he'd been electrocuted. He was an experienced B-level agent, and his intuition was screaming wildly, warning him not to look directly at the woman in red.

Lin Che ignored him and walked straight towards the blood mist.

"Wait!" the captain shouted instinctively. "That's an S-class ghost realm inside, with unknown rules and a 100% mortality rate! You're going in now—"

Lin Che's steps did not falter in the slightest.

He took Su Hongyi's hand and stepped into the thick blood mist.

The two figures were instantly swallowed up.

Just one step away, two worlds.

All the noise, alarms, and lights from the outside world disappeared.

Lin Che found himself standing on a familiar campus path. The surrounding school buildings and playground were shrouded in an eerie twilight hue.

The air was filled with the smell of rust and dust.

In the distance, faint sounds of reading could be heard, along with the sobbing of a girl.

Su Hongyi held up her umbrella and looked around curiously.

"It smells better here than outside," she said softly.

Lin Che didn't speak; his gaze was fixed on a teaching building not far away.

The senior high school teaching building.

He pulled Su Hongyi along and walked quickly over.

The corridors of the teaching building were deathly silent; the photos of outstanding students hanging on the walls were all blank.

Lin Che pushed open the half-closed classroom door.

Inside the door, the scene was completely different from the outside.

This is a classroom where a "class" is being held.

Dozens of students in school uniforms sat stiffly in their seats, their faces ashen, not daring to move.

Their faces were filled with extreme fear.

All eyes were focused on the podium at the front of the classroom.

On the platform stood a "person" dressed in a teacher's uniform.

It only has half a head.

From the center of its brow to its chin, the right half of its face, along with its skull, disappeared, leaving only a smooth cut surface from which dark red liquid dripped continuously.

Its only remaining left eye was a hollow black hole, slowly scanning each student below.

On the blackboard, a line of words was written in blood.

Rule 1: Talking is prohibited during class.

Lin Che's gaze swept over the terrified students in the classroom, but he did not spot Chen Xue.

Just then.

A girl sitting in the corner finally broke down.

She covered her mouth tightly with both hands, but the suppressed fear still managed to escape through her fingers as a short scream.

"ah--!"

The moment the sound rang out.

The entire classroom was eerily quiet.

The teacher on the podium, with his half-headed head, suddenly turned his dark eye towards the girl.

There was no attack, no action.

"puff."

A soft sound.

Under the horrified gaze of the entire class, the girl's head exploded silently, turning into a cloud of blood mist.

The headless corpse slowly slumped onto the desk, her books stained crimson with blood.

The other students in the classroom were so frightened that they trembled violently. Some of them had tears and snot streaming down their faces, but they gritted their teeth and dared not make a sound.

The fear of death gripped everyone's throat.

Lin Che's expression remained unchanged.

He pulled Su Hongyi along, and under the watchful eyes of all the students and the half-teacher, walked straight to the empty seats in the last row of the classroom.

He pulled out a chair and sat down.

He pulled out another chair, gesturing for Su Hongyi to sit down as well.

This abrupt action drew all fixed gazes to them.

The surviving students looked at Lin Che as if he were a madman.

The teacher on the podium stopped scanning and stared intently at the uninvited guest with his dark eye socket.

After Su Hongyi sat down, she swung her legs out of boredom. She leaned close to Lin Che's ear and said in a voice that was neither too loud nor too soft, "Husband, this thing is so ugly."

Her voice was exceptionally clear in the deathly silent classroom.

The pupils of all the students dilated instantly.

They're finished!

This woman spoke up! They're going to be implicated too!

However, the expected headshot did not occur.

The half-headed teacher on the podium trembled slightly, and his dark eye moved back and forth between Su Hongyi and Lin Che, as if he had fallen into some kind of rule disorder.

It can sense that someone is speaking.

But its "rules" had no effect on the woman in red.

Lin Che ignored the strange behavior on the podium.

He scanned the students in the classroom again to confirm that Chen Xue was not there.

He stood up.

This action once again attracted everyone's attention.

The teacher's eyes were fixed on him.

Lin Che looked at Su Hongyi and spoke.

His voice, though not loud, clearly carried to every corner of the classroom.

"Getting bored? Let's go somewhere else."

Lin Che's voice echoed in the deathly silent classroom.

Every word was like a heavy hammer blow, striking the fragile nerves of the surviving students.

They're finished.

This thought arose simultaneously in everyone's minds.

The woman in red spoke without triggering any rules; perhaps she was some kind of exception, an existence they couldn't comprehend.

But this man, this seemingly ordinary man, also spoke up!

What is he doing?

provocative!

This is the most blatant provocation against the supreme rules of this classroom!

All the students stared at Lin Che with the look of someone looking at a dead man, their bodies trembling violently with fear, their breaths catching in their throats.
