The Longevity Family: Starting from the Foundation Establishment Ancestor

Chapter 392 Five seasoned veterans bravely venture into the haunted house

Han Mu waited in place for about half an hour. Then, a rumbling sound of footsteps came from afar. The War Emperor, carrying a battle axe that was bigger than his body, jogged over. His bald head was still stained with black Void Beast blood.

"Brother Han, I've finally found you! This place is huge! I've been running around for ages and I still can't see the end." Zhan Di said breathlessly, sitting down on the ground.

"What about the others? Have you made contact with them?" Han Mu asked.

"Old Lei said he's run into some trouble. He's been blocked by a group of Void Beasts. Emperor Yan and Emperor Bing are on their way, but they're quite far away." Emperor Zhan took out the Thunder Mark and looked at it.

"Then let's wait for them. There's strength in numbers, and it's too dangerous to act alone," Han Mu said. This Chaos Abyss was much more dangerous than he had imagined. The Void Beast he had just encountered was just an appetizer; there were definitely stronger beings deeper inside.

"My lord, I have detected a strong energy fluctuation three hundred miles ahead, which is very likely a sign of the birth of a Chaos Treasure." Han Li's voice came from the transmission talisman, and it was clearer than before.

"Three hundred li is not far. We'll go take a look once everyone has arrived," Han Mu said.

Not long after, the Thunder Emperor, the Flame Emperor, and the Ice Emperor arrived one after another. The Thunder Emperor was somewhat disheveled, with several tears in his clothes, clearly having gone through a fierce battle. The Flame Emperor and the Ice Emperor, on the other hand, were in good condition and had not suffered any injuries.

"Everyone's here, let's go." Han Mu led the way towards the direction of the energy fluctuations.

The five of them crossed a gray wasteland, where the bones of Void Beasts and fragments of broken magical artifacts were scattered everywhere. It seemed that many cultivators had come here before, but none of them had made it out alive.

"How many people have died here? There are bones everywhere." The War Emperor crushed a leg bone with a cracking sound.

"The Abyss of Chaos has existed for countless years, and countless cultivators have entered to explore it, but very few have managed to leave alive," the Thunder Emperor sighed.

"Can we get out of here alive?" the War Emperor asked.

"If you keep making such a bad jinx, I guarantee you won't be able to leave," Emperor Yan said irritably.

"I was just asking casually, why are you getting so worked up?" The War Emperor pouted.

Han Mu walked at the front, his Time Law fully activated, sensing the movements around him. Suddenly, he stopped and raised his hand to signal everyone to stop.

"Something's coming, quite a lot," Han Mu said in a deep voice.

As soon as the words were spoken, the ground began to shake, and a cloud of dust rose in the distance. Dozens of Void Beasts rushed out of the dust and charged toward the five people. The leader was a Void Beast of an exceptionally large size, a size larger than its kind, and with a stronger aura, reaching the late stage of the Dominator realm.

"A Void Beast in the late stage of Domination, this is troublesome." Ice Emperor's expression was solemn.

"What are you afraid of? Let's fucking kill them!" The War Emperor swung his battle axe, ready to charge forward.

"Don't be impulsive, there are too many of them, a direct confrontation will only lead to losses." Han Mu stopped the War Emperor and quickly thought of a countermeasure. "Thunder Emperor, use lightning to trap the group on the left. Flame Emperor, use fire to burn the group on the right. Ice Emperor, freeze the group in the middle. War Emperor, you and I will deal with the big one."

"Alright." The four of them attacked at the same time. Thunder Emperor waved his hands, and countless bolts of lightning descended from the sky, forming a curtain of lightning that trapped the Void Beast on the left. Flame Emperor opened his mouth and spewed out a raging fire, which turned into a wall of fire to block the Void Beast on the right. Ice Emperor formed a hand seal, and a chilling aura spread, freezing the Void Beast in the middle into an ice sculpture.

Han Mu and Zhan Di charged at the Void Beast, which was in the late stage of the Dominator realm. Zhan Di swung his axe down, the blade brimming with intense battle intent. The Void Beast raised its front paws to block, sparks flying everywhere, and Zhan Di was forced back three steps.

"What strength!" The War Emperor shook his numb arm.

Taking advantage of the fact that the Void Beast's attention was drawn to the War Emperor, Han Mu circled around to the side and punched the Void Beast in the waist. The power of the Chaos Law erupted, and the Void Beast staggered a few steps, letting out a painful roar.

"It's working! Keep hitting its waist." The War Emperor's eyes lit up, and he charged forward again.

The two worked together seamlessly. The War Emperor held the beast at bay from the front while Han Mu attacked from the side. Although the Void Beast was powerful, it was not very intelligent and was quickly beaten and wounded by the two.

"Brother Han, give it the final blow." The War Emperor swung his axe at the Void Beast's head, leaving it dazed and disoriented.

Han Mu seized the opportunity, summoned the Coffin of Origin, and the phantom image of the coffin lid appeared. It slammed hard onto the head of the Void Beast. With a thud, the Void Beast's head exploded like a watermelon, and black blood splattered all over the ground.

"Beautiful." The War Emperor gave a thumbs up.

The battles of the other three were also nearing their end. The Thunder Emperor's lightning shattered the Void Beast on the left into charcoal, the Flame Emperor's flames burned the Void Beast on the right to ashes, and the Ice Emperor froze the Void Beast in the middle into ice blocks.

"Done. These ugly things are nothing special." The War Emperor said smugly.

"Don't be careless, this is just the appetizer. The real danger is yet to come," Han Mu said. He could feel the energy fluctuations ahead growing stronger.

The five continued onward, traveling for about a hundred miles, until a huge canyon appeared ahead. The canyon was flanked by steep cliffs, which were covered with ancient runes that shimmered with a ghostly light and exuded a mysterious aura.

"There's something strange about this canyon. Those runes are a kind of sealing formation," Han Li's voice came.

"The sealing formation, what is it sealing?" Han Mu asked.

"I don't know, but this formation is of a very high level, at least at the level of a Chaos Lord," Han Li said.

"A seal at the level of a Chaos Lord must contain something extraordinary." Thunder Emperor frowned.

"Perhaps this is the Chaos Treasure we've been searching for." A fiery glint flashed in Emperor Yan's eyes.

"It might be sealing something terrible inside. If it's opened, we'll all be doomed," Hyotei said, pouring cold water on the idea.

"We've come all this way, we can't go back empty-handed," the War Emperor said, eager to try.

Han Mu pondered for a moment and decided to go in and take a look. He was always cautious in his actions, but he would not miss any opportunities. Moreover, he had the Time-Space Compass and the Coffin of Origin, so even if he encountered danger, he was confident that he could escape.

"You can go in, but be careful. If you sense anything is wrong, retreat immediately," Han Mu said.

The five entered the canyon. It was very quiet inside, with only the sound of the wind and their footsteps. As they went deeper, the runes on the walls shone brighter and brighter, as if they were watching their every move.

Reaching the end of the canyon, a vast basin suddenly opens up before you, in the center of which grows a crystal-clear lotus flower, radiating nine colors of light and exuding a rich aura of primordial chaos.

"The Nine-Colored Divine Lotus, a legendary treasure of chaos!" the Thunder Emperor exclaimed, his eyes filled with greed.

"It really is the Nine-Colored Divine Lotus. With it, we can break through to the late stage of the Dominator realm, and even have a chance to challenge the Lord of Chaos." Emperor Yan's breathing became rapid.

Hyotei didn't speak, but a hint of longing flashed in their eyes.

The War Emperor was even more direct, stepping forward to pick the fruit.

"Wait, there's a trap." Han Mu grabbed Zhan Di and pointed to the ground around the Nine-Colored Divine Lotus. There were some fine patterns that could be faintly seen there, which would be impossible to spot if you didn't look closely.

"This is a restriction. Once triggered, the entire basin will be razed to the ground," Han Li said solemnly.

"What should we do then? We can't just stand by and watch our precious baby grow up," the War Emperor said anxiously.

"I'll break the restrictions, you all step back." Han Mu stepped forward and carefully observed the patterns on the ground. Although these restrictions were complex, they had something in common with some of the formations in the Time Guardian's inheritance, and he was confident that he could break them.

Han Mu squatted down and traced runes on the ground with his fingers. Runes flew from his fingertips and merged into the restrictions on the ground. The patterns of the restrictions began to change, and a gap appeared in the originally tight patterns.

"It's done." Han Mu's eyes lit up, and he continued to break through the barrier. It took about the time it takes for an incense stick to burn before he finally opened a gap in the restriction.

"You can go in now, but only one person can enter at a time, otherwise the restriction will be triggered," Han Mu said.

"I'll go first." The War Emperor took the lead and was about to rush in.

"Why should you go first? I arrived first." Emperor Yan stopped Emperor Zhan.

"Stop arguing, take turns, it doesn't matter who goes first or last," Lei Di said, trying to smooth things over.

"Then let's go by age, with the youngest going first," Hyotei suggested.

"Brother Han is definitely the youngest, so he should go first," said the War Emperor.

Han Mu did not refuse and stepped into the gap in the barrier, arriving in front of the Nine-Colored Divine Lotus. Upon closer inspection, the lotus was even more beautiful, with its nine petals displaying nine colors: red, orange, yellow, green, cyan, blue, purple, black, and white, radiating a dreamlike glow.

Han Mu reached out to touch the lotus, but just as his fingers were about to touch the petals, the lotus suddenly burst out with a dazzling light, and a powerful repulsive force pushed him back.

"There is a guardian spirit." Han Mu steadied himself and saw a phantom image appear above the lotus. It was a woman dressed in white with an exquisite appearance, but her eyes were cold and devoid of any emotion.

"Anyone who dares to tamper with the Divine Lotus shall die." The woman in white spoke coldly, raising her hand to strike Han Mu with her palm.
