Han Mu thought his retirement life would continue peacefully, but God clearly didn't want him to be idle.

That noon, Han Mu was fishing by the stream behind the mountain as usual. The float on the water was not moving. He was dozing off with his eyes half-closed. The sun was shining on him, warm and comfortable, so comfortable that he didn't want to move.

Suddenly, the float sank sharply. Han Mu instinctively lifted the rod, the fishing line was taut, and a huge pulling force came from underwater, almost pulling him off the rock.

"Hey, this fish is pretty strong." Han Mu became interested. He was a Transcendent One after all. If he couldn't even catch a fish, wouldn't people laugh at him?

With a surge of power, Han Mu sent a three-foot-long golden fish bursting out of the water. It traced a graceful arc in the air before crashing onto the shore with a splash, its tail slapping the ground and sending up a spray of water.

"Goodness, enough to stew a pot." Han Mu smiled and stepped forward, preparing to pick up the fish, when he suddenly sensed a violent energy fluctuation coming from the edge of the Chaos Sea, more than ten times stronger than the last time.

Han Mu's smile froze on his face. He put down the fish, looked into the distance, and frowned.

"My lord, something terrible has happened! A huge crack has appeared on the edge of the Chaos Sea, much larger than the last one." Han Li's voice came through the communication talisman, filled with unprecedented panic.

"I'm coming right away." Han Mu's figure flashed and disappeared from the spot.

Han Mu rushed to the edge of the Chaos Sea at top speed. The sight before him made him gasp. A crack ten thousand feet long stretched across the edge of the Chaos Sea. A large amount of black mist poured out of the crack. Wherever the mist passed, the laws of chaos were corroded, space collapsed, and countless stars were swallowed up.

Deep within the rift, a pair of enormous red eyes could be vaguely seen, gazing at the chaotic sea through the crack. Those eyes were filled with greed and cruelty, as if they were looking at a delicious dinner.

"What the hell is this?" Han Mu's expression was solemn. He could sense that the being on the other side of the rift was even more powerful than the Heavenly Demon Lord, and not even on the same level.

"My lord, this seems to be the legendary Void Devourer." Han Li's voice trembled.

"Void Devourer, what is that?" Han Mu asked.

"The Void Devourer is one of the most terrifying beings outside of Chaos. It feeds on the origin of worlds, and no world that it targets can survive. It is said that even Transcendent beings are no match for it," Han Li said.

Han Mu fell silent. He looked at the pair of red eyes in the crack and felt an unprecedented sense of crisis rising in his heart.

"My lord, what should we do?" Han Li asked.

"Seal the rift first to stop it from coming over." Han Mu formed hand seals, and his transcendent power transformed into golden runes, which were imprinted on the rift. The rift began to shrink, but the speed was very slow, much more difficult than when he sealed the Heavenly Demon Lord's rift last time.

"Roar." A deep roar came from the other side of the rift, and the pair of red eyes suddenly opened wide. A powerful force surged out from the rift, shattering Han Mu's sealing runes.

Han Mu was forced back several steps, his face pale. His seal had been easily shattered by his opponent, which meant that the opponent's strength far exceeded his expectations.

"My lord, are you alright?" Han Li asked with concern.

"It's alright, but we can't seal it; its power is too strong." Han Mu shook his head. He knew that sealing it wouldn't stop the opponent, and he had to think of another way.

"My lord, I suggest you enter the rift and take a look at the other side. Only by knowing yourself and your enemy can you find a way to deal with it," Han Li suggested.

"Entering the rift is too dangerous." Han Mu frowned. He didn't know what the situation was on the other side of the rift, and entering rashly might lead to danger.

"We must go, even if it's dangerous. If we let it come, the entire Chaos Sea will be swallowed up," Han Li said.

Han Mu gritted his teeth. He knew Han Li was right. He had to go, not for himself, but for the billions of living beings in the Chaos Sea.

"Alright, I'll go. You inform Lei Di and the others to guard the Chaos Sea until I return," Han Mu said.

"Rest assured, my lord, I will certainly convey your message," Han Li said.

Han Mu took a deep breath, leaped, and jumped into the crevice.

The moment Han Mu entered the rift, he felt dizzy and disoriented. The surrounding space was constantly twisting and deforming, and the powerful spatial force was tearing at his body, several times more intense than when he entered the extraterrestrial demon world last time.

Han Mu gritted his teeth and persevered, using his transcendent power to protect his entire body and resist the erosion of spatial power. After about ten breaths, his feet touched the ground, and before him was a pitch-black world.

There is no light, no sound, no air, not even the laws of nature; only endless void and deathly silence.

"This is the world of the Void Devourers." Han Mu looked around but couldn't see anything. He activated his transcendence power, forming a light shield around himself that illuminated the surrounding environment.

Beneath my feet lies a stretch of black earth, smooth as a mirror, reflecting a faint light. In the distance stands a massive black mountain range, shaped like a crouching beast, radiating a suffocating pressure.

Han Mu walked towards the black mountain range. The closer he got to the mountain, the stronger the pressure became, and his steps became heavier and heavier. When he reached the foot of the mountain, he saw a huge cave with a red light flashing inside, like the eye of some kind of creature.

"You've come." A deep voice came from the cave, with a hint of mockery in it.

Han Mu stopped and looked warily into the cave. He knew that the creature inside was the Void Devourer.

"I've been waiting for you for a long time, guardian of the Chaos Sea," the voice continued. "Do you know that I have devoured three thousand six hundred worlds? The guardian of each world once stood where you stood, but they all eventually became my food."

"I will not become your food," Han Mu said coldly.

"Is that so? Then let's wait and see." The voice laughed, and the red light in the cave grew brighter and brighter. A powerful suction force surged out of the cave, pulling Han Mu into it.

Han Mu's expression changed, and he forcefully planted his feet into the ground, but the suction was too strong, and his body was still slowly sliding towards the cave.

"My lord, be careful, it's absorbing your essence!" Han Li shouted anxiously.

Han Mu was startled. He felt his source power rapidly draining away and being sucked into the cave. If this continued, he would be drained dry sooner or later.
