The Longevity Family: Starting from the Foundation Establishment Ancestor

Chapter 467 A One-Day Trip to the Civilization Museum

As Han Mu sorted through the information he obtained from the remnant soul of the Mechanical Emperor, he discovered that the Museum of Civilization was located deep underground on the Mechanical Continent, where all the civilization samples collected by the Civilization Harvesters over the years were preserved.

"My lord, shall we go to that civilization museum?" Zhou Meng asked.

"We must go. Knowing yourself and your enemy is the key to victory in every battle. I want to see what the Civilization Harvesters are all about," Han Mu said.

The four arrived at the underground entrance to the mechanical continent. At the entrance was a huge metal door, covered with complex runes and radiating powerful energy fluctuations.

"There's a restriction on this door, I'll break it." Han Li stepped forward, studied it carefully, then took out the array plate and began to break the restriction.

After a full day, Han Li finally broke the restriction. The metal door slowly opened, revealing a passage leading underground. The passage was long, with glowing gems embedded in the walls on both sides, illuminating the path ahead.

The four of them walked down the passage for about half an hour, and then a huge underground space suddenly appeared before them.

The space contains countless transparent glass cases, each containing a miniature universe. Some universes are teeming with life, some have become desolate ruins, and others are in the process of destruction, creating an extremely shocking scene.

"This is the Museum of Civilization, it's magnificent!" Luo Feng exclaimed, his mouth agape.

"Don't just look, be careful of traps," Han Li warned.

The four of them cautiously entered the museum, observing as they went. They discovered that under each glass case was a plaque that recorded the name of the universe, its birth time, its destruction time, and the amount of life essence harvested at that time.

"Universe No. 9527, Birth Time: 10 billion years ago, Destruction Time: 9.9 billion years ago, Life Essence Harvested: 8.72 million portions, Rating: Excellent." Han Mu read out the contents of a nameplate, his face turning extremely ugly.

"Eight million seven hundred and twenty thousand life essences, that's how many lives!" Zhou Meng gasped.

"These bastards, what do they think life is?" Luo Feng roared.

The four continued forward, their hearts growing with horror. They discovered that the number of harvested universes was staggering, numbering in the millions. Each universe had nurtured countless lives, but ultimately, they all became nourishment for the civilization harvesters.

"My lord, look at this." Han Li pointed to a huge glass case in front of him. Inside the case was a universe much larger than any other universe, radiating powerful energy fluctuations.

Han Mu walked over and saw the plaque that read: "Primordial Universe, Birth Time: 100 Billion Years Ago, Status: Approaching Maturity, Estimated Harvest Time: 10,000 Years Later, Estimated Life Origin: 1 Billion Units, Rating: Perfect Level."

"The primordial universe, isn't that our universe?" Zhou Meng exclaimed.

Han Mu's face turned ashen. He finally understood that their universe was the one most valued by the civilization harvesters, known as the perfect one. This meant that the danger they faced was greater than they had imagined.

"My lord, look over there." Luo Feng pointed to an area deep inside the museum, where there was a huge light screen. The screen displayed a massive figure, shrouded in light, making its exact shape unclear, but the aura it exuded was even more powerful than that of the Golden Armored War God.

"The leader of the Civilization Harvesters," Han Mu said in a deep voice. He could sense that the being in the light screen was the supreme ruler of the Civilization Harvesters.

Just then, the figure in the light screen suddenly turned its head and looked in the direction of Han Mu. A pair of cold eyes met Han Mu's gaze through the light screen.

"Interesting, some ants have actually found their way here." A deep voice echoed in the museum, tinged with a hint of mockery.

Han Mu's expression changed drastically. He knew he had been discovered and quickly called to the three of them, "Let's go!"

The four turned and ran, but the museum doors suddenly closed, trapping them inside. Then, countless mechanical creatures surged in from all directions, surrounding them completely.

"My lord, what should we do?" Zhou Meng asked anxiously.

"Fight your way out," Han Mu said coldly. He took the initiative and punched the mechanical creature blocking his way, but there were too many of them. As soon as he killed one batch, another batch surged up, seemingly endless.

The four stood back to back, engaging in a fierce battle with the mechanical creatures. However, there were simply too many of them, and their stamina was rapidly depleting, with more and more wounds appearing on their bodies.

"My lord, this can't go on; we'll be worn down and killed," Han Li said.

"I know, but we have to find a way to break out," Han Mu said through gritted teeth. He looked around and found a ventilation duct on the top of the museum, which might be a way to escape.

"Follow me." Han Mu shouted, punched open the ceiling, and then led the three of them into the ventilation duct. The mechanical creature followed closely behind and also entered the duct.

The four crawled quickly through the narrow pipe, with the mechanical creatures in hot pursuit. Forks appeared frequently in the pipe, and Han Mu chose a direction based on his intuition, running wildly all the way.

After climbing for an unknown amount of time, light finally appeared ahead. Han Mu kicked open the fence blocking his way, jumped out of the pipe, and found himself on the surface of the Mechanical Continent.

"Finally out." Luo Feng slumped to the ground, panting heavily.

"Don't rest, hurry up and go, they'll catch up soon," Han Mu said. The four of them didn't dare to linger and flew towards the Cosmic Sea.

Just as they were about to leave the Mechanical Continent, a huge pillar of light descended from the sky, blocking their path. A tall figure emerged from the pillar of light; it was the Mechanical Emperor.

"Han Mu, do you think you can escape?" the Mechanical Emperor said coldly.

"Mechanical Emperor, aren't you already dead?" Han Mu asked in surprise.

"I only lost one clone; my main body is still here. Today, none of you will leave here alive," the Mechanical Emperor said coldly. With a wave of its hand, countless lasers shot towards the four of them.

Han Mu gritted his teeth. He knew he couldn't dodge it and could only take it head-on. He activated the power of the Great Dao to form a protective shield in front of him, but the Mechanical Emperor's attack was too strong. The shield only lasted for a few seconds before it shattered. The four of them were hit by the lightning and fell heavily to the ground.

"Like ants, yet you dare to rival the sun and moon." The Mechanical Emperor said coldly, raising its hand to grab the four people with a huge mechanical hand.

Han Mu closed his eyes, knowing that this time it was really over, but just then, a golden light suddenly descended from the sky, shattering the mechanical hand, and a familiar voice rang out in the void.

That's enough.

Han Mu opened his eyes and saw the Golden Armored War God reappear in the void. A warm feeling welled up in his heart. This senior always appeared when he was in the most danger.

"Golden Armored War God, you've ruined my plans time and time again. Do you really think I'm afraid of you?" the Mechanical Emperor roared.

"If you're not afraid, then come and try," the Golden Armored War God said coldly, charging towards the Mechanical Emperor with his golden spear in hand.
