When Han Nian rushed into the secret chamber, he was trembling all over. He stood in front of the stone platform, looking at the crystal-clear body, and tears welled up in his eyes. The body's eyebrows, the body's outline, the slight upturn of the corners of the mouth—it was exactly the same as his father in his memory.

He reached out, his fingers trembling violently, and touched the body's cheek. His fingertips felt a warm touch, not the coldness of jade, not the hardness of metal, but real, warm skin.

Just then, the body's eyes slowly opened.

The first thing Han Mu saw was an unfamiliar young face. A tall, handsome young man stood before him, his eyes red-rimmed, tears streaming down his face, his lips trembling as he couldn't speak. Han Mu was stunned for a moment, then he saw those eyes. He knew those eyes all too well; they were exactly like his own, only younger and clearer.

"Nian'er," Han Mu said, his voice hoarse as if sandpaper had been rubbing against wood, his throat sounding like it hadn't breathed in a long time.

"Father!" Han Nian knelt down with a thud, hugged Han Mu's waist with both hands, buried his face in his chest, and burst into tears. He cried like a five or six-year-old child, his shoulders sobbing, and his snot and tears were all smeared on Han Mu's new clothes.

Han Mu raised his hand, paused in mid-air, hesitated for a moment, and then gently placed it on Han Nian's head. He felt his fingers pass through his son's hair—warm, soft, and real. It was no longer ethereal air, no longer an intangible glimmer of light, but a tangible touch.

He really came back to life.

"Nian'er, you've grown up." Han Mu's voice was choked with emotion. He cupped Han Nian's face in his hands, wiped away his tears with his thumb, and carefully examined his face. "Father has missed so much."

"It's okay, it's good that Daddy is back." Han Nian wiped away her tears and grinned, revealing two rows of white teeth. Her smile was as bright as when she was a child and received a candied hawthorn.

Just then, a sharp crack came from the doorway; the sound of porcelain shattering was particularly jarring in the empty temple.

Han Mu looked up and saw Fairy Hongmeng standing at the doorway, the tray in her hand on the ground, the teacup shattered into pieces, and tea splashed onto her skirt and shoes. But she was oblivious, just staring blankly at Han Mu, her lips trembling, her eyes brimming with tears, wanting to call out but unable to utter a sound.

Han Mu stood up and walked to Fairy Hongmeng. He reached out to wipe away her tears, and the moment his fingers touched her cheek, her tears flowed like a burst dam, unstoppable.

"I'm back," Han Mu said softly, a smile on his lips, but his eyes were red.

The Fairy of Primordial Chaos threw herself into his arms, her hands gripping the fabric of his robe tightly, her nails digging into his flesh through the clothes, but she was completely unaware. She buried her face in his chest, crying so hard she couldn't speak, her shoulders trembling violently, her tears soaking a large patch of his robe.

Han Mu held her in his arms, one arm around her waist and the other gently patting her back. He didn't speak, just held her tightly, resting his chin on her head, closing his eyes, feeling her body temperature and heartbeat.

Zhou Meng stood outside the door, watching this scene. His Adam's apple bobbed, and he quietly turned his head away, wiping the corner of his eye with his sleeve. He had followed Han Mu for so many years and had seen all sorts of storms, but at this moment, he still couldn't hold back.

Luo Feng was far less reserved. He squatted down by the wall outside the door, covered his face with his hands, and wailed loudly, crying even harder than Han Nian. He mumbled something between sobs, and his saliva was dripping.

Han Li lay on the ground beside him, smiled weakly, then closed his eyes and peacefully fell asleep. He was truly exhausted. Eighty-one days without sleep or rest, sustained entirely by a single belief. Now that the mission was complete, that strength had dissipated, and he had completely collapsed.

After a while, Fairy Hongmeng's crying gradually subsided. She raised her head and looked at Han Mu, her eyes swollen and red like two walnuts, her nose also red, but a smile was on her lips. Her crying and laughing at the same time looked somewhat comical.

"My lord, you've lost weight," said Fairy Hongmeng, her voice trembling with tears.

"I just got a new body, and I haven't had time to gain weight yet," Han Mu said with a smile, reaching out to brush the hair stuck to her face behind her ear.

The Fairy of Primordial Chaos was amused by him. She gently punched his chest, then pressed her face against his chest, unwilling to leave, as if she wanted to make up for the warmth she had missed over the years.

Han Mu looked around and saw his old friends all there, his son had grown into a capable young man, and his wife, though crying uncontrollably, still had a warm smile. An unprecedented sense of satisfaction welled up inside him, like a ship that had been adrift for a long time finally reaching shore.

"By the way, Luo Feng, what did you just say?" Han Mu looked at Luo Feng, who was squatting against the wall.

Luo Feng raised his head, his face covered in snot and tears, his eyes as red as a rabbit's. He sniffed and said in a muffled voice, "I said, my lord, you're finally back. I thought I'd never see you again in this lifetime."

"Is that all? I thought you were going to say you'd refined some kind of peerless divine elixir," Han Mu laughed.

Luo Feng froze for a moment, then slapped his thigh and stood up abruptly, his face turning deathly pale: "It's all over, it's all over, it's all over! I refined a batch of pills, which were originally intended for the master to use to replenish his body after his resurrection. I was so excited just now that I forgot to watch the fire."

Before the words were finished, a muffled sound came from the alchemy room on the east side of the Temple of Creation. With a loud bang, several roof tiles were blown off by the shockwave, and a plume of black smoke billowed out of the window, filling the air with the smell of burnt medicine.

Luo Feng slapped his forehead and wailed, "My alchemy furnace!"

Everyone paused for a moment, then burst into laughter. Han Mu laughed the loudest, bending over with laughter until tears streamed down his face. Fairy Hongmeng leaned against him, laughing along, her shoulders shaking with mirth. Han Nian laughed so hard he slapped his thigh. Even the usually serious Zhou Meng couldn't help but smile.

Laughter echoed through the Temple of Creation, carrying far and wide, startling the birds perched on the eaves.

Han Mu put his arm around Hongmeng Fairy's shoulder, looking at everything before him, and secretly vowed that this time, he would not leave again. He would spend time with his family and friends, making up for the lost time little by little.
