The newly emerging "chaotic" rules within the primordial universe within Lin Xuan's body were like pebbles thrown into a lake. Though faint, they allowed him to gain a deeper understanding of the essence of this Cthulhu world. The omnipresent whispers of madness, to him now, were no longer merely irritating noise, but rather the unconscious manifestation of some chaotic law, even faintly revealing fragmented information about the spacetime structure and energy flow of this world.

This unique perspective gave him a better grasp of how to deal with the situation ahead.

Without further hesitation, his divine sense, manifested as a large, purplish-gold hand, firmly grasped the milky-white fragment of the mark, now restored to its pure state. The fragment felt warm and smooth to the touch, lacking any tangible physical sensation; it was more like a highly condensed aggregate of laws, imbued with the true meaning of "transcendence." A warm current of mutual attraction instantly flowed through his body via his divine sense, invigorating his weary soul and seemingly clarifying his understanding of the void dimension.

"Fragment, obtained!" Lin Xuan felt certain.

However, just as he was preparing to incorporate the fragment into his divine sense core and immediately use his abilities to escape this insane world—

"Buzz!"

The projection core within his body, fused with tortoise shell runes, emitted a powerful tremor once more! This time, it wasn't directed at the fragment he had just obtained, but rather... it pierced through the floor of the circular hall, pointing deeper and into the very core of the R'lyeh ruins!

There seemed to be something beckoning from there! Moreover, the intensity of that beckoning was far greater than that of the fragment in his hand!

Could it be... that this statue isn't the true core? Just an outer protective point? Deeper within those green ruins, at the core seal of R'lyeh, lies... a second, perhaps even more complete, "Crest of Transcendence"?!

This thought spread through Lin Xuan's mind like wildfire.

The balance of risk and opportunity has tipped once again.

The fragments in his hand are certainly precious, but if there is a more complete imprint below, its value will be immeasurable! It may allow him to take his control over the origin of projection to a higher level, and even glimpse more of the ultimate mystery of "transcendence".

But below, undoubtedly, lies an area much closer to the slumbering body of the ancient ruler, its danger far exceeding that of this place! Just now, even a mere wisp of his divine consciousness had forced him to use all his abilities, facing imminent peril. If he were to alert the true body…

Should they take their profits and retreat safely with a fragment? Or... seek fortune in danger and venture into the lion's den again?

He hesitated for only a fraction of a second before a resolute glint flashed in Lin Xuan's eyes.

The path of cultivation is inherently about defying fate and fighting against destiny! With opportunities before us, how can we retreat out of fear of risks? Moreover, he has now begun to comprehend the chaotic laws of this world, and his ability to perceive and respond to danger is far superior to what it was before.

"Let's go and see what secrets are hidden deep within R'lyeh!"

Without further hesitation, he incorporated the acquired fragment of the mark into the core of his divine sense for nurturing. Immediately, the divine sense crystal wall shimmered with light, and following the strong sense of attraction, he found a deep, dark passage at the edge of the hall, half-hidden by a collapsed green boulder, and entered without hesitation.

The passage sloped downwards, its depths unfathomable, filled with an even stronger aura of decay and the deep sea. Huge, pulsating veins began to appear on the walls, and the chaotic energy in the air became more active and violent.

He cautiously descended, avoiding several energy vortexes radiating intense malice and the entrances to what appeared to be Deep One lairs. The deeper he went, the heavier the oppressive aura emanating from his dormant self became, as if the weight of the entire world was pressing down on his divine sense. Even the newly formed "chaotic" rules could only barely keep him from being instantly assimilated.

Finally, after passing through a viscous energy layer that resembled a biological membrane, he reached the end of the passage.

Suddenly, a huge underground space opened up before them.

But the scene here is completely different from the ruins above.

There were no complex architectural structures here, only an incredibly vast and empty cavern, seemingly located at the very bottom of R'lyeh. At the center of the cavern, instead of a statue, stood a massive, dizzyingly complex sealing array composed of countless twisted, shimmering green runes!

At the core of the magic circle, a ball of chaotic light, roughly the size of a human head, floated, constantly shifting its shape. This light was a peculiar grayish-white, unlike the insane eerie green of the outside world or the pure milky white of the fragment in his hand; rather, it was a color that seemed to harmonize everything, yet transcended everything.

And that extremely strong sense of attraction originated from this chaotic light!

The second mark of transcendence!

Moreover, judging from its shape and the Daoist aura it exudes, the completeness of this mark far surpasses that of the fragment he had just obtained! It seems to be imprisoned here by this huge sealing array, whose power is continuously drawing chaotic energy from the depths of R'lyeh, attempting to erode and obliterate the mark. However, the "transcendent" Daoist aura emanating from the mark itself stubbornly resists, forming a delicate balance.

This mark appears to have been captured by the Great Old Ones and sealed here, attempting to corrupt and assimilate it with their own power!

Just as Lin Xuan saw the mark clearly and was overjoyed, preparing to find a way to break the seal and seize this even greater opportunity—

The change occurred suddenly, in a way that far exceeded his expectations!

He seems to have triggered some kind of alarm mechanism!

It did not originate from the sleeping Great Old Ones themselves, but from this world itself!

"Buzz—!!!!"

An indescribable, vast force of repulsion, as if the entire universe itself was in fury, pressed towards him from all directions! This force was not a single energy attack, but a collective upheaval of the underlying laws of this Cthulhu world!

Space began to fold and twist wildly, attempting to banish him to an unknown dimension; the flow of time became chaotic, with phantoms of the past and future intertwining and flashing; the omnipresent whispers of chaos instantly intensified a hundredfold, transforming into tangible, soul-tearing sounds of law; even the dark green "seawater" and the giant stones that constituted R'lyeh seemed to come alive, launching an attack on him with clear malice!

The whole world is rejecting him, this "outcast"! Rejecting him, the thief who stole its core secrets and tried to take away the "Transcendence Mark"!

"Snap! Snap! Snap!"

Under the terrifying repulsion of this world, Lin Xuan's barrier of reason was like glass struck by a heavy hammer, instantly becoming cracked and its light dimmed rapidly, on the verge of shattering completely!

He felt as if he had become a small boat in a raging storm, which could be swallowed up and annihilated at any moment by the wrath of the whole world!

The world is rejecting us! This is a crisis more terrifying than any single enemy!
