After a minor incident that turned out to be a close call, Frank assumed that Luna couldn't bear the pain and deliberately led him to stop the blood-sucking and refining process in the alchemy pipeline.

But only Luna, standing beside Frank in her spirit form, knew what she was plotting. She had obtained the air and the power of the condensed storm.

In the darkness, a faint, crystalline light rose again. Frank was astonished to find that Luna's tears, which had just fallen, were being lifted up by bubbles and floating to the surface.

An uneasy feeling crept into the entire space, and in the dim light, Frank seemed to see Luna's clear smile.

boom!

The high-energy particles immediately released an incredibly intense energy reaction. The teardrop became a flash of light that severed the shackles. Behind the pale blue hair, the alchemical pipes snapped, and the brilliant blood instantly filled the entire space, obscuring Luna's figure.

"What happened? What on earth happened?"

Valerie rushed over, grabbed Frank who was standing there stunned, and drew her staff, aiming it at the glass wall.

pat!

Countless streams of wind slapped against the thick glass, like frantic arms struggling and crowding together. The engraved magic arrays on it lit up layer by layer, only to shatter layer by layer.

A snow-white hand touched the spot where Frank's palm had just been, and the glass shattered into countless cracks. A vacuum floated, and a terrifying gravitational pull instantly sucked up all the air in the basement. The magician's exploding body smashed the glass wall completely, surging into the endless storm of blood.

If Valissa hadn't activated her protective magic in time, she and Frank would probably have been killed instantly.

"exile."

Luna's voice seemed to come from the void. Valesa frowned, and the moment she sensed the formation of a large area, she quickly dragged Frank along, used a piercing spell to blast through the ground, and then rushed to the surface.

Behind the two, the expanding area was filled with violent solar rays, and the surrounding outer layer of matter was stripped away by the high temperature radiation, with everything evaporating and melting in the storm.

Before the residents of the royal city could understand what was happening, a sun crown that shattered the night rose from beneath the violently exploding papacy. Most of the royal city was thrown away, and pale blue filaments scattered and burned, spewing out torrents of scorching solar wind that began to indiscriminately attack all flesh and blood creatures.

When the king came to his senses, corpses littered the ground, cries of anguish were drowned out by the storm, flames roared and black mist billowed, and the entire royal city had become a living hell.

Having reclaimed her power, the particle mist repaired Luna's translucent body. She is now free, and the only one qualified to stand in her way is the god.

She looked up at the sky. In the night sky, a giant hand descended from the heavens, forcefully suppressing the sun's corona and unleashing a dazzling aurora that obscured the entire royal city.

Luna, in her spirit form, stood atop a house, her heart filled with anguish. The aftershocks of the battle echoed with cries of agony. When the aurora dissipated, Luna had vanished without a trace.

The powerful figures who had gathered around suddenly changed their expressions. When the giant hand raised itself, one of its fingers had already been severed, the connecting flesh and skin were broken, and the finger smashed the entire street like a mountain.

"Your secret is really complicated..." Annie appeared out of nowhere and came to Luna's side, then suddenly grabbed her shoulder.

"But none of that matters. Tell me, where is your brother? Where is Oswald?"

Luna was taken aback. This was the first time since she arrived that someone had noticed her presence and made physical contact with her.

"Annie? Brother? Wait, what time is it here?"

"This is your soul world. Judging from the timeline, it should be your second life, during the period when Elene gathered troops for a rebellion."

Annie glanced at Luna with a hint of disbelief, making sure that Luna genuinely didn't understand the situation.

With a snap of her fingers, Annie dispersed this world of souls, like shaking off a sand painting, restoring everything before her to an empty white void.

Abandoning Luna and failing to find Oswald, Annie fell into a state of self-isolation. She curled up in the emptiness of the void, her anger long since dissipated.

Just like Luna said, it's nothing but a false incarnation. There's no need to waste your emotions and create such a shameful spectacle.

But she couldn't bear the long loneliness, and she didn't know where to go. Her confusion and anger could perhaps only be vented on "Oswald".

As her memories gradually came together, Luna finally understood the cause and effect. Looking at the culprit in front of her, she sighed helplessly.

Next time, I'll stay away from these heroes' teams. Whether they're friend or foe, whatever they do, they can always create an accident and mess everything up.

She was so close! Just a tiny bit more, and she and her brother could have wiped out all those damned guys!

And then there's Valesha, the president of the Magicians' Guild. No wonder she always acted like we knew each other so well; it turns out I fell for her in my past life…

As for Frank, Luna didn't know what to say. For the ambitious Frank, becoming the king of this era was perhaps a destined misfortune.

"Can this power of yours be used to kill?" Luna asked after a moment's thought.

Annie's muffled voice came through, "They've all gone out; you're the last one."

Upon hearing this, Luna was slightly surprised. She understood how troublesome the soul world was, and how easily fragmented memories could lead people astray within it.

"Why? Why didn't you kill Diana, or the Great Sage?"

Annie pouted and said with a wry smile, "Luna, we're facing a god. Do you think she designed me to look like this so that I could gain the power to rebel against her?"

For Annie, awakening the cursed power of her soul was actually a troublesome matter. She could sense that the goddess of life had already cast her gaze upon her.

Luna was silent for a moment, then said, "Then let me out too. My brother must be outside; he'll be worried about me."

"No, I don't want to see him right now." Annie shook her head haughtily, drawing circles in the air with her finger, and asked casually, "Do you think he'll worry about me too?"

"Won't."

Luna answered instantly, then added, "My brother would love for you all to die."

Annie turned her gaze over, her expression a mixture of grievance, displeasure, embarrassment, and a hint of relief, all of which were met with a firmer look from Luna.

"We are all responsible for our choices, Annie." Luna's voice softened as she explained earnestly, "From the day you joined the Hero's Squad, neither of your brothers could accept you anymore."

"If you win, we'll accept it; the victor is king and the loser is villain—that's an eternal truth. But if you lose, you won't have a place on our side either."

"Don't be fooled by your brother's appearance. He only accepted you temporarily because he thinks you still have value for the future. The day the goddess falls will be the day your brother goes on a killing spree, and the first to be eliminated will be your hero's party."

The struggle is brutal. If the heroes and their companions make significant contributions in defeating the goddess, Oswald might take a roundabout approach to deal with them.

But since everyone is so useless, when the time comes for reckoning, it will naturally be a swift and decisive strike.

"Actually, when you get to the end of your life, you find that no one truly loves you, no one truly cares about you... it's quite painful."

Annie chuckled self-deprecatingly. She now understood why everyone liked to gather around the hero; affection was still affection, after all.

Luna stepped forward, bent down, and patted her shoulder, offering a rare word of comfort. "Didn't someone love you before? Think of it on the bright side; maybe that brother is living a relaxed and happy life because of your choice."
