The instant he passed through the crevice, Qin Yuan felt his body being pulled by countless hands. It wasn't an attack, but rather a difference in rules—the rules of the myriad realms failed here, replaced by something more primal and brutal. There was no up, down, left, or right; no temporal order; no causal logic. Only chaos.

The chaotic energy enveloped them like a thick fog, gray and turbulent, carrying an indescribable fishy smell. Qin Yuan activated his Guardian Heavenly Dao, and a golden light shield enveloped the two of them. The chaotic energy crashed against the light shield, hissing like water droplets splashing on a hot pan.

"There's nothing here..." Lin Qing'er looked around.

"Yes," Qin Yuan said. "There is someone."

In the distance, several blurry figures appeared within the chaotic energy. The figures drew closer, revealing themselves to be five Chaos Warriors. Like the previous ones, they were faceless, with greyish-black skin, and dark red light emanating from their cracks. But their auras were stronger; two of them had already reached the Void Supreme level.

Qin Yuan didn't wait for them to get close. He drew the Xing Tian Sword and swept it horizontally. Golden sword energy arced out, slicing five Chaos Warriors in half at the waist. Their upper and lower bodies separated, falling and turning into gray liquid.

Qin Yuan grabbed the last prisoner who hadn't completely dissipated, grabbed his neck with his right hand, and pressed him against the light shield.

"Where is your base of operations? Who is in command? Why are you invading all realms?"

The prisoner had no mouth, but Qin Yuan heard a sound—not from the prisoner, but directly in his mind. It was intermittent, like a radio with a poor signal.

"The Chaos Ancient Clan... Clan Chief... Chaos Heaven... Invasion... Plunder... Faith..."

Qin Yuan then asked, "Where is the first city?"

The captive raised its arm and pointed east. Then its body completely dissolved into liquid, flowing through Qin Yuan's fingers.

Qin Yuan released his grip and flicked the gray liquid from his palm. The liquid was slippery, like oil, but smelled like burnt metal.

"East," he said to Lin Qing'er.

The two flew eastward.

In the chaos, there were no reference points, no sense of distance. Qin Yuan didn't know how long he had been flying; it could have been an hour, a day, or even longer. He only knew that he was heading east—or at least, that's what he thought was east.

A light appeared ahead. It wasn't golden, nor white, but a dark red, like a dying ember. The light grew brighter and larger, until it transformed into a city.

The city walls were constructed of dark red chaotic crystals, their surface rough and riddled with cracks from which a magma-like substance flowed. The city gates were black, devoid of doors, consisting only of a dark, gaping entrance. Two rows of chaotic warriors stood atop the walls, taller and more imposing than any they had encountered before.

A general stood at the city gate; he had a face. His face was normal, with all his features, but his skin was dark red, and his eyes were orange, like two pieces of burning coal. He wore dark red armor and held a halberd that was burning with flames.

"Chaos Fire City," the general spoke, his voice crackling like sputtering embers. "How did you get in? Where are the outposts? Where are the patrols?"

Qin Yuan did not answer. He landed on the ground, with Lin Qing'er following behind him.

The general, having discerned Qin Yuan's cultivation level, flashed his orange eyes. "The Primordial Chaos? No, you're merely a Void Supreme. A Void Supreme dares to come to the Abyss of Chaos?"

He raised his halberd, and the flames at its tip suddenly shot up, transforming into a fire dragon that lunged at Qin Yuan with bared fangs and claws. Wherever the fire dragon passed, the air distorted, and the chaotic crystals on the ground were scorched white.

Qin Yuan did not retreat. He raised his hand and struck out with his palm.

The golden palm print collided with the fire dragon, which shattered starting from its head, collapsing segment by segment backward until the entire dragon disintegrated into sparks. The palm print did not stop, continuing forward, striking the general's chest.

The general was sent flying, crashing into the city wall and creating a dent. He slid to the ground, his armor shattered, a gash in his chest, and dark red blood gushing from his mouth.

"You..." He struggled to his feet, the orange flames in his eyes flickering.

Qin Yuan walked up to him and looked down at him. "Where is the Chaos Fire?"

The general was taken aback. "You're looking for the city lord?"

"lead the way."

The general did not move. Qin Yuan's sword was pressed against his throat.

The general stood up, turned, and walked into the city. Qin Yuan and Lin Qing'er followed behind him.

The city streets were narrow, lined with low houses built of dark red chaotic crystal. The houses had no windows, only doors. There were no pedestrians on the streets; occasionally, a few pairs of eyes could be seen through the cracks in the doors, but they quickly retreated.

In the center of the city stood a palace, towering above the surrounding buildings. Its roof was pointed, and a flagpole stood atop it, from which hung a black flag with no design.

The palace doors were open. Inside sat a middle-aged man, his body ablaze with flames. His hair was a stream of fire, leaping upwards and crackling. His eyes were like lava, orange-yellow, flowing slowly. He sat on a stone chair, red-hot from the flames, but not melting.

"Chaotic Fire." The general who had led the way knelt down. "They...they broke in..."

Chaosfire glanced at the general, then at Qin Yuan.

"The Void Supreme?" His voice was low, like the sound of fire burning wood. "The Void Supreme dares to come to the Chaos Abyss? Are you here to die?"

Qin Yuan said, "You have invaded all realms."

"Myriad realms?" The Chaos Fire laughed, its laughter like exploding firewood. "Myriad realms were originally our pasture. What's wrong with us going to harvest them?"

Lin Qing'er gripped the sword hilt tightly.

Chaosfire stood up. A corner of the stone chair beneath him melted from the heat, and the molten stone flowed onto the ground, solidifying into a black lump.

"Let me see how many of my moves the Void Supreme can withstand."

He raised his hand, and a flame ten times larger than the general's erupted from his palm. It wasn't a fire dragon, but a sea of fire, engulfing everything and burning towards Qin Yuan. The flames weren't red, but white, and the temperature was so high that even the air seemed to be burning.

Qin Yuan pushed the Heavenly Dao Protection to its limit, creating a golden light barrier that enveloped him and Lin Qing'er. Flames struck the barrier, but it didn't shatter; however, Qin Yuan felt his spiritual energy rapidly depleting. He felt like he was being roasted, like a piece of iron in a furnace.

Lin Qing'er stood behind him, sweat beading on her forehead, but she did not back down.

The moment the flames subsided slightly, Qin Yuan drew his sword, unsheathed it, and swung it. The three movements were executed in one fluid motion, and golden sword energy pierced through the flames, cleaving a path straight towards the Chaos Fire.

Chaosfire raised his hand to block, but his arm was severed by the sword's aura. The severed arm fell to the ground, burned for a moment, and then went out. Chaosfire looked at his severed arm, then at Qin Yuan, and for the first time, surprise appeared in his lava-like eyes.
