Chapter 452 Ian's Uncomfortable Behavior
The channel went silent again.
The wills of the thirty Sun Thrones were exchanging information at high speed in the channel.
Which defense zone is most critical? Which throne requires the most manpower? How should Ian and Kerrigan's support routes be planned to maximize efficiency?
The first to reach a conclusion was the great polymath Orion.
"On the eastern side of the G-9 sector, there's Xavier, whose Moonlit Force has suffered more than half its losses. He's holding off four level-six Mother Nests all by himself. He won't last much longer."
"Then let's go to G-9 first." Azshara's will landed on Ian's channel.
"Then go to H-3, and then to the periphery of the central cluster. The route map has been synchronized to your tower spirit."
Ian glanced at the star map that popped up on the panel; a winding curve connected more than a dozen defense zones.
Each defense zone is marked with its current pressure level, the status of the Sun Throne, and its estimated arrival time.
"Received." The Tower of Eternity began to turn.
Kerrigan followed closely behind, the two behemoths one after the other, breaking away from the G-7 defense zone and accelerating toward the G-9 sector.
Over the next twenty-four hours, Ian's footprints covered the entire battlefield.
G-9 sector east side.
Xavier's wizard tower has been deformed, and the rune array on its surface has been largely extinguished, struggling to withstand the psionic resonance waves from the four level-six mother hives.
The number of Moonlit Wizards under his command was reduced from thirty to twenty-three, and the rest were all wounded.
Xavier himself has lost an arm. Although this injury will heal quickly, the Hive will not give him that time.
Then, the Eternal Tower and the enormous insect sphere came into view.
The battle quickly escalated to a fever pitch, with Ian's tactics being simple yet highly effective.
The Sun and Moon Domain unfolds, annihilating and clearing out low-level Zerg souls within a million kilometers. Then, all firepower is concentrated, and in coordination with Xavier, they use numerical superiority to quickly cripple or even kill one or two level-six Mother Nests.
Kerrigan is even more violent. She often goes straight for the most troublesome Broodmother, trading blows and facing swarms of Zerg with swarms of Zerg. With her powerful divine spells and the Zerg storm that tears everything apart, she crushes her opponents.
An hour later, of the four level 6 Mother Nests east of G-9, three were destroyed and one retreated.
"Xavier, return to your position." Orion's will resounded in the channel.
In sector H-3, nine level 6 Mother Nests are besieging a massive ring structure.
This is the "Star Ring Council" of Star Councilor Umbrolos. Originally, given his strength, he did not need support, but there are as many as nine Mother Nests here.
While fighting against five level-six Mother Nests by himself, Umbrolos also had to maintain the stability of the rules within the Star Ring and prevent the contained astral creatures from escaping in the chaos.
When the Tower of Eternity and the Dark Gold Insect Orb arrived, Umbrolos uttered only two words: "Left side."
Ian took over the left one and joined forces with Kerrigan to attack from both sides.
Umbrolos himself gathered the light of the star ring and concentrated all his power in the center.
Two hours later, all the level 6 mother hives around H-3 retreated, and Ambrilosten made his move.
"Ombrillos, return to your place."
Ian arrived at the outer edge of the central cluster, where the mother nests were most concentrated.
Bloom's Warforge has cracked in more than a dozen places and is fighting against five level 6 Mother Nests.
His Moonlit Wizards were divided into eight groups of ten, each group holding down a level six Mother Nest.
The remaining wizards assisted Bronn in entangled the psychic tentacles of the Brood, creating opportunities for him to defeat them one by one.
But the cost was severe; when Ian arrived, he saw at least three shattered wizard tower ruins.
Bloom's voice echoed from the furnace, tinged with the scalding stench of blood: "Perfect timing! The second one from the right, it's yours!"
Three hours later, all five level-six mother spawns on the periphery of the central cluster were destroyed, and the rest retreated.
One after another, the thrones of the sun were liberated from the defenses.
They converged from every corner of the battlefield toward the center, their vast will constantly gathering in the void.
Ian and Kerrigan are still on the run, their footprints extending from G-9 to H-3, from H-3 to the central cluster, and from the hub to the edge.
Each arrival resulted in the destruction or repulsion of a level 6 Mother Nest, and each departure resulted in the escape of a Sun Throne from the defensive line.
Twenty-four hours later, the twentieth Sun King returned to his throne.
In the encrypted channel, twenty points of light lit up simultaneously.
Bloom's will resounded: "[Civilization Barrier]!"
Twenty vast forces of rules resonated simultaneously, following an ancient and profound rhythm.
An indescribable aura swept across the entire battlefield, and a noticeable stagnation appeared in the compound eyes of all Zerg units.
Those retreating level 6 hives, those level 5 hives still entangled with the wizard legions, and those overwhelming low-level Zerg all felt an instinctive tremor at the same time.
A blurry, enormous chaotic phantom slowly coalesced above the twenty thrones of the Sun Kings.
The aura it emitted was already infinitely close to that of a seventh-level True Spirit.
The aura it emitted was already infinitely close to that of a seventh-level True Spirit.
The phantom raised its arm and gently pressed it against the twenty-odd level-six mother nests closest to it.
The ethereal ripples spread silently.
Those colossal objects, thousands of miles in diameter, vanished silently the instant they came into contact with the ripples.
With a single strike, more than twenty level-six mother nests were completely wiped out from the void.
As the phantoms dissipated, the aura of the twenty Sun Thrones weakened simultaneously, but no one stopped.
Their wills exchanged rapidly in the channel, locking onto the coordinates of the next location.
The void was torn apart, and the Sun Thrones collectively performed a spatial jump, appearing on another battlefield.
The chaotic phantom condensed again, raised its hand and pressed down once more, and several more level-six mother nests vanished into nothingness.
Once, twice, three times...
Each leap is accompanied by the annihilation of several or even more than ten level-six mother broods, with one throne after another joining the ranks.
The Zerg reinforcements that originally held an absolute advantage on the battlefield were drastically reduced in number under the repeated crushing blows of the [Civilization Barrier].
From over a hundred seats, to one hundred seats, to seventy seats, to forty seats.
At the same time, all of Hao Ri's energy and spirit were rapidly waning, but no one stopped.
the next day.
As the thirty Sun Thrones completed another space jump and prepared to lock onto the next batch of targets, the purplish-black area on the detection array... was empty.
Those level 6 and level 5 mother broods, those hundreds of billions of combat Zerg units, disappeared from the detection array.
The entire swarm simultaneously severed its own psionic fluctuations, detaching itself from the active network of the Hive's will, and transforming into countless silent, untraceable individuals in the void.
They received the message and retreated.
A brief silence fell over the battlefield.
In the void, only the remains of a level 6 mother hive, shattered carapaces, condensed psionic crystals, and endless belts of Zerg corpses remained.
The wizards of the Silvermoon Legion stood on the defensive line, their staffs still glowing with the afterglow of the setting sun, as the domain of rules slowly receded.
Serafina's World Tree phantom dissipated, her emerald green hair lost its luster, and Karendil put away his Moon Goddess Staff, his aged face etched with deep wrinkles.
But at least, they are still alive.
Ian stood in the control room of the Eternal Tower, gazing at the empty void above the detection array.
Gaga perched on his shoulder, the gray light in its silver eyes slowly fading.
"Ian, I haven't found any more bugs. Is it over?"
Ian didn't answer. His consciousness descended upon the Zerg plains. "Kerrigan, can you sense the presence of the Zerg?"
"It's gone. My hive consciousness can no longer sense any fluctuations. They seem to have... vanished into thin air."
How could such a large number of Zerg possibly disappear?
Finally, his gaze fell on the data that the panel had just captured.
There's an aura of the abyss here!
