The landlord has multiple personalities and wants everyone to pay him.

As the roller coaster slowly glided into the platform, Ye Shu remained in the same position as before, as if she had lost her soul on that continuous loop.

His face was deathly pale, his hair was a mess from the wind, and his voice seemed hoarse from screaming. Because from the second half onwards, Xia Qing seemed to lose the strength of his powerful screams.

As the safety bar lifted, Xia Qing straightened her hair. She turned her head, smiled at Ye Shu's expression, and shook their still intertwined hands.

"Hey, we've arrived. Wake up, snap out of it."

Xia Qing's voice still carried a hint of laughter, though it wasn't exactly gentle, but it was noticeably softer than before she had ridden the roller coaster.

Ye Shu shivered, as if he had just woken up. He turned his head, his unfocused gaze slowly refocusing, finally settling on Xia Qing's face.

Xia Qing's expression didn't show fear; instead, she seemed excited, looking at him with a half-smile. In contrast, Ye Shu looked like he had just run five laps of a marathon—his condition could only be described as utterly miserable.

He tried to speak, but couldn't say anything. Not only could he not speak, he also felt a little numb to his own body; his arms and legs were limp and unresponsive.

Xia Qing stood up and pulled Ye Shu up as well:

"How's it going? So reluctant to leave? Want to do it again?"

Ye Shu was pulled up, but he still didn't say anything. However, Xia Qing could see a message in his eyes: "Listen to the nonsense you're spouting!"

Ye Shugang stood up, but his knees buckled and he sat back down with a thud.

Tang Xiaotao had already gotten off the bus and was standing next to Ye Shu, covering her mouth. Seeing her brother's miserable state, she couldn't hold back anymore.

"Brother, are you... alright?"

"fine......"

Ye Shu waved his hand and stood up, supporting himself on both sides of the chair.

So, amidst the understanding yet amused gazes of the surrounding tourists and staff, Ye Shu was supported on either side by Xia Qing and Tang Xiaotao, and like a toddler just learning to walk, he slowly shuffled out of the roller coaster's exit.

They found a bench and unloaded Ye Shu on it.

"Brother, are you thirsty? I'll go buy you something to drink."

Ye Shu leaned back in his chair, feeling completely weak all over. He had no desire to eat anything right now.

"You...you go play by yourself, I...I'm going to rest for a while."

Tang Xiaotao blinked and looked at Xia Qing. Xia Qing nodded back to her.

"Go ahead, buy some drinks, and see if there's anything else you want to eat. We'll go do something else later. Give me your phone, and I'll transfer you some money."

"No need, sister-in-law, I have money."

With that, Tang Xiaotao turned and left. She had already set her sights on the ice cream shop over there, leaving her brother and sister-in-law alone.

Only Ye Shu and Xia Qing remained on the bench.

It's autumn now, and there's a slight chill in the air. The speakers on the lawn in the park play music on a loop, and together with the sounds of the surrounding tourists, it creates a strangely peaceful feeling.

Ye Shu closed her eyes, still trying to calm the feeling in her stomach.

Suddenly, a hand reached out, grabbed his shoulder, and turned him around. Ye Shu's body tilted, and his head rested on Xia Qing's shoulder.

He was still a little embarrassed; leaning against each other like this in broad daylight... he felt a bit awkward.

"Don't move."

Xia Qing's voice came through, but this time it wasn't a provocation; instead, it sounded like she was feeling sorry for her.

"If you feel unwell, don't force yourself to endure it. Lean against something and rest for a while. No one's watching you anyway."

Ye Shu stopped moving. He could smell the laundry detergent and shampoo on Xia Qing. Leaning against her was definitely more comfortable than the hard back of the chair, and... made him feel safer.

He slowly relaxed and closed his eyes. Although his throat still hurt a little and his legs were still a little weak, his heartbeat seemed to be slowly returning to normal.

Xia Qing turned her head, looked at Ye Shu's hair, and felt the weight on her shoulders growing heavier. A slight smile played on her lips as she spoke:

"But you'd better tell me beforehand if you feel like throwing up. Don't throw up on me, this dress is brand new, I haven't worn it much yet, it's quite expensive."

Ye Shu closed his eyes, forced a smile, and mumbled something in a hoarse voice:

"Don't worry, even if you throw up... you'll have to find a cheap place to do it."

Xia Qing seemed to chuckle softly, and tightened her arm around his shoulder a little more.

The sun shone warmly, a gentle breeze blew, and in the distance came the laughter of tourists, while nearby, the sound of each other's heartbeats could be heard.

Ye Shu leaned on Xia Qing's shoulder, closed her eyes, and suddenly felt that this roller coaster ride was quite worthwhile.

After leaning against the bench for about ten minutes, Ye Shu finally felt like he had recovered. Just as he was about to straighten up, Xia Qing tightened her grip on his shoulder, preventing him from moving.

"What's the rush? Take a rest a bit more. Nobody's in a hurry."

"Brother, sister-in-law, I'm back."

Ye Shu opened his eyes and saw Tang Xiaotao carrying a plastic bag in one hand containing three drinks, and dragging three ice cream cones in the other, running towards him.

"Here you go, drinks and ice cream! Vanilla, strawberry, and chocolate—I bought one of each. You can choose first."

Ye Shu took the drink, took a sip, and found it refreshingly cool, which did make her throat feel much better.

As for the ice cream, Xia Qing glanced at it and casually picked up a strawberry one. Ye Shu felt the same way about all sweets, so he let Tang Xiaotao choose one first.

Tang Xiaotao casually gave Ye Shu a vanilla one, keeping the chocolate one for herself. She took a lick, squinted her eyes, and looked very happy.

The three sat side by side on a bench, watching the crowds go by, eating ice cream and drinking beverages, thoroughly enjoying themselves.

Xia Qing took a bite of the ice cream, her eyes lighting up slightly; it tasted better than she'd imagined. She held the ice cream directly to Ye Shu's lips:

"Try this, it tastes good."

Ye Shu looked up at Xia Qing, who was also looking at him. He then looked down at the ice cream in Xia Qing's hand, staring at the teeth mark. Could this... be considered indirect...?

Xia Qing frowned, somewhat annoyed, as she watched him remain motionless for a while.

"What? You're upset that I bit you?"

"No, I don't mind. I'm just afraid you'll mind me."

After saying that, he took Xia Qing's hand, opened his mouth, and took a small bite.

"Is it good?"

Ye Shu felt the strawberry cream flavor melt in his mouth, and it was indeed stronger than the one in his hand. But his mind was mostly elsewhere, not on the taste.

"Mmm, sweet."

It really is sweet, much sweeter than his own.

Xia Qing nodded, withdrew her hand, and nonchalantly took another bite in the spot where Ye Shu had just bitten. Then she glanced at the ice cream in Ye Shu's hand that had a small chip in it.

"Let me try yours."

As she spoke, before Ye Shu could react, her hand had already reached out.

Ye Shu's hand was suddenly empty as she watched Xia Qing take a big bite next to the crack in the ice cream.

She took a bite of the ice cream, savored it carefully, and then handed it back to Ye Shu.

"Hmm, it seems a bit sweeter than mine."

Ye Shu looked at the ice cream in her hand with two teeth marks side by side, then at Xia Qing's lips covered in cream, and finally took a bite.

They all seem... quite sweet.

Sitting next to her, Tang Xiaotao watched the two of them being all lovey-dovey, then quietly turned her head and took a bite of her ice cream, before frowning.

That's weird... I bought chocolate flavored... but it tastes like dog food!
