The triage area was now a chaotic battlefield.

The air was thick with the smell of blood and disinfectant, mixed with the rough shouts and painful groans of men.

In the center of the crowd, Leng Keyan's white coat was stained beyond recognition, with large patches of dark red bloodstains that were shocking to behold.

Around him were four equally disheveled men, still tense and arguing with each other.

The young man in the white down jacket had a fruit knife stuck in his stomach, the blade mostly embedded.

He clutched the area around his wound, howling in pain, but still muttering curses under his breath: "You damn green-haired turtle, I'll kill you!"

The man, wearing a dirty military green overcoat, had a large tear in his shirt, from which blood was gushing out.

His face was pale, but he glared and retorted, "Bullshit! The child in Shanshan's belly is definitely mine! Who the hell do you think you are?"

The man in the black leather jacket had his head split open, and blood was flowing down half of his face.

He still stubbornly yelled, "Shut the hell up! Shanshan loves me the most, and the child is mine!"

The young man wearing a green cotton coat and dyed yellow hair was the worst off; he had lost two front teeth and spoke with a lisp.

Not to be outdone, she retorted: "I, I knew Shanshan first, the child is mine!"

Although all four men were wounded and bleeding profusely, their fighting spirit was extremely tenacious.

They argued incessantly, their faces flushed and necks red, pointing fingers and cursing at each other.

"You bastard, the child in Shanshan's belly is mine. You adulterer!"

"Bullshit! Shanshan loves me the most, so of course the child is mine!"

"Get out of here, all of you! Shanshan and I got together last year, and the child is mine!"

"Waaah (sound leaks in the wind)... She said in a slow, hesitant voice that she'd only ever done it with me..."

Surrounded in the middle, Leng Keyan pressed her hand tightly against the knife handle on the belly of the white down jacket to prevent further injury.

With his other hand, he tried to separate the people pushing and shoving him, sweat beading on his forehead, his voice nearly hoarse from shouting: "Stop moving!"

"The knife tip may have already pierced the spleen; any further movement could be fatal. Stop arguing and treat the wound first!"

However, the four men, blinded by love, wouldn't listen to reason. In the ensuing scuffle, one of them slammed his elbow into Leng Keyan's forehead.

Then, she was hit in the cheek by a waving arm. Leng Keyan groaned and staggered backward, about to be pushed to the ground.

In this chaotic moment, a hand with distinct knuckles steadily supported Leng Keyan's shoulder as she staggered backward.

"Shut up, all of you!"

A cold, authoritative voice pierced through the cacophony of shouts and curses.

Yin Siyao's expression was calm and composed. He glanced at the four men who were still arguing and instantly put an end to the argument.

"This is a hospital emergency room, not a market. If you make any more noise or get physical, I will call the police immediately and accuse you of disturbing public order and intentionally harming medical staff."

"All four of you, every single one of you, are going to jail. By then, not only will your kids be gone, but your wives will have run off with other men!"

Yin Siyao's words were concise, powerful, and hit the nail on the head.

The four young men were startled by Yin Siyao's cold gaze and words, and their arrogance immediately diminished.

He groaned and whimpered, clutching his wound, but dared not make a sound anymore.

Leng Keyan was supported by Yin Siyao, and looked up, still shaken.

When he saw that the person who came was Yin Siyao, a clear look of surprise flashed in his eyes, followed by a kind of joy mixed with grievance and dependence.

"Teacher Yin? What brings you here?"

Yin Siyao didn't answer immediately, but quickly looked Leng Keyan up and down.

His gaze swept over the blood-stained white coat, the bluish forehead, and the broken lip, finally settling on Leng Keyan's eyes, which, though disheveled, remained clear and bright.

After confirming that most of the glaring bloodstains came from others, Yin Siyao's heart, which had been in her throat, finally settled back down.

He breathed a barely perceptible sigh of relief, his tense expression easing slightly.

"Just passing by."

Yin Siyao's words were concise and to the point.

Just then, a nurse from the operating room rushed over: "Dr. Leng, they're urging us to hurry up with the surgery!"

"Where is Wang Shanshan's surgical consent form? Has her husband signed it yet? We can't delay any longer!"

Leng Keyan, disregarding the injuries on her face and why Yin Siyao had happened to pass by the emergency room, said, "Nurse, four people have arrived."

"They all claimed to be Wang Shanshan's boyfriend and thought the child was theirs. They even got into a fight, and neither of them would let the other sign the papers."

Yin Siyao took the surgical consent form directly from Leng Keyan's hand, her voice devoid of any warmth: "You, you, you, and you, state your age."

Intimidated by Yin Siyao's imposing presence, the four instinctively replied:

White down jacket (with a knife stuck in its stomach): "20."

Military overcoat (blood streaming from the chest): "22."

Black jacket (head split open): "17."

Green cotton-padded jacket (with a gap in his front teeth): "15."

Yin Siyao handed the surgical consent form and pen to the 22-year-old man in the military overcoat: "You, sign it. Now."

"Why should he sign it?"

"The child is mine!"

"I want to sign too!"

The other three immediately started shouting in protest, and it looked like things were about to explode again.

The operating room nurses were frantic, stamping their feet: "The patient is gestational age 2, para 1, and is currently experiencing severe bleeding and placental abruption. Her condition is extremely dangerous!"

"Surgery is necessary immediately, there can't be any more delay! Whoever is a family member, please sign the consent form quickly!"

Yin Siyao shouted sternly, "Shut up, did you hear me? The pregnant woman and the baby are in mortal danger! Do you want both of them to die?"

He then looked at the 22-year-old man in the military coat and said, "You're the oldest. If you don't want your child to die in the womb, sign immediately."

The man in the military overcoat panicked when he was yelled at and heard such serious words as "two lives lost" and "stillbirth".

He picked up the pen with trembling hands and signed his name on the consent form.

The nurse grabbed the signed consent form and ran towards the operating room.

Seeing that the die was cast, the remaining three men started arguing again about who the child's father was and who should have custody.

Yin Siyao's head was throbbing from the noise, and he coldly retorted, "If you like children so much, then raise them together and be fathers together. No one will lose out."

Upon hearing this, the three men actually stopped arguing and looked at each other.

"Okay," the boy with the missing front tooth said hesitantly.

"Wouldn't it be less stressful if we split the burden?" came the voice of someone whose head was spinning.

"Then it's a deal, we'll raise them together," the man with the knife in his stomach weakly agreed.

Yin Siyao: "..."

Leng Keyan: "......"
