When they realized that the visitor was Chen Yu, everyone was astonished.

In their eyes, this person was merely a post-natal being with a cultivation level of Void Refinement, yet he was able to enter the gates of a sage, which was truly unbelievable.

As Chen Yu stepped onto the mountaintop and looked around, he understood that these people were all those who had entered the sect earlier, his senior brothers and sisters.

He immediately bowed respectfully, displaying a humble attitude.

"My name is Chen Yu. I am a new disciple of the Sage Tongtian. I greet all my senior brothers and sisters."

Seeing his polite and respectful demeanor, everyone returned the greeting.

Even if a few harbored disdain, they did not show it. After all, having entered the sage's tutelage, who could predict what their future achievements would be?

At this moment, a person slowly stepped out, with a solemn expression and piercing eyes.

"I am Duobao, the eldest disciple personally taught by the Jie Sect."

"Now that you have entered the sect, you shall belong to my Jie Sect lineage. Stand over here."

Upon hearing this, Chen Yu immediately bowed deeply to Duobao, and then stood quietly in the queue as instructed.

The crowd fell silent again, each taking their own seat and re-entering the state of cultivation.

Seeing this, Chen Yu also sat cross-legged, closed his eyes, and regulated his breathing. However, since he had not yet been taught the cultivation method, he could only calmly sense the spiritual energy of heaven and earth and slowly absorb and refine it.

He had previously tried to observe the rotation of the sun and moon, the movement of mountains and rivers, the flourishing and withering of plants, and the breathing of strange beasts, in an attempt to create his own method of cultivation, but he never succeeded.

Now, the only way is to rely on instinct to inhale and exhale primordial energy, and slowly temper the body.

Time flies, and ten years have passed in the blink of an eye.

Suddenly a voice resounded throughout the primordial world, reaching the ears of all things:

"The apprenticeship is complete. You may all leave."

The disciples opened their eyes upon hearing the sound.

Immediately afterwards, another voice came:

"You shall enter the Sanqing Palace to pay your respects."

Upon hearing this, the crowd lined up in order and slowly made their way towards the Sanqing Palace.

As the group entered the Sanqing Palace, they looked up at the three sages seated on the high throne, and then respectfully bowed down.

"Greetings to my eldest uncle, teacher (second uncle), and teacher (third uncle)."

The three saints nodded slightly, their gazes unfathomable, and slowly began to speak.

"From this day forward, you are all disciples of the three of us, and you should guard against arrogance and impetuosity, and devote yourselves to cultivating the Way."

"The Great Way cannot be achieved in a day; the key lies in perseverance. Only with a firm belief in the Way can one enter the inner sanctum and glimpse its true essence."

After speaking, the three saints glanced at everyone and then spoke again.

"This time, the three of us will each preach for a thousand years. How much you can comprehend depends entirely on your own destiny."

After hearing this, everyone bowed again, then sat cross-legged, focused their minds, and listened attentively.

The three sages' eyes flickered slightly, and Yuqing Yuanshi and Shangqing Tongtian lightly flicked their fingertips, instantly causing more than a hundred rays of light to emerge from the void.

"This is the fundamental teaching of my sect, the Jade Purity True Scripture. You should all study it carefully."

"This is the secret scripture of our Jie Sect, the Shangqing True Scripture. You must diligently study and comprehend it."

As soon as the words were spoken, a cultivation method appeared in everyone's mind, which was the true method passed down by their respective sects.

Just as everyone was about to close their eyes and contemplate, Laozi suddenly began to speak, his voice like a booming bell, reaching straight to heaven and earth.

When the sage speaks, all things shine with brilliance. The moment he begins to speak, wondrous phenomena appear—

Flowers fell from the sky, and golden lotuses emerged from the earth; within the Sanqing Palace, the Daoist aura permeated the air, and the Daoist sounds condensed and took form, transforming into dragons soaring, phoenixes fluttering, and unicorns treading on clouds. All sorts of auspicious beasts ran through the sky, their cries never ceasing, scattering countless rays of holy light.

Behind Taiqing Laozi, a vast pillar of light shot into the sky, with swirling light and interwoven laws within it.

Every ray of light was a manifestation of the power of the Great Dao that he had comprehended.

His teachings progressed from the simple to the profound, beginning with the Qi Refining Realm, and were explained in a gentle and detailed manner. This was done specifically because Chen Yu was present.

Before the pulpit, the crowd was completely absorbed, their minds and spirits immersed in the supreme truth.

[Because you listened to the sages' discourses and possessed extraordinary comprehension, you can comprehend the cultivation method: the *Shangqing Zhenjing*.]

In an instant, Chen Yu was overjoyed. This "heaven-defying comprehension" had come at just the right time.

He had realized that without entering the holy order and hearing the holy teachings, such talent would never be unlocked.

Now, the sacred teachings have entered my ears, my understanding has been awakened, and the opportune moment has arrived.

In the primordial world, one's foundation is of utmost importance, but enlightenment is also the key to attaining the Dao. Ultimately, comprehending the universe depends on one's own spiritual perception.

Although he is a post-natal being, he possesses such extraordinary talent that he may well find another way, defy fate, and one day shed his mortal form, become a pre-natal being, and attain the Great Dao.

Chen Yu's heart was filled with turmoil. After a moment of joy, he forced himself to suppress his emotions, calm his mind, and listen attentively to the great Dao taught by Laozi of Taiqing.

For him, this was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. The sage preaching the Way was something that millions of living beings dreamed of but could not obtain.

He listened intently, his eyes flickering slightly, his mind churning with thoughts.

According to Laozi of Taiqing, one can cultivate to the level of an Earth Immortal and escape the mortal body, greatly increasing one's lifespan, but it will eventually come to an end; even if one becomes a Golden Immortal and enjoys longevity, one can still be killed and perish.

Only those who reach the Great Luo Golden Immortal realm can transcend the river of fate, refine their own Dao fruit, and attain a state of great freedom and ease.

Upon hearing this, Chen Yu frowned slightly, his face showing deep thought.

Having read countless ancient legends in his previous life, he deduced that the path he was currently describing was still at the "low level" of martial arts.

Even if one cultivates to the level of Golden Immortal or even Great Luo Immortal, there is still a risk of death in the future.

This situation was not what he wanted.

What he sought was not merely immortality, but eternal life and union with the Dao.

One is the Dao itself, immortal and indestructible. As long as the Great Dao does not perish, even if one's form and spirit are scattered, one can return from the source of the Dao.

In an instant, he borrowed fragments of knowledge from his previous life and combined them with his own "heaven-defying comprehension," and the idea of creating a new method quietly sprouted in his mind.

However, he did not rush to achieve quick results. Instead, he calmed his mind, listened attentively to Laozi's teachings, and compared and verified them with the Shangqing Zhenjing, gradually comprehending and proceeding step by step.

Ultimately, his understanding of the Great Dao was still superficial. But now, with Laozi of the Supreme Purity personally imparting profound truths, he was able to quickly comprehend the mysteries of the Shangqing True Scripture.

[Through listening to the sages preach, your understanding of the *Shangqing Zhenjing* has deepened, and the gate to the Great Dao is slowly unfolding in your heart.]

Time passed quietly, and Laozi of Taiqing ceased his preaching. In his place, Yuanshi of Yuqing began to preach.

Although Chen Yu had never formally cultivated, he had listened to the two sages discuss the Dao for two thousand years, and understood their teachings. Countless heavenly flowers fell and golden lotuses entered his body, nourishing his soul. Unbeknownst to him, he broke through the shackles and stepped into the realm of celestial immortals.

However, this celestial status was not what he sought. His ambition lay elsewhere; he only awaited the perfection of his self-created cultivation method, after which he would abandon this cultivation, start anew, and embark on the path of enlightenment once more.

Time flies, and another thousand years have passed.

With this extraordinary comprehension, his understanding of the "Tao" has been completely transformed, forming unique insights.

At this moment, he merged his memories of his past life with the teachings of the sages and began to outline the ultimate realm in his heart.

In later legends, the Great Golden Immortal is the ultimate goal of the Dao—

"The Great Luo Golden Immortal: Existing with the Dao, neither born nor dying, eternally immortal. A single thought can transform chaos, a single thought can become eternity. As long as the Great Dao does not perish, even if only a trace of their spirit remains, they can be reborn from the source of the Dao. Their existence is indescribable and immeasurable; even if seen, what is seen is only the shadow of the interwoven order of the Great Dao's origin. Transcending all time, space, and time, they reign above the tangible and intangible, standing atop the immeasurable and limitless 'nothingness,' transcending the origin of all things. In short, they are the embodiment of the Dao. As long as the Dao exists, I will not perish!"
