"I can walk." He Wanqing pushed him, but she didn't have much strength.

"I know." Mo Ye didn't let go, but carried her to the sofa, put a cushion behind her back, and poured a glass of warm water into her hand.

He Wanqing held the cup, lowered her head and took a sip. The hot water warmed her from her throat all the way to her stomach, and the bloating in her lower abdomen seemed less unbearable.

"What are you cooking?" She smelled the aroma wafting from the kitchen, sweet with a hint of ginger spiciness.

"Brown sugar ginger and jujube soup, and pumpkin and millet porridge," Mo Ye replied from the kitchen, his voice mingling with the clatter of pots and pans.

He Wanqing leaned back on the sofa, holding a cup, listening to the clanging sounds coming from the kitchen.

She looked down at her Hanfu; the belt was tied crookedly, the skirt was wrinkled, and her hair was a mess.

She reached out to untie her belt and re-tie it, but her fingers only became more tangled as she struggled with it.

Mo Ye brought out a bowl of brown sugar ginger and jujube soup and saw He Wanqing with her head down, her hands twirling around her waist, her belt tied into a knot.

He suppressed a laugh, placed the bowl on the coffee table, and squatted down in front of her: "I'll do it."

He Wanqing released her hand and watched his slender fingers weave through his belt.

His movements were very gentle, his knuckles occasionally brushing against her lower abdomen, carrying the warmth of his palm.

The knot was untied, and he straightened the belt and tied a loose bow on her side.

"Okay." He looked up.

He Wanqing picked up the bowl on the coffee table and took a sip.

The sweetness of brown sugar mixed with the spiciness of ginger burns from the throat all the way to the stomach, warming the whole body.

She took another sip, then held the bowl to Mo Ye's lips: "You should have some too."

Mo Ye took a sip from her hand, wincing at the spiciness. He Wanqing looked at his contorted face and couldn't help but laugh.

Mo Ye went to the kitchen and brought out pumpkin and millet porridge. The porridge was thick, and the pumpkin had melted into the rice grains, making it a golden bowl.

He Wanqing took it, scooped a spoonful and put it in her mouth. The pumpkin was sweet and sticky, the millet was soft and tender, and the temperature was just right.

"Is it good?" Mo Ye asked, sitting next to him.

He Wanqing nodded, scooped up another spoonful, and this time held it to his lips.

Mo Ye opened his mouth to take it, chewed it a couple of times, and thought it was pretty good.

The two of them finished the porridge, each taking a mouthful.

He Wanqing leaned back on the sofa, curled her legs up, and piled her skirt on her knees.

Her lower abdomen started to ache again, and she placed her hand on it without saying a word.

Mo Ye collected the bowls and when he came back, he saw her huddled in the corner of the sofa, her face even paler than before.

He sat down next to her, pulled her close, and let her lean against him. He placed his palm on her lower abdomen and gently massaged it.

My palms were very warm, and the warmth was gradually transferred to them through the fabric.

He Wanqing closed her eyes and rested her head on his shoulder.

He kneaded very slowly and gently, making circles around.

The lower abdominal pain seemed to melt away slowly with the warmth of his palm, turning into a dull, aching ache that was no longer so unbearable.

"How did you know to rub my stomach?" she asked in a muffled voice.

Mo Ye said, "I just checked."

He Wanqing smiled, the smile spreading from the corners of her mouth to her eyes. She hooked her fingers around the hem of his shirt and tugged at it gently: "Silly."

Mo Ye didn't refute, and continued to massage her hands slowly and steadily.

He Wanqing leaned against him, listening to his steady heartbeat and smelling the scent of his shower gel mixed with a faint sweet ginger candy fragrance.

The living room was quiet, with only the clock ticking away.

She suddenly remembered something, looked up at him, and asked, "Were you embarrassed when you went to the supermarket just now?"

Mo Ye paused for a second, then said, "It's alright."

He Wanqing stared into his eyes: "Really?"

Mo Ye paused for another second: "Someone called me a pervert."

He Wanqing couldn't help but burst out laughing, her lower abdomen cramping with pain as she laughed and clutched her stomach, crying out in pain.

Mo Ye looked at her helplessly, continuing to rub her hands. Only after she finished laughing did he say, "Funny?"

He Wanqing wiped away the tears from the corners of her eyes and said in a serious tone, "It's not funny." But she couldn't suppress the smile on her face.

Mo Ye lowered his head and kissed her forehead: "Go to sleep, it's late."

He Wanqing shook her head: "Not sleepy."

Mo Ye didn't say anything, and continued to rub the area.

He Wanqing leaned on his shoulder, her eyelids growing heavier and heavier.

The clock ticked away, and after an unknown amount of time, her breathing became long and even.

Mo Ye looked down at her. She was asleep, her eyelashes drooping quietly, her lips slightly parted, and her hand still clutching the hem of his clothes.

He gently picked her up and carried her back to the bedroom.

He Wanqing frowned in her dream, snuggled closer to him, and then relaxed.

He put her on the bed and covered her with the blanket.

She turned over, hugged the blanket, and continued to sleep.

Mo Ye turned off the living room lights, cleaned the kitchen, washed the clay pot, and put the dishes and chopsticks back in their places.

When she returned to the bedroom, she changed her position, curling up in the middle of the blankets, her skirt spreading out like a white flower.

He turned off the light and lay down next to her. She unconsciously leaned closer to him, placed her hand on his arm, and her breathing became steady again.

Mo Ye turned to the side, pulled her into his arms, rested his chin on the top of her head, and closed his eyes.

The night outside the window was quiet, and the light from the streetlights shone through the curtains, casting a soft, warm glow on the floor.

Her breath brushed against his chest, as light as a feather...

Mo Ye lowered his head and placed a kiss on the top of her head before closing his eyes.

He Wanqing was woken up by her biological clock, but her body didn't rush to get up as usual.

She opened her eyes; it was already light outside the window, and the light filtering through the curtains drew a pale golden line on the sheets.

She paused for a moment, then lay down for a while before realizing that this was the first time during her period that she had been able to sleep until she naturally woke up.

In the past, she would be woken up in pain in the middle of the night during her period and then toss and turn until dawn.

Sometimes when the pain gets really bad, I get up, take a painkiller, and lean against the headboard to wait for it to take effect.

The feeling was like something twisting in my lower abdomen, coming in waves, making it hard to sleep soundly or lie still.

But not today.

She turned her head and saw Mo Ye's sleeping face. He was lying on his side, one hand on her waist, his breathing long and steady, his eyelashes casting a small shadow under his eyelids.

Her gaze lingered on his face for a moment, then she gently and slowly snuggled into his arms, like a little rabbit that had found its burrow.

Mo Ye was woken up by her rubbing against him. He opened his eyes groggily and looked down to see He Wanqing wriggling around in his arms like a little rabbit.

He wasn't fully awake yet, but his hand instinctively patted her buttocks lightly.

The little rabbit in his arms instantly stopped moving and obediently curled up against his chest.

He Wanqing's voice came from his arms, small and soft, with a hint of guilt: "Did I wake you up?"

Mo Ye rested his chin on the top of her head, his voice still sleepy: "No, I've been awake for a while."

He Wanqing snuggled closer to him, her nose brushing against his collarbone, her breath filled with his scent.

She suddenly felt that the dull, aching pain in her lower abdomen was not so obvious anymore, she didn't know if it was because of the brown sugar ginger soup or because he was holding her like this.

Then she realized that she really wanted Mo Ye to kiss her, hug her, and lift her up high.

Don't people say that you only really want to ovulate during ovulation?

Why is this happening during my period?

While she was still lost in thought, Mo Ye's voice came from above her, low and hoarse from just waking up: "Shall we kiss?"
