The car stopped in front of the kindergarten. He Wanqing opened the car door and got out, her movements as quick as if she were fleeing something ominous.

Tongtong, carrying her little bear backpack, saw her mother getting out of the car from afar and immediately rushed over like a little cannonball, burying her face in He Wanqing's arms, rubbing her little face against her legs, her voice sweet and bright: "Mommy~ Tongtong missed you~"

He Wanqing squatted down, hugged her daughter, kissed her fair and tender little face, and said in a voice as gentle as the spring breeze in March, "Mommy misses Tongtong too."

The mother and daughter got into the car, and Mo Ye drove to the university.

Tongtong played badminton for another hour.

The little girl was particularly focused today. Her face was tense when she caught the ball, and she ran like a little whirlwind.

Su Qianyue guided her from the side, occasionally correcting her movements. Tongtong studied very seriously, muttering to herself, no one knew what she was muttering.

After playing ball, I rested for a while and then went to eat.

I originally wanted to invite Su Qianyue and Pang Siyi together, but Su Qianyue said she had booked a candlelight dinner and wanted to have some alone time.

The group agreed to eat together next time.

The three of them sat down at a small restaurant.

Tongtong sat in her high chair, swinging her short legs back and forth, picking at the rice in her bowl with her chopsticks, eating with great relish.

Mo Ye put a piece of sweet and sour pork ribs in He Wanqing's bowl, but He Wanqing put it back in his bowl. The two of them pushed and shoved each other, and finally the piece of pork ribs ended up in Tongtong's bowl.

Tongtong looked at the ribs in the bowl, then at her parents, let out a "whoosh," picked them up, stuffed them into her mouth, and chewed until her mouth was covered in oil.

Halfway through the meal, Tongtong suddenly looked up, rice grains still clinging to the corner of her mouth, and asked in her childish voice, "Daddy, aren't we going home?"

Mo Ye used a tissue to wipe the rice grains from the corner of her mouth, his voice gentle: "Daddy has a match tonight, so he won't be home so early."

Tongtong's eyes lit up. She put down her chopsticks, clapped her chubby little hands on the table like an excited little seal, and shouted, "Go, Daddy!"

Mo Ye raised an eyebrow and turned to look at He Wanqing.

He Wanqing felt uncomfortable under his gaze. She lowered her head and poked at the rice in her bowl with her chopsticks, then looked up, her tone indifferent, but the smile on her lips was impossible to suppress:

"I'm cheering for my kid too."

Tongtong's little face was full of confusion. She tilted her head, looked at He Wanqing, then at Mo Ye, and said in her childish voice:

"Mom isn't cheering for me, she's cheering for Dad, it's Dad's competition."

He Wanqing looked at her daughter's innocent little face and smiled gently.

Indeed, Tongtong doesn't understand the adult world.

She nodded, her voice gentle: "Mom made a mistake."

Tongtong hummed twice, looking like a little adult, as if to say, "Mommy, listen carefully."

She stretched out her chubby little hand, waved it in the air, and then punched the Phantom Meow Meow twice, her little face full of fighting spirit.

"Mom and I cheered for Dad! Dad's the best!"

Her voice was sweet and bright, like the first birdsong of dawn.

Mo Ye smiled, reached out his big hand to ruffle his daughter's little pigtails, and then took He Wanqing's hand.

He Wanqing did not break free; instead, she held his hand with her fingers and gently stroked the back of his hand with her thumb.

He Wanqing's phone suddenly lit up, the screen flashing in the twilight. She looked down and saw it was a message from Qin Yue.

Upon opening the message, Qin Yue's tone was as light as if she were asking what to eat for dinner: "Wanqing, are you going to the basketball game tonight?"

He Wanqing replied with a question mark, paused her finger on the screen, and then added: [Is it the one with Mo Ye?]

Qin Yue replied quickly, as if she had been waiting: 【Yes.】

He Wanqing typed slowly, but each word was typed with certainty: 【I'll be there in a bit. What, are you going to go too?】

The other end sent a cat nodding emoji; the orange cat's head bobbed up and down, looking adorable.

He Wanqing looked at the emoji, and the corners of her mouth unconsciously curved up. Then she put away her phone and glanced at Mo Ye.

Mo Ye was picking out the bones from a piece of fish with his chopsticks, and after a long while, he put it into Tong Tong's bowl.

Without even looking up, he casually asked, "Whose news?"

"Yueyue," He Wanqing picked up her cup and took a sip of water, "she's coming to watch the basketball game too."

Mo Ye paused for a moment, looked up at her, and a hint of surprise and understanding flashed in his eyes.

Shen Qing, that kid, really did call Qin Yue over.

He chuckled, a hint of感慨 in his voice: "That kid Shen Qing is got something."

He Wanqing put down her cup, her eyes lighting up like a cat smelling fish: "We can eat some melon seeds now."

Looking at her eager little expression, Mo Ye couldn't help but laugh out loud: "You like shipping couples too?"

He Wanqing tilted her head and thought for a moment, then tapped her fingers lightly on the table twice: "It depends on whose. Qin Yue's CP is definitely worth shipping."

Mo Ye nodded, placed the last piece of fish into He Wanqing's bowl, and tapped the table with his chopsticks: "Should we meet up with her?"

He Wanqing nodded, took another sip of water, and put the cup down: "Let's eat our fill and then go find her."

By the time the three of them finished their meal and left the cafeteria, it was completely dark.

The streetlights lit up one after another, illuminating the paths on campus like shimmering rivers.

Qin Yue sent a message saying she was at the basketball court, along with a photo of the court. She was the only one in the empty stands, with a few people shooting hoops in the distance.

Mo Ye held He Wanqing's hand, and He Wanqing held Tongtong's hand. The family of three slowly walked towards the basketball court.

From afar, they could see Shen Qing wearing a red and white basketball uniform, with his back to them, handing a cup of milk tea to Qin Yue with both hands.

Qin Yue sat on the bench in the stands, took the milk tea, glanced down at the label on the cup, and said something. Shen Qing stood in front of her, his ears as red as if they were about to bleed, and he didn't know where to put his hands.

Mo Ye stopped, and He Wanqing stopped too. The three of them stood a dozen meters away, like three cats stretching their necks.

"Wait a bit before going over," Mo Ye said in a low voice, "Let the bullets fly for a while."

He Wanqing nodded, deeply agreeing.

After watching for a while, Qin Yue seemed to sense something and looked up in their direction.

He Wanqing waved to her, and Qin Yue waved back, their expressions clearly saying: Hurry up and come over.

Mo Ye glanced down at the milk tea in Qin Yue's hand, took out his phone, and ordered a cup.

He Wanqing walked over and stood next to Qin Yue. The two girls huddled together, whispering something to each other.

Mo Ye walked up to Shen Qing, looked him up and down, and then gave him a thumbs up.

Shen Qing was a little embarrassed by his sudden praise. She scratched the back of her head and chuckled twice.

He knew exactly how he got Sister Qin to come over; he pestered her for two hours before she finally gave in.

He handed Mo Ye a bag that was folded up, containing a red and white basketball jersey and a pair of sneakers, the same style as the one Shen Qing was wearing.

"Yours," he said. Mo Ye took it, nodded, and called out to He Wanqing, "Wanqing, I'm going to change my clothes."
