Chapter 447 Come and hit me!
Mo Ye secretly pondered how he could possibly talk at noon. Of course, it had to be in the evening.
He remained expressionless, his voice gentle: "It's the same at noon and in the evening."
He Wanqing shook her head, her voice tinged with urgency: "It's definitely different! If we sign it early at noon, we can go back earlier."
Mo Ye thought for a moment and changed the subject: "You said before that you might be away from the company for two weeks, what will happen to the company?"
He Wanqing's voice calmed down: "Even if I'm not here, the company will be fine. Aren't there still the vice presidents and others?"
Mo Ye secretly breathed a sigh of relief, but didn't show it on his face, and asked another question:
"Then why did you ask Wan Ning to come over when you went home for the Dragon Boat Festival?"
He Wanqing's lips curled up slightly, her voice carrying a hint of an older sister's doting affection for her younger sister:
"It's just to find an excuse to give her some pocket money."
Mo Ye asked curiously, "Didn't your aunt and uncle give her any pocket money?"
He Wanqing nodded: "Yes, it's probably tens of thousands a month, but not too much."
Mo Ye raised an eyebrow, a hint of surprise in his voice: "Only tens of thousands?"
He Wanqing glanced at him: "Do you think that being a rich second generation means having unlimited money? If you want to spend money, you can earn it yourself."
Mo Ye nodded thoughtfully: "Tens of thousands is not a small amount."
He Wanqing nodded: "Yes."
After chatting for a while, Tongtong's little head peeked in from outside the camera's view. Her chubby little hands clung to Mo Ye's arm, her little face close to the screen, and she called out in her sweet, childish voice, "Mommy~".
He Wanqing's eyes curved into crescent moons: "Hey~ Tongtong!"
Tongtong tilted her head, her little face full of curiosity, and asked in her childish voice, "Mommy, where are you?"
He Wanqing raised her phone a little higher so that Tongtong could see the background behind her: "Mom is in a hotel in Shanghai right now."
Tongtong propped up her chubby little face, her big eyes darting around, and asked in her childish voice, "Where is Shanghai? Is it fun?"
He Wanqing smiled and said gently, "It's alright. I'll bring Tongtong over to play whenever I have time."
Tongtong quickly covered her mouth with her little hands, her big eyes darting around like a little fox hiding a secret.
She couldn't tell her mother; she wanted to surprise her!
He Wanqing looked at the mischievous little dumpling on the screen: "What secret does Tongtong have?"
Tongtong snorted, her little face filled with smugness and wariness:
"Mommy's still trying to fool Tongtong. Do you think Tongtong is a kindergarten kid? Tongtong is a first-grader now!"
He Wanqing clapped her hands in agreement, her voice carrying a hint of exaggerated praise and teasing: "Wow, Tongtong is so amazing."
Tongtong's face stiffened for a moment. Why did she feel like she was being mocked?
She pouted, arched her little body, crawled to the corner of the bed, then crawled back, grabbed Mo Ye's arm, pressed her little face against his arm, and announced in a childish voice, "Oh, Daddy will sleep with me tonight!"
She tilted her little face up to look at Mo Ye, "Isn't that right, Daddy~"
He Wanqing clenched her fists and gritted her teeth.
Her voice came from the screen, cold and strained, as if squeezed out from between clenched teeth: "He, Huan, Tong!"
Mo Ye felt the chill emanating from He Wanqing practically emanating through the screen, so he quickly moved his phone to the side.
Tongtong shrank back, but only for a fraction of a second before planting a quick kiss on Mo Ye's cheek. She then gave He Wanqing a defiant look, raising her eyebrows as if to say:
"Come and hit me then."
Mo Ye looked down at the audacious little dumpling in his arms, both amused and exasperated.
Why does this little girl like to court death so much?
He whispered in her ear, "Tongtong, have you forgotten that we're going to see Mommy tomorrow?"
Tongtong's little face froze. She sat up on the bed with a "plop," grabbed her hair with her chubby little hands, her face filled with panic and frustration, and wailed in her childish voice, "It's all over~"
She scratched her head, remained silent for a moment, and then slowly raised her head:
"Don't worry, Tongtong is tough, it's not like it's the first time she's been hit~"
She thought for a moment, then hardened her stance, stuck out her tongue at He Wanqing on the screen, and then slammed down the phone with her chubby little hand.
Mo Ye looked at the audacious little dumpling beside him and remained silent for a moment, with only one thought in his mind—is she really that brave?
Looking at the black screen in front of her, He Wanqing felt like an incompetent mother.
The thought of Tongtong hugging and kissing Mo Ye made her wish she could fly back immediately.
She took a deep breath and sent Mo Ye a message: "Put Tongtong in the children's room tonight."
I had just put the phone down when it rang again.
She picked it up and saw it was a voice message from Tongtong.
She tapped the screen, and Tongtong's sweet, childlike voice came through the phone:
"Mommy, tell Tongtong what's wrong, don't tell Daddy."
He Wanqing took a deep breath, then another. She couldn't get angry. It took her a while to calm herself down.
Tongtong put her phone away, hugged Mo Ye's arm tightly, rubbed her face against his arm, and said in her childish voice, "Daddy, time for bed!"
Mo Ye gently patted her head and said in a tender voice, "Okay."
He picked up his phone, sent He Wanqing a "Goodnight" message, and then turned off the lights.
It's quite late, and I have to catch a flight tomorrow.
The next morning, Mo Ye set off with two large suitcases.
Tongtong, carrying her little bear backpack, ran ahead with her short legs moving quickly, turning back to shout to Moye, "Daddy, Daddy, hurry, hurry, hurry!"
Mo Ye looked at the excited little dumpling; she had forgotten what she had done yesterday.
He couldn't help but ask, "Aren't you afraid your mother will spank you?"
Tongtong hummed in response, tilted her head and thought for a moment, then said matter-of-factly, "It's nothing! That was Tongtong's doing yesterday, it has nothing to do with Tongtong today."
Mo Ye rubbed his forehead. "You wish."
Noon, Shanghai Airport.
A man wearing sunglasses led a little girl wearing large sunflower-patterned glasses and with a lollipop in her mouth out of the house.
The little girl looked sassy, with her little belly sticking out, and she walked like a little penguin.
Tongtong tilted her little face up and looked at Mo Ye through the sunglasses that were bigger than her face, asking in her childish voice, "Daddy, where's Mommy?"
Mo Ye looked down at her, a smile playing on his lips, and said gently, "Daddy will take you to find Mommy now."
He hailed a taxi and went to the hotel where He Wanqing was staying.
They booked a room, and Mo Ye led Tongtong inside.
Tongtong spotted the big bed immediately, broke free from Mo Ye's hand, ran over, and jumped onto it with a "plop," rolling around on the bed.
Her little face was filled with curiosity and excitement as she said in her childish voice, "This is the first time Tongtong has ever stayed in a place like this!"
Mo Ye smiled, put his suitcase away, and said gently, "It's not as comfortable here as at home."
Tongtong rolled around twice, then got up and leaned against the window, her little face pressed against the glass. Looking at the towering buildings outside, her mouth formed an "O" shape, and she asked in her childish voice, "Daddy, there's a pointed building over there."
Mo Ye walked over, stood beside her, pointed to the tallest building, and said in a gentle voice:
"That's the Oriental Pearl Tower, one of Shanghai's iconic buildings. It lights up at night."
Tongtong let out a loud "Aww!", her little face filled with anticipation and excitement: "Tongtong wants to see it tonight!"
Mo Ye gently patted her head: "Okay."
