Re:Zero -Starting Life in Zero

Chapter 87 The Little Bedtime Drama of the Ghost Sisters

A faint smile appeared on Ram's lips as she pointed at Green, her tone calm yet carrying an undeniable air of command.

"Rem, go punch him in the face."

"Huh! Me?"

Rem pointed at herself in surprise, her mouth agape in disbelief.

She glanced at Grin instinctively, then quickly turned to Ram, pursed her lips in a pitiful manner, and pleaded, "But sister... Grin-kun, he..."

"Um?"

Ram raised an eyebrow slightly, a hint of unyielding coldness flashing in her pinkish-purple eyes, her voice trailing off with a silent pressure.

Rem fell silent instantly, her shoulders slumping slightly, like a kitten being scolded by its owner.

Despite the bloodline suppression from her older sister, Rem still dared not disobey.

She secretly glanced at Ram's tense profile, then looked at Green across from her, who had a mocking expression on his face.

Finally, he sighed resignedly and slowly moved in front of Green.

The girl clutched the hem of her clothes, her eyes lowered, not daring to look at him.

puff!

After hesitating for a long time, she raised her little fist and slowly placed it on Green's face.

"Slurp~"

Feeling the slight pressure and warm temperature on his cheek, Green couldn't help but laugh and, as if possessed, stuck out his tongue and licked it.

"ah!"

Rem was startled and quickly withdrew her hand.

Ever since confirming his relationship with Green, this guy has become even more fond of teasing me.

She hurriedly winked at Green towards the door and whispered urgently:

"Grimm, Rem thinks you'd better run!"

Ram covered her face in exasperation.

"Rem, you're spoiling this guy too much. Your future standing in the family is in jeopardy."

Rem turned around and smiled sweetly: "It's okay, big sister. The love between Grin and Rem is real, and Rem firmly believes it."

Grimm hugged Rem from behind, rubbing her warm belly with his hands.

"Rem is so touched. I guess I have to respond to this love. I love you, I love you, I love you, my brain is trembling..."

Rem noticed that Green was restless and his hands were moving downwards, so she quickly picked them up and placed them back between her waist.

"Grimm, be good now!"

"Okay, my dear wife, no problem, my dear wife."

"Oh dear, who can save Ram? We have to think of something."

Ram shook his head helplessly, his heart filled with mixed feelings.

The damned talent of being able to have two hearts synchronized has really ruined her life.

Ram had no intention of separating from Rem. She had already decided that even if Grimm and Rem got married, she would still have to stay at the mansion to work.

However, Grimm and Rem always have moments when they're together, and at those times, it's impossible to stop the transmission of their emotions and feelings.

The thought of the wave of oxygen deprivation that washed over her last night made her heart pound.

Last time, the message was diluted by the distance of thousands of miles before it reached us. If the young couple were being affectionate next door, Ram felt he would definitely be doomed.

Ram had foreseen this outcome long ago.

The reason she was so exhausted when replenishing her mana was partly due to the pleasure of the surge of mana, and partly because she was desperately trying to control the flow of her emotions.

"Then take your time thinking about it. Rem and I are going to have a little meeting."

Grimm pursed his lips and pushed Rem's shoulder, about to teleport back to the capital through the Opportunity Door on the wardrobe.

Ram's eye twitched; she felt that Green, that bastard, wasn't listening to her at all.

"Stop! Rem has to rest with me today."

"No! Why should you sleep with my wife? Do you treat me like an incompetent husband?"

Grimm held Rem tightly in his arms, watching Ram warily.

Rem nestled affectionately in Grin's arms, closed her eyes, and smiled happily.

"Alright, Grin, please be understanding of your sister. Rem will make it up to you later."

Green's eyes widened in surprise, and he asked, "A one-time compensation?"

As soon as she finished speaking, the girl seemed to suddenly realize the ambiguity in her words, and her cheeks flushed bright red.

"No, no!"

She kept her head down and spoke in a very low voice.

"It's just... it's just about making some delicious food for Green-kun... or giving you a leg massage or something..."

Ram couldn't stand it any longer, so she strode forward, reached out and "snatched" Rem from Grimm's arms, giving Grimm a disgruntled look.

"It's astonishing that you can now hide your profanity within normal vocabulary."

As she spoke, Ram helped Rem to the bedside.

The little girl stretched and then curled up softly under the covers, blinking her bright eyes: "Goodnight, Grin-kun, dream of Rem tonight too!"

Ram also lifted the blanket and moved closer to Rem, waving at Grimm like shooing away flies: "Turn off the magic lamp before you leave."

Green pursed his lips and reluctantly moved to the magic lamp, tapping his fingertip lightly on the crystal of the lamp base.

The warm yellow light seemed to have its breath cut off, and suddenly vanished, leaving only a hazy silver glow of moonlight seeping into the room from outside the window.

Green's footsteps made a distinct sound as he walked, swaying all the way to the Opportunity door embedded in the wardrobe.

He reached out and grasped the cold metal doorknob, and with a soft "click," he opened the door a crack.

Green paused deliberately, and even pretended to lift his foot, lightly tapping the toe of his shoe on the threshold, creating the illusion that he had already stepped in.

After doing all that, Green crouched down and quietly made his way towards the bed in the dark.

He harnessed the power of the Beast Prince, and his eyes gradually transformed into vertical pupils, granting him night vision.

Rem turned to the side, quietly watching the dark figure approach her, a sweet smile curving her lips.

The girl had only one thought in her mind: Green is so cute.

Finally reaching the bedside, Grimm slowly raised his head and his eyes met Rem's.

Green paused for two seconds, then immediately whispered something in his ear.

"Honey, lean back a little..."

Rem obediently made room for Grimm.

Using Rem's movements as cover, Green darted onto the bed, matching the rhythm of her retreat.

A sigh came from Ram in the silent darkness. How did her lovely little sister become so love-struck?

"Sigh, I'll have to throw away Ram's bed tomorrow..."

"You're not asleep, Ram?" Green asked casually, without any guilt.

"Does Ram look like the kind of creature that can fall asleep in an instant?"

"Then move in a little further, I'm about to fall down," Green grumbled, pushing his luck.

"You don't happen to have some kind of superhuman skin, do you?"

Despite her stubbornness, Ram moved a little further inside; the small bed was a bit cramped for three people.

Grimm finally got his wish, and he lowered his head and snuggled into Rem's arms, the faint fragrance of the girl's hair lingering around his nose.

Ram closed her eyes resignedly. Grimm was right. He and Rem couldn't keep treating each other with respect because of her. Wouldn't that make Rem live a life of widowhood?

Let's try to get used to it as much as possible.

She and Rem are the only two remaining members of the Oni race; they cannot stop the revival of their race.

Green noticed Ram's compromise, secretly glanced up, and said disdainfully:

"Are you crazy, Ram? Do I look like that kind of lecher? I'm here to talk business."
