Highway Survival for All: My RV's Infinite Evolution

Chapter 116 True Despair! A Horde of Billions of Zombies!

Time passed by, second by second.

This "strange downpour" targeting vehicles lasted for a full three hours.

During those three hours, the entire city of Busan seemed to transform into a giant water city.

Because the city has been abandoned for many years, its drainage system has long been paralyzed, and large amounts of rainwater have gathered into rivers, flowing back into low-lying areas along the streets.

"Gurgle..."

Inside an underground parking lot, the water level is rising at an alarming rate.

"No! Water's coming in! The exhaust pipe's going to be flooded!"

"Drive the car out of here! Staying here is just waiting to die!"

"It's blocked! The exit is blocked! Cars in front, move faster!!"

Those casual players who thought they would be safe once they hid underground are now plunged into even greater despair.

In this post-apocalyptic world, if a vehicle stalls and gets flooded, it's practically a death sentence. What's more, water is corrosive to vehicles!

Countless vehicles broke down or were scrapped due to traffic congestion.

Just when everyone felt hopeless.

Sudden.

The pattering sound of the rain gradually subsided.

The dark clouds seemed to have parted a little, and the suffocating, eerie rain actually... stopped?

"It's stopped? The rain has stopped!"

"I survived! Waaaaah... My car only has 10% durability left, it was almost totaled!"

"Thank God!!"

Countless players wept with joy, peeking out from their cover.

"Is this the first test? It's terrifying!"

In just three hours.

Not a single monster has appeared yet, but just one rain shower has already destroyed nearly 30% of the players' vehicles in Busan!

however.

Inside the RV.

Looking at the suddenly clear sky, Lin Hui's unease not only didn't disappear, but intensified to an extreme.

This feeling is like the calm before a storm.

It's too quiet.

Apart from the cheers of the players, the whole world was eerily quiet.

There wasn't even a whisper of wind.

Something's not right.

Lin Hui abruptly stood up and barked, "Qingqian, activate the radar at full power! Liuxi, go to the third floor! Bailing, have the Tyrant Angel take the monitors into the air for surveillance!"

"yes!"

Seeing their boss's serious demeanor, the three women dared not be negligent and immediately went into battle mode.

Just then.

hum-

The ground suddenly trembled slightly.

At first it was very slight, like a subway passing by in the distance.

But then the vibrations grew stronger, and the water glass on the table began to shake violently, spilling water all over the floor.

"An earthquake?"

The players outside looked around in terror.

"No...it's not an earthquake."

Someone pointed towards the outskirts of Busan, their voice trembling as if they had seen something utterly terrifying: "Look... what is that... what is that?!"

Lin Hui saw that scene clearly through the aerial view transmitted back by the "Tyrant Angel".

All around Busan, the once calm wall of gray mist began to churn violently, like boiling water.

Followed by.

"roar--!!!"

A roar that seemed to come from the depths of hell exploded between heaven and earth without warning.

The sound didn't seem to come from a single monster, but rather from the simultaneous roar of billions of wild beasts, the sound waves rolling and even drowning out the previous thunder, causing the ground to tremble slightly.

Everyone's smiles froze instantly.

They stiffly turned their necks to look at the outskirts of Busan, towards the direction shrouded in gray fog.

The next second, everyone's pupils dilated violently.

The wall of gray fog that enveloped the city was now churning violently like boiling water.

Followed by.

The black tide has breached its banks.

That's not water.

Those are zombies!

An endless stream of zombies!

They burst forth from the gray fog—no, they "gushed forth"!

Countless zombies were crammed together, trampling and shoving each other, some even being pushed into the air by the horde behind them.

This number is neither several thousand nor tens of thousands.

This is a tsunami composed of billions of zombies!

Looking out, the horizon was a dark, endless expanse.

Like a black flood, they rushed towards the center of Busan at a breathtaking speed, following the streets, overturning ruins, and crossing rivers.

"Roar roar roar!"

At the forefront of the zombie horde were thousands of agile zombies, who moved on all fours and scaled the walls like geckos.

Behind them were towering, two-meter-tall, powerful zombies that smashed through everything in their path like siege tanks.

Even more terrifying is that the horde of zombies also includes a large number of high-level zombies, and even a Tier 4 Tyrant!

"run!!!"

A piercing scream shattered the deathly silence.

The players have gone crazy.

Just moments before, they were basking in the joy of the rain stopping. Now, they wished their parents had two fewer legs, and scrambled towards their vehicle.

Boom boom boom!

The roar of engines echoed throughout the city.

But it was too late.

The zombie horde advanced faster than anyone could imagine, especially those players who had no vehicles and could only run on foot; they were instantly swallowed up by the black tide.

"Ahhh! Help me!"

"No! Don't bite me!"

"Da da da da!"

Gunshots, screams, and chewing sounds instantly intertwined into a symphony of death.

Those players who were hiding in low-lying areas and hadn't had a chance to drive their cars out were blocked by the zombie horde in the underground garage and torn to pieces along with their cars.

"This...this quantity..."

Even Yang Ruoling, who was used to seeing big scenes, couldn't help but turn pale and her hand holding the gun trembled slightly as she faced the Rose Society's convoy.

A zombie horde of this scale cannot be stopped by a few guns or cannons.

This is the real-life Busan trip!
