Oh no! My yandere school beauty is so clingy!

Chapter 9 Helping each other isn't that difficult, is it?

He deliberately opened the door a little wider, his obese body blocking the doorway. His gaze swept over Shen Yu before returning to Lin Anran's pale face, the malice in his smile almost overflowing...

He chuckled, leaned against the doorframe, crossed his arms, and adopted a posture of watching a good show:

"You think you're so capable? You think you're so tough? You've only been here one night and you're already back to apologize? Let me tell you, Lin Anran! If you don't kneel down and admit your mistake today, don't even think about stepping through this door! You fucking..."

His words abruptly ended...

Because Lin Anran didn't even look at him, nor did she hear his subsequent foul language.

She simply turned her head slightly and whispered to Shen Yu behind her, "Wait for me."

Then, as if she hadn't seen her father blocking the doorway, she squeezed right past him...

The man was probably taken aback by her reaction; he froze for a moment, and she managed to push open a small gap...

Lin Anran walked into this home she had no attachment to, her gaze quickly sweeping over the familiar yet suffocating living room.

Dirty clothes were piled on the sofa, empty bottles and cigarette butts were scattered haphazardly on the coffee table, and the floor was filthy...

Without pausing, she walked straight to her small room.

The man then realized what had happened; the smug smile on his face froze, replaced by a furious rage at being ignored.

"Are you deaf?! I'm talking to you! Who let you in?!"

He wanted to chase after her inside, but Shen Yu took a step forward and blocked the doorway.

Shen Yu looked at him calmly, saying nothing, yet her gaze was like a silent wall...

The man felt a sudden chill run down his spine under the man's gaze. Remembering the boy's appearance in the alley yesterday, the curses that were about to spill from his lips caught in his throat. Instead, he roared, his voice trembling with fear:

"You little brat, it's you again! This is my house! Get out of here right now!"

I didn't go in.

Shen Yu replied indifferently, without going in. He simply stood at the doorway, his gaze turning to the inside of the house, seemingly checking on Lin Anran's condition.

An Ran walked into her small room and suddenly stopped in her tracks.

The sight before her made her stomach churn...

The wardrobe door was wide open, and the few clothes inside were roughly pulled out and thrown all over the floor.

Several shirts were crumpled and piled up on the ground, as if they had been stepped on.

What was most jarring was her neatly folded underwear... now it was pulled out separately and carelessly tossed at the foot of the bed.

One of the bras had several dried, yellowed stains on it...

Sticky, ugly, and reeking of a nauseating fishy smell...

Lin Anran's face turned deathly pale in an instant. She bit her lower lip hard, her teeth digging deep into her flesh.

Only then could I barely suppress the nauseating feeling that surged up from deep in my throat.

She stood in the doorway, her fingers digging deep into the wood chips of the door frame.

For a few seconds, her mind went blank, filled only with intense tinnitus and a surging murderous intent...

But she quickly suppressed the dizziness.

Instead, there was a cold, almost numb resolve.

She didn't even glance at the stained clothes again, as if they were just roadside trash.

She didn't want any of those stained clothes, nor could she ever want them again.

That's disgusting!

She walked quickly to the desk, the only relatively tidy place in the room.

The drawer had been rummaged through, but thankfully nothing seemed to be missing.

She quickly stuffed several important notebooks, documents, and the only old photograph her mother had left her into her schoolbag.

The movements were quick and steady, without the slightest hesitation.

Then, she turned around and walked out of the room without looking back.

In the living room, the man was still confronting Shen Yu, cursing under his breath: "What are you looking at, you little bastard! Believe me or not, I'll take care of you too!"

Shen Yu ignored him completely, only looking in the direction of Lin Anran.

Lin Anran picked up her schoolbag and walked straight to the door.

Her gaze swept over her furious father, finally settling on Shen Yu's face, her voice calm:

"Alright, let's go."

The man became even more furious when he saw the schoolbag in her hand:

"What are you holding?! You dare take my stuff?! Put it down!"

He reached out to grab the schoolbag.

Lin Anran suddenly turned to the side to dodge, and finally looked up to face her father, whom she no longer wanted to acknowledge.

There was no hatred or anger in his eyes, only a bottomless, utter chill.

She said, word by word, "Nothing here is yours; it's all mine!"

After saying that, she stopped looking at the man's face, which had instantly turned ashen and contorted, and nodded to Shen Yu:

"Let's go."

Shen Yu's gaze lingered for a moment on her pale yet unusually calm face, then swept over her backpack, which appeared to be empty of clothes.

He didn't ask any more questions, but simply stepped aside, separating her from the enraged man once again, and protected her as she turned and left.

Behind me came a man's hysterical roar and the loud sound of things being smashed.

"Fuck you! Lin Anran! Even if you beg me on your knees this time, I'm not letting you come back! You little brat, you really think you're all grown up now, huh? Let's see how you live!"

Ignoring the man's roar, the two took the elevator downstairs.

The elevator doors closed, and Shen Yu simply took Lin Anran's bag with one hand, slung it over his shoulder, and said:

"Didn't you bring any clothes?"

Lin Anran was slightly taken aback, staring blankly at Shen Yu's natural action, before shaking her head and saying:

"I don't want those clothes anymore."

Shen Yu seemed to understand what was going on, nodded, and said:

"It's okay, I'll take you to buy some clothes. There's a shopping mall right next door."

Lin Anran lowered her head, remembering that she didn't have much money left. If she bought clothes, it probably wouldn't be enough. Perhaps she should save the money for when it would be more useful...

"But I... don't have much money left. Forget it, I'll just buy it online when I get back; it should be cheaper that way."

Shen Yu glanced at her and said indifferently, "You don't need to pay, I'll buy it for you."

"Um??"

Lin Anran looked up at Shen Yu with some confusion in her eyes:

"What did you say? I don't need it, I don't need your money..."

Shen Yu remained silent for a moment, looking at Lin Anran's profile.

Then, he reached out and gently patted Lin Anran's shoulder, saying, "Do you know, Lin Anran..."

"Actually, I was quite happy when you agreed to stay with me, because... just like you, I also found someone who can empathize with me. It's like... living in darkness for a long time, but suddenly finding a companion..."

"I haven't told anyone about those things, only you know them, so to me, you are special, someone who can understand my pain."

Shen Yu's words echoed in Lin Anran's mind. She didn't respond, but lowered her head slightly.

My fingers were clasped together, and I felt a strange, indescribable joy...

Only...I myself know...

Shen Yu continued:

"So, stop refusing. Helping each other isn't that difficult, right?"
