"Guan Jinyue, you must take your people and leave the Northern Border immediately." The Bear King didn't look at them again, turned around and transformed into a sky full of snow and ice, disappearing into the air.

The dozen or so elite scouts on the ground were also swept up by a gust of demonic wind and disappeared without a trace.

Only Chen Guan and Guan Jinyue remained on the snowy plain.

"This king has a pretty good temper." Chen Guan looked in the direction where the Bear King disappeared and chuckled softly.

Barr's brand works really well.

"It's not that he has a good temper, it's that he doesn't want to risk the fate of his entire clan against a capricious demon god." Guan Jinyue turned and walked towards the entrance of the huge ice cave.

"Let's go too, lest things get complicated."

Guan Jinyue led the way, and Chen Guan followed behind him into the huge ice cave.

The entrance to the ice cave is wide enough for two trucks to pass side by side, and the surrounding walls are made entirely of deep blue solid ice.

The further you go in, the faster the air temperature drops.

The breath that Chen Guan exhaled condensed into white ice crystals in mid-air and fell to the ground.

"This place is quite grand." Chen Guan looked around at the glowing ice walls and broke the silence in the passage.

"The royal court of the demon race has always been particular about grandeur; they believe that the larger the size, the more it demonstrates the majesty of the royal family." Guan Jinyue led the way, his footsteps echoing crisply on the ice.

Baal hummed in Chen Guan's mind.

"These beasts, all muscle and no brains, love to do these flashy but impractical things."

Chen Guan ignored the complaints in his mind and looked at the huge totem murals on the wall.

"What are these murals depicting?" Chen Guan asked, pointing to the menacing patterns.

"That's the history of the Ice Soul Bear Clan's reproduction and war records." Guan Jinyue glanced at the carvings on the wall.

"They like to carve every battle they win on the wall; it's a very primitive way of showing off."

"The first Bear King was a war fanatic, and it is said that this Ice Crystal Altar was forged by him using the blood and bones of the defeated mixed with the ice of the North."

Chen Guan stopped and took another look at the wall. The first generation of Bear King was indeed quite unique in appearance.

"Then this place must be filled with resentment, which is a pity." He raised his right hand and looked at it.

The black mark on the palm was quiet and showed no signs of heat.

"It's been too long. The negative emotions of those who died have long been frozen and dissipated by the cold air of the ten-thousand-year-old jade." Guan Jinyue continued to walk forward, her pace quickening as she thought about what awaited her ahead.

The two rounded a huge bend, and the space in front of them suddenly opened up.

This is a domed hall the size of a football field, with no supporting pillars, carved entirely from a single, crystal-clear block of ice.

In the very center of the hall stands a towering circular altar, upon which rests an ice coffin emitting thick white mist.

The temperature here is tens of degrees lower than outside, and the air is filled with visible frost.

"That's it." Guan Jinyue's breathing became a little rapid.

She strode towards the steps of the altar, completely ignoring the frost covering the long, icy steps and the slippery ground beneath her feet.

Chen Guan followed behind her at a leisurely pace, and he could sense the extent of the emotional fluctuations in the usually aloof person in front of him.

Guan Jinyue walked up the last step and stood in front of the ice coffin.

Inside the ice coffin lay a girl dressed in a white dress. Her skin was so white it was almost translucent, and her features bore a resemblance to Guan Jinyue, though she lacked some of his sharpness and possessed a more delicate appearance.

She lay there quietly, without even a rise or fall of her chest, like a fine work of art.

Guan Jinyue stretched out her hands and placed them on the edge of the coffin lid. The cold mist spread upwards along the back of her hands and frost formed on her sleeves.

"Xiao Heng," Guan Jinyue called out a name softly.

Her usually expressionless face completely crumbled at this moment, her eyes gradually reddening, and warm tears slid down her cheeks and dripped onto the ice coffin.

The tear froze into a crystal-clear ice bead the moment it touched the ancient jade.

Chen Guan stood on the steps a few meters away from the altar, watching this scene without making a sound to disturb this rare reunion.

He watched as Guan Jinyue took out the special container that held the soul; the faint light on the surface of the container flickered in the intense cold air.

"Your sister has come to take you home," Guan Jinyue whispered to the girl in the ice coffin, her voice trembling uncontrollably.

For three whole years, she traveled to various places to find this sleeping body.

In order to retrieve that fragment of her soul, she didn't hesitate to travel to Shanghai and delve into that deadly tower.

Now, she has finally found all the puzzle pieces.

"Do you need my help?" Chen Guan asked from a few steps away.

"No need, I'm sorry, I lost my composure today."

She calmed her somewhat disordered breathing.

"I waited three whole years to find this half of my soul."

Guan Jinyue looked at the container in her hand that was emitting a faint light.

"Three years is enough time for a person to forget many important things."

"The fact that you still remember to come here to pick her up and take her home is already much better than most people."

He offered a dry, empty consolation in this way.

Touching the ice coffin beside her, Guan Jinyue was about to take the person away when Baal's voice echoed in her mind: "Hey, little girl, are you planning to just take the person away?"

"Your spatial laws cannot even create a long-term, stable physical storage area out of thin air."

"If we bring back your leaky outpost, will you feel at ease? Don't try to make your Lord Baal laugh."

Barr was very clear about Guan Jinyue's situation.

"There will always be someone, or even someone who isn't human, watching that place day and night, just waiting for you to go back and walk right into their trap."

Guan Jinyue has offended everyone – humans, demons, monsters, and everyone in between.

Only a kind and benevolent demon like His poor Lord Baal would overlook her sins and generously forgive her great disrespect.

Unfortunately, not everyone in the world has the magnanimity of Lord Baal.

"Do I have any other choice?"

Guan Jinyue smiled self-deprecatingly; how could she not know?

If this world were a novel, she would probably be the villain who has committed countless crimes, just waiting for the day when the protagonist's sword pierces her chest.

Death was her destiny.

"Hehehe, I have a plan." Baal, unaware of her pessimistic thoughts, let out an evil laugh.

"Isn't that kid standing in front of you, and his big purple-furred cat, capable of spatial abilities?"

"You've put your skill points into teleportation and killing, but that purple-haired cat is different. Besides, this little leopard's storage space is far superior to that of a cheap storage ring."

"Its space even has its own complete set of circulation and regulation rules."

Barr exposed all of Leopard's secrets.

It can't be just Chen Guan causing trouble for Him; doesn't Lord Baal have any pride?

"The life-sealing power of the ten-thousand-year-old cold jade, combined with the natural breeding ground of laws in its space, makes this environment a perfect match."

"Leave the person inside for a while, and maybe your sister will grow up to be plump and healthy."

Baal's laughter grew increasingly unrestrained.
